Vango’s is the home of the oldest pizza parlor in Marquette. We are your neighborhood bar and restaurant.

We specialize in only the freshest, homemade food in town. We make our own dough and sauce from scratch, and use only the freshest vegetables for all of our pizzas, soups, salads and specials. We invite you to come and taste the difference!

The food is amazing (which is the only reason we keep ordering) but I think it would kill them to get an order to us in a reasonable amount of time and correct. The last 3 or 4 delivery orders I’ve made have been either incorrectly or been delivered cold and in at least twice the estimated time. So, great food, but either dine in or pick up your order and thoroughly check it!

Great pizza and waffle fries. Service was a little slow on a busy Saturday night and my husband’s gyro was sent back because it was cold. Otherwise great place for a family meal and reasonably priced. Our server seemed to be the only one working in our section but she did a pretty good job trying to keep up with all the filled tables.

Would not recommend. It’s a restaurant where really none of their ingredients are homemade. I think they are trying to keep the original décor alive but it’s dingy. The service was slow. All friendly but inattentive. You could tell there was no actual organization among their wait staff.
We ordered a pizza along with appetizers. I think I would have enjoyed a frozen pizza from the grocery store more.

Solid local place to eat in the Marquette area. Had a Cudighi with the works (mushrooms, green peppers and onions). The Italian sausage was really good, but the bread was very soft. It didn’t fall apart, but toasted bread would have made it better. The pizza sauce on top was flavorful and all the veggies were cooked well. The best thing I had though were the waffle fries. They’re not made fresh in house, but they’re still really good. Cooked crispy with a side of ranch. Definitely a good place to stop.

This place is a solid three stars. It’s always nice to visit local businesses, and Vango’s is a Marquette staple. Going to NMU for three years, I’ve had my fair share of waffle fries.
Their pizza is good, their chili is also okay (a bit sweet for my taste — but perfect when you throw waffle fries on top)! Their Greek dishes are some of the better entrees on the menu. The aforementioned waffle fries are served perfectly crispy with a delicious side of ranch, although they are not made in house.
I’ve been here a few times with large groups and have always been accommodated well, I would recommend this place for large groups, although it can get busy. The service here has always been good, the last time that we were here Amanda and Lynn were our servers, and Lynn was fantastic!
This place may be a solid three, but it’s great to support a local business, I would recommend Vango’s for sure if you’re in Marquette.

Great food and at a good price! The menu isn’t to extravagant, but the food is still very good. I love the feel inside. If it was a NMU sports night I’m sure it would have been super packed. The service was very good and the environment was clean. Loved it!

Yum! A Marquette standard that never goes out of style. Ate here yesterday with my family and we all walked away satisfied.
I had the gyro and it was delicious– although a bit smaller than previous years. The waffle fries are tasty too.
The service was very good– no problem accommodating the kiddos. They checked on us often and left us needing nothing. Can’t ask for more!
Definitely a place to check out if you are visiting the area– and a regular visit if you live nearby.

Cugahi is my new obsession. I took a risk on a regional favorite & wow! Perfectly seasoned, juicy & yum! Perfect hearty sandwich after a day of hard hiking in Pictured Rocks. The service was super prompt & friendly. The only down side of this restaurant is that it’s a thousand miles from my house!

I’ve lived in the MQT area for almost eight years and I can definitely say this is my favorite restaurant in Marquette! The food is always consistent and fresh! Did I mention cheap? Great bang for your buck. They are open late every night of the week and have take-​out and delivery, which is gold for us college students. I am obsessed with their Greek salad and I usually pair that with mozzarella sticks. Also the pizza,
Cudighis, and waffle fries are insanely good.
I would highly recommend anything on their menu. Also great staff, cheap beer and cocktails. I love Vango’s!

Took my son and his family here for dinner. Service was good as we’re all the entrees except my cudigi. The meat could have used a few more minutes on the grill to get a nice chat and the bun sogged quickly making it hard to hold and eat. Other than that, everyone went away happy.

We are visitors who came here with local friends. This place is famous for good Greek food in the area, and for it’s pizza. What is not so well known is that this place makes a «killer» Rueben sandwich! The meat is grilled before assembly and the result is delectable! Waffle fries were perfectly tender/​crisp. All four of us had the Rueben and waffle fries! A really great treat!

I liked Vango’s. When I walked in, I wasn’t sure what to think — it seemed like a combination of a Country Kitchen-​type restaurant and a neighborhood bar. But I was pleasantly surprised.
We had a party of six, and we only had to wait ten or so minutes for a table, which was excellent. Since Vango’s serves both Greek food (spanokopita, for example) and bar food (like chicken wings), I had a tough time making up my mind, but I ultimately ordered the Greek combo, which was a slice of spanokopita and three grape leaves (dolmeh), which were huge. They came out covered in a lemon egg sauce, which was pretty bland but not terrible. The spinach pie was pretty good, though. If you have an appetite, I would recommend ordering a gyro or something else, because my dad didn’t seem to get enough to eat.
We would have ordered dessert, but nothing caught our eye. All in all, Vango’s is a pretty legit place to stop in for a bite to eat, but it’s not going to knock your socks off.

Great food — I recommend a burger, sandwich, or gyro with waffle fries. They give you a dipping sauce for the French fries that is amazing! The pizzas aren’t too shabby either! Local beer. Good atmosphere. Will be going here again and again.
