Was looking for a breakfast place to treat my daughter on the last day of school. Had completely forgotten this place existed. Remembered the name. .but couldn’t recall the place. .just that I had been there once over 10 years ago. Any how. .you walk in. .and like another Unilocaler said. «It’s like walking into grandma’s house». We happened to walk in at the exact same time as 8 other groups looking to fill their bellies… so I was nervous how long the wait would be. …but it wasn’t long. Only 2 waitresses on the floor. …but watching them reminded me of the days I worked in busy restaurants that were«home style». No one is rushed, but you don’t stop moving. .refilling waters, coffees, bringing condiments, and taking orders. Bussing your own tables, reseting, refilling the side station. Waitresses were smiling, the«hostess» definitely had the mostest. She was every where all the time, supporting the wait staff, greeting customers, doing whatever to ensure things ran smoothly. There’s a sign hanging when you walk in that says: Enter as a stranger, and leave as friends. That epitomizes this place. The employees knew people by name, and treated them as friends and family. This is not a, «I’m in a hurry… we have to grab a bite and go» kind of place. It’s a sit down, chew your food, no cell phone on the table kind of place. We went for breakfast and both ordered lunch because we had our hearts set on crepes… which were not on the menu. Lunch was delicious. .but we saved room for dessert… because we had seen on the chalkboard up front that they had bread pudding. OHEMGEE… it was incredible. I HATE raisins. .so I was so incredibly happy to have ZERO raisins in the bread pudding! ! Any how. .happy I rediscovered this place so many years later. .what a little gem in the middle of Marysville.

Saw a friend post this place this morning and came to try it out. Glad I did! Excellent food, large portions and friendly staff! A little noisy in here but otherwise we’ll worth it! Breakfast and lunch only… they close at 1:45 pm. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs… delicious! Definitely plan to come back and try more!

There Hash browns are the best we have ever had. On Sunday after church we love to have coffee, 2 eggs over easy, sausage patties and # 1 Hash browns. The service is outstanding.

Sunday breakfast. Short wait, clean, good friendly service, hot food served in timely manor. Fair prices for good portions. Recommend.

I’d rate this place higher but it was COLD. I asked them if it was always cold in there and they acted surprised that I asked. All of the customers were wearing their coats. I had my coat on and my husband’s coat over my lap. My phone said it was 66 degrees and every time someone went through the door a draft went through the restaurant. For this reason alone, I wouldn’t return. Not until the weather warms up anyway. Now onto the food. I’d say it’s average. Definitely not worth sitting in a cold restaurant on hard chairs for. It’s a cute restaurant though, service was fast and friendly, but… did I mention it was cold?

Really great breakfast at good prices. Kids loved the pancakes and eggs. The country eggs Benedict was awesome. Great service.

Found this place a couple of weeks ago and have been back since then. Stand by for a long wait on the weekends, unless you’re there at opening time. Overall, great place and friendly service and the food came out fairly quickly. We’ll be back for sure.

The food is pretty good… the fries are great, actually, but I was underwhelmed by the service. It seemed like the servers were very attentive to the over-60 crowd, which made up at least 70% of the people eating lunch there on a weekday, but my friend and I didn’t seem to be a priority. Our waitress spoke politely enough, but her body language was very off putting… I’m pretty sure I caught her glaring at me once, and then a friendlier waitress took over for the latter half of our meal. Perhaps my request to leave the cheese off of my veggie burger offended the initial waitress and she had to repose herself? The prices were a little high for conventional diner fare, but there were some vegetarian options and the veggie patty was better than most. Overall, I don’t think I’ll be back. The fries were amazing, but I’d rather find a place where the staff is friendly to everyone… not just those with white hair.

I have had breakfast here three times. The food has always been fast and good, three different meals ordered all were tasty. Portions are good for the price and the service was always nice. Only gripe I had was the baby seats were dirty every time, easily cleaned thoigh, just had to ask. Great place to eat!

My wife and I stopped in on a Saturday morning for a quick breakfast. It was very open, with tables on the sides as opposed to in the middle of the room. Service was a bit disjointed — two people brought us water, and the first person seemed a bit scattered as to how to take our orders. With that out of the way, the food itself was very good and very well priced. My wife had a pancake while I went with the biscuits and gravy. Good-sized portions — definitely worth the $ 20 we spent. We will come back!

My husband and I really enjoyed Sunday breakfast. They handled my special request without batting an eye.(I asked for the veggie omelet with added cheese, bacon and spinach.) It was delicious!

Completely average breakfast… hash browns were good and buttery. Didn’t like the bisquits and gravey, they were thick and pasty with no flavor. Coffee was weak too. Everyone was friendly and food came out some what fast.

Basically a Denny’s style restaurant. Barely cooked hash browns, chix fried steak from the freezer, biscuit in edible. Fanny Fries were better than hash browns but still no real flavor. Won’t ever go back.

If I could, the rating would be 10 stars!!! When you walk in, it honestly looks like you came to grandma’s house for breakfast. Curtains, older style chairs and tables, and granny style decorations. Service is as friendly as if you just got into a country diner!!! Everyone is super nice and friendly and the food!!! I can’t say enough about the food. It was delicious and fresh!!! If I lived in the area this would be my go to spot for breakfast. A lot of older people and we were the only younger people there but the food and service more then made up for it. Check this place out, you won’t go amiss!!!

We happened on to Fanny’s when headed to a local car dealership and had taken a wrong turn. While just off 4th street, we had no idea this little gem was around. We were seated quickly and the wait staff was at the ready to bring coffee with fresh cream and throughout our breakfast, wait staff ensured our cups were kept full. I ordered the Polish omelet with the«fanny fries»(red homestyle spuds) and a biscuit, and it was hearty, though the biscuit was not one of my favorites. My husband had the ham and eggs and said the eggs were done to perfection. Our son throughly enjoyed a hearty 8 oz steak, and only made it through half the pile of hashbrowns and scrambled eggs that came with it. We really liked the cleanliness of the restaurant, the friendly attentive staff and the speed with which we received our meals. I would definitely recommend this sweet spot in Marysville.

My family and I came in today for lunch. I am letting you know during holidays you don’t have a choice to eat. Father’s Day today(15Jun2014). The menu is breakfast and the kids can eat something else. I like Fanny’s and their service. I assume since it’s a family owned business they can pretty much do as they please. The customer has no say so. Two weeks or so ago they were closed on a Monday and Tuesday. It’s a good day when they are open. It’s even better when customers can choose something other than from a breakfast menu on holidays.

Solid breakfast, nothing special but they are fast and have good coffee. They do use packaged hollandaise(frown) but they were quick to tell me when I asked and even said it was Knorr without prompting. The service was fast and friendly, almost to the point that it seemed like they wanted my friend and I to leave!
