I would say that this place was not bad. Wasn’t great but not bad either. Kate said she would go again. The prices are fair and the pulled pork sandwiches are massive. We both had the Jersey pork sandwich. It comes with a southern sauce and slaw. The slaw was good and crunchy and added to the sandwich. We also got some sides. We had their Sweet Mashed potatoes and they were ok but nothing special. The potato salad and baked beans were pretty good but once again nothing to special. The prices are fair especially for the amount of food you get. Next time I wouldn’t mind trying their Ribs.

It’s all about the roll! The cheese steak hoagie was perfect. Large servings, good prices and great customer service. We will be returning here!

Stopped at Pappy’s with my family for dinner. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was fantastic. My wife had the BBQ ribs which were very tasty juicy and tender. My kids had the chicken which was very juicy. The service is great as well, the owner is on site it make sure everything is cooked to perfection. You have to stop here any chance you get!

Never had a bad meal. Friendly staff and amazing food. Seriously in my opinion the best ribs in South Jersey. Meaty and tender. Better than Famous Dave’s, better than Brother Bear. Pizza is pretty amazing too. If you’re in the Ocean City or Marmora area and craving some amazing BBQ hit this place up!

Awesome if you like the local drug addicts taking your credit card info and casing your house on deliveries.

My boyfriend and I stopped in this place on our way back to Maryland, and not being from the area, had no idea that it sucked. Not only did the pizza which I ordered make me sick for more than 10 hours afterwards, the old woman who works there is not a friendly person. In fact, this woman was very hateful towards me. I walked in before my boyfriend and approached the counter, and the old woman turned around because she heard the door. She glanced my direction, turned her head, and kept doing what she was doing as though I were not even standing there. No, hello– nothing. Then, my boyfriend walks in and she gives him an immediate hello and can I help you type of greeting. Since we were starved and could not find anywhere else to look(after driving around) and had to catch a ferry, we ate at this nasty slop house and put up with the hate stares which the old woman gave me the entire time. Talk about dining with the devil and truly tasteless«food». It is obvious that CERTAIN people are NOT welcome in this place, so if you look like me, stay away and spend your money where you’re treated like a human being.

Eeeeeew… i was exicited to finally have bbq after spending awhile in the area without having anything close to good bbq. upon entering the restaurant i immediately got nervous because it was empty at 12:00 on Saturday. prime time for lunch. we ordered the garlic knots that were god awful being both cold and flavor less. next was the spicy pulled pork sandwich, honestly it tasted like microwaved lloyd’s. There weee four of us and nobody could finish there meal… stay away!!! Frankly one star is too many!!!

I have gotten a roast whole pig two years in a row from Pappy’s, for a family reunion both times. My cousins are all Texans and loved the pig, I am a trained chef and I loved the pig as well as the other 40 people who ate from it both times. If you want to have a great party when your down the shore, order a whole roast pig from Pappy’s, you wont be dissapointed :)

You don’t go to a BBQ joint for pizza! Pappy’s pizza is just average, if you want pizza in Ocean City go to Mack Mancos, but if you want really excellent BBQ Pappy’s is the place to go! We look forward to eating there every year when we go down on vacation. Ribs, pulled pork every thing we’ve had there has been good. Not fancy by any means, the atmosphere is very much a take out place, but the BBQ is awesome.

We ordered a sicilian pie with bacon on it. It was on the flat side and it seemed like they used one slice of bacon and scattered it over the pie. Other than that they are really friendly there and there service was good.

Pappy’s — AKA Crappy’s. At work, our boss would buy us all pizza from Pappy’s and none of the employees would even eat it because they would get sick for hours afterwards. When boys turn down free pizza, you know it has to be bad!

I LOVE buffalo wings. I have my favorite wing places, but I’m always open to new wing experiences. My parents love Pappy’s for wings. I took them to the C-View in Cape May for my favorite wings, and they said Pappy’s were almost as good so I figured I’d give it a try. I was so disappointed. It was a Saturday night so I figured it’d be a good night to get wings, but they were undercooked and undersauced and very underyummy. I’m 0 for 3 with the new places I’ve tried recently. I’m willing to give these guys another shot though in a month or two. I’ll let you know how it goes.
