Reigning Cats And Dogs is dedicated to providing thorough, professional, and loving pet and home care. Services include 1 – 3 daily visits; overnights in your home; individual walks; pet taxi to the vet, groomer, etc.; and home security. Sorry, I do NOT board pets (the site has boarding/​sitting combined. I can’t choose one). As a former Law Enforcement employee, Lisa routinely handled confidential information, property and evidence and checked citizens’ home while they were away. Calls and emails are promptly returned, updates happily given, and excellent rufferances — er, references. Lisa is flexible, always punctual, and responsive to you and your pets needs.

Areas served are: Martinez, Pacheco, Concord, Pleasant Hill, Pittsburg (San Marco, Bailey exits only), Clayton, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda. Alamo, Danville, Diablo, Blackhawk and San Ramon may incur a small mileage fee.

History

Established in 2008.

Reigning Cats & Dogs was born out of a desire to spend more time with pets. Next, was what to call the business. It was a raining January day. The play on words and commitment to treat pets with the respect they deserve (as royalty) were the reasons for the name.

Meet the Business Owner

Lisa D.

Business Owner

Lisa grew up around numerous cats and dogs. She performed pet and house sitting over the years for family and friends, mostly for free. She left her longtime job in Law Enforcement to completely concentrate on caring for animals.

Lisa is licensed, a member of Professional United Pet Sitters (PUPS), supporter of Tony LaRussa’s Animal Rescue Foundation and is trained in Pet First Aid/​CPR.

She is an avid reader of pet books, watcher of animal programs, and can’t resist petting any cat or dog she encounters!

In her spare time, she and her rescued dog, Kona, enjoy exploring new places and meeting new friends.

Lisa is an excellent animal caretaker! She took care of my cat, Murphy whenever I’d go out of town and cared for him like he was her own. She is very sweet with Murphy and showed him a lot of attention and love. She also took care of other things when I’d go out of town – watering plants, taking out the garbage, getting the mail… I highly recommend Lisa – its definitely worth it. She even left Murphy Christmas presents. I’m moving out of the area and wish I could bring her with me!

I have been using Reigning Cats and Dogs since Lisa opened her business several years ago. She is AWESOME!
The first time we used her she took care of our 150lb. Bullmastiff and our elderly cat. Lisa had no problem walking our dog and giving our cat medicines. She’s able to handle any special needs.
Just recently she took care of our two new kittens who are 4 months old. When we returned from our trip the house was in order. The mail had been brought in and our kittens seemed very happy. I was able to enjoy my time away because I have full confidence in Lisa. She is responsible, trustworthy, attentive and very capable.
I would highly recommend Reigning Cats and Dogs for all of your pet sitting needs.

Lisa from Reigning Cats & Dogs just watched our three dogs and did a great job. She is really thorough and our dogs seems very happy when we returned. Normally, the dogs are overly excited and insecure when we get home and this time it was like we’d been gone a few hours.
I would recommend Lisa to anyone.

I recently found a great pet sitter! My experience with Lisa of Reigning Cats & Dogs was great. She took care of my cat while I was away. When I returned, Boomer wasn’t mad at me like he normally is when I go on a trip. Lisa had obviously spent time with him and kept him calm and happy. Lisa also handled the mail, newspaper and garbage. I appreciated that Lisa was very organized prior to my departure. I really felt comfortable with her, which helped me relax on my trip. I highly recommend her!
