I took my daughter here, because we were going to do henna designs on her Arms. I also went there at the suggestion of a lady who does henna art for a living. She told me this is the store where she gets her supplies. She was going out of business, to persue something else. But, we still wanted to do designs. As I said my daughter and I went in there to get henna supplies. 1.I noticed that the store was very dirty. 2. Then I notice it was nothing but men shopping. 3. The store was very disorganized. 4. No one offered to help or greet us. 5. The older Indian man was extremely rude to me when I came to the counter and asked if they had any piping bags for the henna. 6. The guy seemed to throw a hissy fit because I used a credit card on a purchase that was under $ 10. 7. He acted like he didn’t understand English. And, when I walked out of the store, he was speaking perfect English . I will not be going back to this particular«Asian» grocery store. Because, St Louis has a huge Indian/“Asian” population, and there is a better store just around the corner! Do not go here if you like yourself. If you hate yourself more power to you.

Great little store with all the Indian foods you might need and a very helpful, friendly staff.

No thanks! I’ll go out of my way to find another Asian specialty store. I began working in this neighborhood a few years ago, and I remember seeing the store front thinking, «Oh, great, now I know where to go if I need a specific ingredient.» NOPE. Not the case here. Here’s what I’m not crazy about. They call this place«Asian Spices» and the front of the store is covered with signs of various selections of Asian cuisine. But when you walk in, all you see, are shoddy stacks of primarily Indian foods. And that is fine, if you are up front and let the consumer know that you specialize in Indian food. But instead, they advertise what they don’t carry. Also, being Filipino, I am not at all fond of how they advertise«Fillipino» food. 1) They don’t have it, and 2) if you’re going to advertise you have it, make sure you spell«Filipino» correctly. Ugh… Don’t go here. If you need it right away, go to Schnuck’s across the street. If you have time, do some research and find the right store for your needs. Also, they need to clean the store up and have a little pride in their display. They should go next door to the Mexican store to see how it’s done.
