Zip Chicago

We’ve zip lined in the Smoky Mountains several times and had a great time so my nephew and his buddy had to go again. These guys are professional yet made it such a fun experience! So happy to have it nearby…

What a blast. Newbie Zippers, will be back for sure. Guides were great too. Check Groupon, they offered great discounts.

This was our second time ziplining here. Our tour started at 6:00, so it got dark as we went. It was very fun and a different experience from the day tour. Our guides were Steve and Cory. They were very helpful and friendly. We had a rather annoying older guy in our group who constantly was making rude comments, yet the guys continued to be pleasant and friendly. Definitely a fun time and would recommend it.

ZipLining? Great — five stars. Course entwined with Cliff’s ATV park. Guides — professional and friendly. Gear in good shape.
Check-​in? Horrible — 1 star. 50 minutes late start. Hot as heck and no viewing windows. Frequent WiFi signal problems known, but no follow-​up calls to guides for their schedule confirmation.
Mapquest from Chicago is correct — stay the course! Pass through Seneca and watch on your right side.

EXCELLENT TOUR!!! I always wanted to do zip-​lining, but never had the chance… I’m very glad I picked Zip Chicago to do my first zip-​lining.
All the staff were very friendly, especially our guides: Steve and Zach! They are AWESOME!!! They were very professional and helped me a lot landing lol Also, they took pictures of us and carried our phones in their backpacks. That was really a lot of extra work, but I never noticed any unwillingness/​reluctance on their faces. In one of the short lines that are designed to teach us how to land on the ground, I turned backwards (of course not on purpose) approaching the end on the line, so it was hard for me to land with walking/​running in the end… Unfortunately, one of my shoes popped out LMAO. Steve even helped me putting on my shoe… What a nice guide!
This is one of the funniest experience I have ever had in the woods. Thinking about going back for the evening tour in the future.

Had a great time zip lining with my family. Instructors were very friendly, absolutely no skill needed to have a good time!

Cute ziplining place in Illinois (about 1.5 hours SW of Chicago). I was expecting a lot worse since my first ziplining experience was through the jungles of Jamaica but they actually did a great job with the zip lines being under deep tree canopies. They also mixed them up between short, fast and long runs as well as having a double ‘race’ line through the parking lot. The movable bridges were also fun. I think this is a great way to spend a family afternoon for the kids and the adults can have a little fun also.
Tip: wear old, closed toe shoes with some traction since there is some hiking through mud between the lines.

Wow — this was so much fun! I went with my parents and one of their friends (they are all in their 60’s) and we had such an awesome time. Jesse and Stacy were our guides and they were really great. We were the only 4 people on the tour that day (mid-​week in May) which was nice since we were all first-​time zippers.
Most of us were a little scared going in – I’d actually say that the bridges though are the scariest part! We felt completely safe the entire time though in the capable hands of our guides who made sure that we were always attached to the safety cables. They made sure that everyone was comfortable and had a great time.
The scenery is beautiful — it is all in a nice wooded area. After the first couple of zip lines and the bridges you do some hiking in between the zip lines. Near the end, you get to do a racing zip-​line where you go at the same time as someone else in your group on a parallel line — this was very fun (you do the same one twice). But the best one is the line that is second to last — it is the longest and you get to go pretty fast.
Really great experience — I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try zip lining!

Our group had a blast! First time zippers! We are so coming back for the night time tour! We were able to take the 2.5 hour tour and wow so worth every penny. Stacy, Amy and Jesse were amazing guides, they made our first time zip the best ever!
The safety process for each step of the process was six sigma quality. The team work your team demonstrated was stellar! They were fun and engaging and enabled our group to have the best possible zip line experience.
ps.Beth was the best in helping us register and getting us there when our GPS failed us!
We are planning our next trip!

This was my first time zip lining and it was a blast! the guide was fun and helpful. the long tour is 8 ziplines, but they repeat one twice… which was no big deal for me. Id definitely do it again and recommend it to someone else.

Took my husband as a 44^th birthday surprise date which ended up being a great day!!! It was just the two of us so we were paired up w three other people who added to the fun trip! The guides were fun and made the trip relaxing. We will definitely be back and going to bring the whole family!!! Thanks for a great experience!

What an amazing experience! The staff were knowledgeable and kind! This was my first time zip lining and it was such an wonderful experience. The 8 zip course was really fun — and exciting.
The only downside is that the last 3 lines are really just repeaters :/​
Also, bring a water bottle! It gets hot :)

Very good zip lining outfit. Very good equipment and very safety conscious! My only advice is for the guides to smile a little more and have some fun with the guests. They come across as «all business». Now I’m not suggesting to be less safe, I’m just saying it would be ok to admit this is a fun thing. I have been on 4 other zip trips in other states/​counties and the attitude of the guides really is the make or break.

Had a fun filled afternoon with our guides Stacy and Amy. Safety was their first concern and it was a good feeling. The suspension bridges were a bit of a challenge for me but once I got past that hurdle the rest of the afternoon was all about fun! I would encourage anyone interested to give Zip Chicago a call and book a tour. You won’t regret it! Thank you ladies for making the afternoon such fun!

I had such a fun time! This was my first time zip lining and it was such an amazing experience. My family and I did the full trip which included 8 zip lines and 2 suspension bridges. Walking on those suspension bridges were something that I have never done before, but were a blast! All of the zip lines were exhilarating and had such beautiful views. The trees and scenery were breath taking and added to the experience.
Our tour guides were very focused on safety and there wasn’t ever a time where you weren’t attached to something when waiting to go on the zip lines, getting off the zip line, etc. They also were very friendly and willing to help while making the experience as unique and fun. I was so happy with my experience and would certainly go back.
*As a side note, make sure to bring insect repellent as you are in the forest and it does get buggy.

Out of the group of 10 — 8 of us were zip line firsts! This place is great and they do a wonderful job of making you feel comfortable. We had a gal with us that overcame her fear of heights!
So much fun and worth the trip for first timers to get a good feel for what it is like. The guides take their time to work with you and make sure each person is comfortable.
So if you are up for some fun and a bit of hiking I highly recommend !!

This place is so tucked away I had no idea it existed. I hope that it continues to gain publicity and momentum. I went on a great fall day at 10am — nice time of day to go zipping. This is a great place for someone who wants to get out and have some out of the ordinary fun. There are a couple of really fast zips and others slower but each were a lot of fun. The bridges were also fun to walk across. Also, it was just beautiful out there; the hiking between the zips were enjoyable on their own. Overall if you like to be outdoors and want to fly through the air this is a great place! Make sure to ask for their deals that they may be having. The tour operators were pleasant over the phone and helpful and safe during the tour — Tip them! It was so easy for anyone, I would say the harder part could be the hiking or the bridges. Bring a camera with a strap or make sure you can enclose it away in your pocket with a zipper just in case. I think winter would be fun too as well as the night zip-​lining.
Make a day out of it. Come here for ziplining and then head to Starved Rock later for hiking!

This was my first Zip experience. I loved it, they really took care of me. Please tip your guides, they deserve it!

Zip Chicago is great! It’s definitely quite a trek to get there from the city, but it’s worth it. I had a ton of fun! The course is a decent length, but I wish you got more speed on some of them. Two zip lines got good speed, but the rest while fun were a bit of a snooze if you’re on the more adventurous side. If you’re a thrill seeker then this will be a cake walk. If you can, try to go on a smaller sized tour so that you can avoid long wait times in between lines.
