Charlotte Phinney

Charlotte and her team were absolutely incredible! They made the getting ready process easy and fun, and everyone looked stunning at the end. I have never felt more beautiful, and know my mother and mother-​in-​law felt the same.
I had 11 bridesmaids, which made the preparation process no easy task… but Charlotte, Lyndsay, and Erica made everything run smoothly. Nearly every bridesmaid had a different hair style, and each one of them loved how they looked. One bridesmaid is getting married in a few months and is now going to get married in the same hair style Charlotte’s team put her in!
Charlotte is wonderful at both hair and makeup, but also runs a great business. She is very professional, responsive on email, and super organized. She created a timeline for all 15 people getting ready and stuck to it… there was never a single moment of stress. In addition, Charlotte and her team are friendly and personable and added a calming air to the entire day. I highly recommend Charlotte & Co. for any special event on the Cape or in Massachusetts.

I loved working with Charlotte, Marissa, and Camryn. Marissa and Camryn were with us on the day of the wedding. They were very flexible and met us at our hotel to do hair and makeup. It was so much fun having them be a part of my day — they were great to talk to and friendly, and we just had a blast. The hair and makeup for me and the bridesmaids as well as the mother of the bride turned out absolutely fantastic and lasted through the whole day. I couldn’t be happier with the job they did, and they really helped me feel so beautiful on my wedding day.

Charlotte’s Team did a fantastic job! We worked with Giana and Annemarie. They were incredibly flexible (we had a few girls decide to get hair and makeup done last minute), were incredibly efficient and timely, and everyone was very happy with the way their hair and makeup turned out!

I used Charlotte Phinney for my wedding day. One of her contracted hairstylists, Kate was assigned to myself and my wedding party. She did a fantastic job! The communication was great, my hair looked fabulous and I would recommend Kate and Charlotte to anyone!

I could not be happier with my decision to hire Charlotte to do hair and makeup for my wedding day. I have very curly hair and a lot of it, which intimidates a lot of hair stylists; so I was very nervous about finding someone to do my hair for my wedding day. But when I went to Charlotte for my hair and makeup trial she made me feel like it was no big thing. She did a great job managing my curls and styled my hair perfectly based upon a few pictures I showed her of what I was looking for. I also loved the way my makeup turned out, which again was based on a couple of photos I found online.
On the wedding day, it was so convenient that Charlotte traveled to my hotel where I was getting ready, rather than having to go to a salon and run the risk of traffic, or my stylist being late, etc. Charlotte arrived right on time and quickly got to work. She did hair and makeup for me and my husband’s mother, my sister’s hair, and my flower girl’s hair. Charlotte did a great job making everyone look their most beautiful! My husband’s mother was not entirely sure of what she wanted, so Charlotte helped her to figure that out, and she did an amazing job!!!
It was such a pleasure to have Charlotte there with us while we were getting ready. She is so friendly and easy going, which was definitely appreciated at such a stressful time!
My wedding day was a bit windy, so I asked Charlotte at the last minute to stay extra time for touch ups. Charlotte altered her plans for the day in order to come along for family portraits and do touch ups! My up-​do withstood the wind, no problem, but my husband’s mother’s hair was down and she really appreciated that Charlotte was there to fix her hair after the wind. She also touched up my makeup a few times, and after that, it held up for the entire ceremony and reception!
I have never felt more beautiful in my life as I did on my wedding day, and I have Charlotte to thank for that! I would definitely recommend Charlotte for any bride and her girls!

Charlotte, Marissa and Ashley did the hair and makeup of my bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride, Step Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom and the bride (me). The entire experience working with Charlotte and her team was extraordinary.
Charlotte did a cut and highlight for me in November 2014 at her Salon and I loved how perfect my highlights were and it was the best cut I had ever had. I then had a hair and makeup trial and she did exactly what I asked for from her looking at a picture. A few days before my wedding, I decided to change the style of my hair and I sent her a picture to see if the change would be ok and she once again did it perfect on the day of. Everyone’s hair and makeup came out amazing. My mother is 64 (sorry Mom!) and she was absolutely stunning! Charlotte’s team was just amazing. They were professional and they tailored everyone’s makeup so that their natural beauty was enhanced.
Charlotte was quick to respond to emails, phone calls and texts. She even puts together the wedding day timeline for everyone’s hair and makeup so that the day was streamlined and stress free. I am honored that Charlotte and her team were part of my wedding day. Thank you!

Charlotte is simply amazing! She did my makeup for my wedding and made me look so beautiful. She had done my sister-in-law’s hair and makeup for her wedding to rave reviews a couple years ago too.
On my big day, Charlotte made sure that I looked like myself only better and fancier. She gave me a glow that lasted all day and put on lashes to die for! The lashes looked so natural and people thought they were mine. I actually loved my makeup so much that I slept in it, false lashes and all, and wore it to my wedding brunch the next day.
My bridal party and mother also had their makeup done by Charlotte and they all really loved their makeup too. My mom kept her lashes on for the brunch the next day too. My photographer, who hadn’t worked with Charlotte before the wedding, was really impressed with the bridal party’s makeup asked for Charlotte’s card. A friend who was at the wedding and is getting married soon asked for Charlotte’s card too. Everyone just raved!
In addition to being an incredible makeup artist, Charlotte is also very calming and sweet — I was a stressed out bride the morning of the wedding and was able to relax as soon as I was in Charlotte’s capable hands.
Thank you Charlotte for making me look so beautiful and feel so wonderful! I wish I could have you do my makeup every day! I will definitely use Charlotte for any makeup needs in the future and highly recommend her services. She’s a gifted makeup artist and a lovely lady as well!

I knew Charlotte was right for me when I got a quick, helpful response. Though her prices were a little more than others’, I found that her professionalism, her ability, and her traveling salon made for the best experience possible. I hired Marissa from Charlotte & Co. to do hair/​makeup for my wedding day on August 2, 2014 and she was the best! I honestly cannot say enough about her and this company and do not know where to begin. I found Charlotte & Co through the Knot and hired her based on reviews from other brides. From the beginning, Charlotte was nothing but professional and responsive. She went out of her way to make sure I found a stylist who was the right fit for me on my wedding day and did everything she could to make sure I was happy and comfortable. This is how I ended up with Marissa and could not have been happier.
When I first met Marissa at my trial run, I couldn’t help but feel like she was someone I have known for ages. She is such a warm and friendly person and made me feel comfortable with her right from the start. Marissa really listened to what I wanted and worked with me to make sure I got the most perfect style for my wedding day. As a bride, with so many other anxieties, she made me feel at ease so leading up to my wedding day this was one less thing I had to worry about.
On the wedding day, Marissa was on time and let her true talents shine as she so flawlessly pulled together such stunning looks for me and my bridesmaids. A couple of my bridesmaids were skeptical in the beginning because they couldn’t imagine someone could do their hair/​makeup in such a short amount of time but Marisa is such a natural talent that she had everyone looking beautiful in no time at all. Needless to say, they were all impressed with the final results. All I can say is WOW! Everyone in my bridal party looked stunning and I could not have been happier with the final results.
We also loved the airbrush make up! I would definitely recommend this to any bride on her wedding day… it really does last all day and I didn’t even touch up my make up once. I have never received so many compliments about my hair/​makeup and neither have my bridesmaids. Even as I showed someone pictures today, they commented on how much they loved my hair and make up and asked me who did it.

Chartlotte & her team are the absolute ‘Dream Team’. They’re punctual and a pleasure to work with. She made my family, friends and I look absolutely beautiful on my wedding day. I’ll never use another hair/​make up service, she is the absolute BEST.

I used Charlotte for my hair and makeup for my wedding in June. I had 9 bridesmaids, and Charlotte and her team (Annemarie and Marissa) were able to finish all the hair and makeup with time to spare. Charlotte is very professional, responsive, and flexible (they came to my hotel to do the hair and makeup). Everyone looked fantastic!

I hired Charlotte Phinney to do my hair and makeup for my wedding, and she did an amazing job. She was punctual, professional, and very caring. I wanted very natural looking makeup, and was extremely pleased with the outcome. When I could not find the lipstick color she had used during our trial run, Charlotte ran out the day before my wedding to buy it herself.
Charlotte is also great at improvising. At the spur of the moment, one of my bridesmaids decided she wanted her hair done by Charlotte, and Charlotte gave her a beautiful hairstyle that complemented her features. My mother also had her hair and makeup done by Charlotte, and despite being really unsure of what she wanted Charlotte to do, Charlotte gave her a wonderful makeover.
In short, I highly recommend Charlotte Phinney for her professionalism, ability to creatively think on her feet, and her talent.

I started getting my hair cut with Charlotte once I booked her for my hair/​makeup for my wedding. She did an outstanding job on my wedding day. Everyone commented the entire night on my hair. I loved the look and feel of the airbrush makeup. She also did my 2 sisters hair which came out great. Charlotte is patient, listens to what you want, and makes you feel at ease on the big day. I would definitely recommend Charlotte Phinney for hair and makeup.

Charlotte and Annemarie were simply a delight to work with! Charlotte was both professional and sweet; a truly calming force. Having never had my makeup professionally done, I was afraid of looking like a completely different person on my wedding day. Charlotte assured me at our trial session that her goal was never to go over the top, but to make each bride look like her best self on her best day. Charlotte and her team certainly delivered! I could not have been happier with my bridal makeup. Everyone looked beautiful. The makeup was understated, yet glamorous; exactly the look I was going for. Not to mention, it lasted well into the evening. Since my wedding, I have had multiple brides-​to-​be ask me for Charlotte’s contact information as a testament to the amazing job she did for me. I am excited to work with Charlotte and her team in July as a bridesmaid for one of my best friends!

Charlotte and Annemarie did my make-​up for my wedding this past September. They did an incredible job! My entire bridal party was thrilled with their hair and make-​up — they felt and looked beautiful! I also have a young sister (only 10) and they did a great job on her hair and made her really feel special. Her look was completely adorable and very age appropriate. My mom and mother-​in-​law both also had their make-​up done and looked great. One of the things that impressed me most was how organized Charlotte was. We had a timeline all set and she even suggested that we begin a half hour earlier to avoid any possible delays. I really appreciated the fact that she used her professional judgement. I would definitely recommend Charlotte and Annemarie to any bride.

Annemarie did my makeup and hair for my wedding on 5÷27÷12. Charlotte, first of all, was great at communicating with me via email to answer all my questions and get everything arranged. I drove almost two hours for my trial appt. Some people might have thought I was crazy but it was so worth it! Annemarie was awesome. She is very personable, listened to what I wanted, and created just the look I was going for. She did a beautiful job with the make-​up! I did end up passing on the airbrush make-​up for the day of, it was a little too heavy for me, I wanted somthing a little more natural. (And she was fine with that.) Also I ended up changing my mind on what hairstyle I wanted for the day of. I was a little nervous about this as we had done something different in the trial, but Annemarie did a fabulous job and created just the look I had in mind. (And I’m very picky when it comes to my hair!) She also did 5 of my bridesmaids hair the day of– she was so quick but did a beautiful job on everyone– creating exactly the look each girl had asked for. I would highly recommend both Annemarie and Charlotte to anyone!

Charlotte and Annemarie are just fabulous! Charlotte was so prompt at getting back to me on any questions and so helpful setting me up with Annemarie pre-​wedding. Annemarie was SUCH a joy to work with during my hair and makeup trials and on my wedding day. She really took the time to listen to what I wanted and did an UNBELIEVABLE job! I used extensions to give my hair more volume and she suggested what type and where to get them and even got me a discount (talk about going out of her way to help!). On my wedding day she was so cheerful and flexible and just did a fantastic job on everyone’s hair and makeup. I absolutely LOVED the entire experience and would HIGHLY recommend both Annemarie and Charlotte to anyone. Thank you both so much!

I had the pleasure of having Charlotte do my makeup, my mother, mother-​in-​law and my bridesmaids. She also did my mother and my mother in laws hair updo’s. Charlotte was my second makeup trial in my quest to find the PERFECT makeup for my wedding and the second I met her I knew she would be my makeup artist. My makeup was so important to me and she made me look my most beautiful, flawless self. I literally have never felt or thought I looked glamourous, but Charlotte made me feel and look like a movie star on this most important and special day. The airbrush was absolutely amazing, and through the heat, dancing, etc it still looked perfect 10 hours later (We had a freak of a 90 degree day in May). I cannot possibly recommend Charlotte enough. She was warm, calm and listened to all of my anxieties and requests. An absolute doll to work with, I would use her again 100x over! Her prices are totally reasonable and so worth every single penny!

I had a trial run for my wedding with Joanne and she did an amazing job! She was very professional and listened to how I wanted my hair and makeup done. The day of my wedding, she did my hair and makeup exactly how she did it in the trial run.
On my wedding day, Joanne also did my mother’s makeup and it came out gorgeous. It looked very natural. She did my sister and stepdaughter’s hair, too, and both of them came out great.
I cannot say enough about Charlotte Phinney and especially Joanne. I would HIGHLY recommend Charlotte Phinney.

I just had a trial run of hair and makeup for my wedding, and all I can say is wow! I almost never wear makeup or fuss with my hair and, any time someone has tried to put make up on me, I’ve felt a) not like myself and b) that I look like a circus clown. Needless to say, I was utterly terrified about the idea of someone airbushing makeup on my face, applying false eyelashes, and using rollers and hairspray on my virgin (ok, not quite virgin, but nearly virgin) locks. Charlotte immediately made me feel at ease with her professional, warm, and lovely demeanor. She asked a lot of helpful questions and was very patient and reassuring that she would keep the look natural, while at the same time making me look special and beautiful for my wedding day. I am so excited to have such a wonderful and talented woman work on my hair and makeup for my wedding. Thanks, Charlotte!
