Specialties

Friendly service serving up fresh American breakfast and lunch using local and organic ingredients whenever possible. Breakfast is served all day. We proudly serve 100% organic, fair trade coffees hand roasted by Eastham’s own Beanstock Coffee. And we grind our bean fresh with every pot!

Come see our new menu and remodeled dining room. We now feature some of the best Italian specialty items south of Hanover street. Try our House meatballs on fresh ciabatta rolls, or an Italian panini. Or our delicious cod cakes with real home baked molasses brown bread. Fast take out available, too, with scratch baked muffins, biscotti, and even our yummy baked donuts! If you haven’t tried the NEW Mills yet, you owe it to yourself to stop in!

History

Established in 2014.

The Mills Restaurant has undergone many owners and renovations in it’s near 60 year history. The current owners, Mark and Anne Ferro, have brought a new direction to the small, local eatery with a focus on value and fresh local ingredients. Customers are raving about the quaint, and comfortable new dining room and new amenities. We pride ourselves as locals serving locals. Let us serve you, too, no matter where you’re from.

Amazing food! Amazing service! Everyone is welcoming and kind! Would highly recommend coming here if you live near by or are visiting, definitely make it a point to come by for breakfast/​lunch! Very cute small café! Would highly recommend the Steak Burrito… Or any of the subs, they are fantastic!

Felt like eating at home with the family – cute, intimate, lively house-​like atmosphere. Tons of delicious freshly baked food items tantalizing us when we walked in, refreshing unique menu of delectable meals we couldn’t decide what to order. We ended up with lobster/​spinach/​boursin cheese & crab/​asparagus/​boursin cheese egg-​white omelets with a plate of apple crisp french toast too good to pass up. The «ultimate home fries» were amazing and hearty with red potatoes, peppers, onions, bacon & zucchini with hollandaise sauce on top. The friendly staff made the experience even more pleasant. We’ll definitely be returning when we come back to town!

We stopped here for breakfast on our way to a December round of golf (woohoo!). It’s cute, cozy, and the food was yummy. Staff was attentive and pleasant. Their home fries were excellent, and the house version (a little extra $) has cheese and bacon and were a delight.

As a life long resident of Marstons Mills, The Mills had a stigma for being a dirty, dive to grab breakfast. But after new ownership and a facelift, they are pumping out some delicious special items along with the standard eggs and toast, cooked just the way you like.
The dining room looks and feels like going home, the staff is all smiles and they love to converse between themselves and the regulars. They serve endless Beanstock coffee and never let you see the white on the bottom of your mug.
If you are still wary of The Mills of the past, have no fear. This is a whole new restaurant, the only thing it shares with the old régime is the locale.

The Mills restaurant is a fabulous place to come for breakfast or lunch. The staff is lovely. The owners Marc and Ann take pride in every dish that is served. The kitchen staff, headed by Oneal, are as talented as any chefs in the cape.
The creative menu that always has new delicious additions make the adorable restaurant a special treat every time we come.
As you enter you will notice the home made baked goods. Be tempted and order one item. It is worth the calories.

We decided to stop here on our way home from the Cape and I am so glad we did. First off, the restaurant is small but very welcoming. Any larger, and it would lose its local appeal. The food was really good. We ordered many different things and everything was amazing. You can definitely taste the freshness and how organic everything was.
We had Ashley as our waitress and she was outstanding. She checked on us several times and accommodated every request we had. I have never left a 50% tip before but I did that day because she was that good. Kudos to Ashley.
We will be back again!

This place was incredible. We waited 10 minutes for a table because the place was packed, but the food came out at a good pace. The coffee here was also really good, and constantly refilled.
I had the lobster omelet, which was fantastic. The entire omelet had excellent flavor and was perfectly cooked, without overcooking the lobster. If I had any complaint, it was that the home fries were a bit boring– just potato with not a lot of spices– but I’m happy to overlook that.
My wife had the sausage, and it was fantastic. This place is just really great.

This café open 7AM to 2PM was one of the highlights of my annual trip to the Cape. It’s in Marston Mills but just on the border of Osterville and 1.5 miles from where I stay. I walked to and from three times and it was consistently great.
The menu is unusually long for a breakfast/​lunch place of its kind. The hollandaise (which I didn’t try) is homemade and cheap. The corned beef hash with poached eggs was terrific and so was my veggie cheese scramble.
Most surprising, the local organic coffee (which you can buy for 11.99 a bag) some of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted.
You see a handful of Bentleys in the parking lot next to pickup trucks and Honda Accords: a perfect metaphor for the Cape, where you have a great many wealthy people living amongst those who cater to them in various capacities.
It’s much cheaper than comparable places in LA or Santa Barbara and the quality is higher.
I love the Mills and can’t wait to go back the next time I am on the Cape, which I hope will be before next summer for my annual pilgrimage.

Of course, it happened to be my second choice, simply because their Sunday all-​day breakfast menu was stripped of roast pork, leaving my primary (a delectable sounding Cubano) out of reach. Same went for the roast pork eggs benny, obvi. Super.
You can’t fault a tiny, local diner for running out of stuff, so I don’t. But you can find an under-​dressed lobster roll, riddled with cartilage and that unshakeable «previously frozen» texture capable of sucking the entrancing charm out of an otherwise lovely spot.
It wasn’t bad; it was just A-​OK. If the potato salad and jalapeño corn muffin ($ 3) are any indicator, The Mills has much more potential, and for that, it’s short-​listed for a «prove me wrong» return visit. Fingers crossed for that pork (or that house-​made corned beef hash)!
Sodas are bottled Pepsi products; coffee is bottomless. Smiles are free.

This place is a nice find. It’s tucked away and seems really small from the outside, although there’s probably seating for 25 – 30 inside.
If it’s a busy day (summer time) you’ll probably have to wait.
The food has been really good almost every time, save for the occasional overreach from the chef on a combination that didn’t compliment well.
If you stick with a basic food choice you won’t be disappointed. (Hopefully)

If you love homefries, DON’T get them here. Awful, brown potatoes, dry to the bone and covered in some seasoning I can’t even describe.
However, the main meals are pretty tasty. They do an apple crisp French toast. They even offer honey vs. syrup. So, I would go back. Just have to substitute for the homefries.

Breakfast is fantastic! Got there at 10 am on thurs and seated right away. Waitress greeted us with coffee and took orders. All the staff are pleasant and they smile at us. The young hostess at the front was lovely. Wow! What a difference from Percy’s! (See my review on Percy’s and you will never want to go there– my bf and I definitely won’t)
The lobster egg Benedict and the lobster omlet were wonderful. They came out quickly and it was just what we wanted. I can’t wait to come back to try the cheesecake pancakes. The waitress told us there are little pieces of cheesecake in the pancakes — like little pieces of heaven I would guess! Yes please!

Dined at The Mills for Breakfast on a weekday morning in 2014… pay no attention to the 2013 & earlier reviews. Under new management in 2014 with fantastic service & cuisine. Their breakfast options are nothing short of exciting, using fresh locally sourced ingredients. Near everything we had was homemade, from the toast of my French toast to the hollandaise on my wife’s lobster eggs benedict. Well plated, intentional breakfast, perhaps one of the best I’ve ever had. Plus the service was attentive, helpful regarding local attractions & completely charming.

The new owners of The Mills have really stepped up and elevated this place in all aspects. Improvements abound from the stylish new logo, updated interior, the service and most importantly the food!
Going on a Thursday morning, we pretty much had the place to ourselves– there was plenty of business but not the crowded rushing type– and it was quite enjoyable.
Everybody was attentive and friendly and the food was much improved. If you read my old review you will know exactly how I felt about this place and I am pleased at the complete turnaround and will most definitely be returning again!
