I love this place. The food is excellent quality. The vegetables are grown in their gardens. It’s unique and quaint, more a ladies type place, though men do attend. I love the history… this restaurant being the grandmother’s house in the 1948 Golden Book addition of Little Red Riding Hood. That’s why this place is «in the woods».(That’s where the grandmother’s house was.) The author lived just a short walk away.

This secret spot is a true gem. It’s a perfect place for a luncheon with grandma or for a special friend’s birthday! Everything about it is so quaint. It’s so beautiful how they use decorative & edible flowers from their garden in the food. The dishes are absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this spot!

THEBEST! I had my bridesmaids lunch held there and they were EXTREMELY accommodating to our needs. I have a vegan friend and they were able to serve her delicious foods that were not on the menu for the month. Everyone had such a great time. I love this place.

This was a great experience. Brought my family and mother the day after Christmas. Every course was excellent. The French Onion Soup was perfectly seasoned. I chose the winter ravioli flavor was outstanding… kind of like pumpkin pie. Desert was very tasty and the portions were just right so you could eat it all. Our server Lori was excellent.

Only ate here once, and it was quite good, but love, love, love the shop and all the herbs and herbal blends they sell. Great place to buy consumables that make great gifts for anyone who enjoys cooking. Plus, its so much easier to find now that you can get there via GPS.

Had a great time with my one year old, Aunt and grandmother! We dined during the October 2015 menu. The unsweetened orange iced tea was refreshing the lavender lemonade was lovely. Jalapeño cracker dip was ok, smokey minestrone was good. The salad was a bit overdressed the bread was fluffy, I had the butternut squash lasagne and it was creamy and delicious! The dessert for me was a little over sweet. Altogether a beautiful place for pictures and dining.

Had a lovely time here with my family! Food was delicious and the restaurant was very cute. The bread was amazing, the vegetables were crisp/fresh, the chicken was tender and the cheesecake was the best i’ve ever had. Only complaint was a 30+ min delay in seating and a flavorless watered down decaf mocha coffee. Everything else was perfect and I will definitely go back. Oh! And the waitress was wonderful. My baby said«apple» while staring longingly at another table, and the waitress took it upon herself to bring her out a peeled and sliced apple just to be nice! Wow!

The people are friendly and informative. The farm land is gorgeous. The food is gourmet and some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Don’t hesitate to try this wonderful place to visit and dine. Excellent for the whole family.

By far, the best hidden gem out there! Beautiful gardens of herbs and flowers. The food is ah-making, to say the least! It’s a must try, for everyone! You have to make reservations, because, it is very tight in there. There is the cutest kids choice. I could say a lot more. Bring extra money, for the gift shop. It is amazing!!!

I have been here several times. This time it is down pouring rain. We went to check in and were told that there is a shower and we wouldn’t seat us on time. It would be 30 mins later and even that sounded sketchy. We drove 1hr 20 mins to get here. Now we are stuck in our car waiting. We are now drenched and they did not offer coffee or apologize. I get there is an event but they should have set up the next seating with delays in mind. Offer coffee or something. We will see if we get in at 4pm. Adding that they are making people walk through the pouring rain to use the restroom instead of walking through the dry restaurant! It is 4pm and now they say another 10 mins. NOAPOLOGY. AMAZING.

Amazing !!! I went here with my mother and grandmother during a girls get together day. It was fabulous. We had a great time walking around the gardens before lunch started and just had to go back to the gift shop after the meal to buy some of the dips that were served. I can’t wait to go back :):)

I love this spot. Great ride from the city to spend a couple hours in tranquillity. The herb gardens are beautiful and they sell their potted herb plants for a reasonable price. Last time I bought lavender, Rosemary, and chives. They’re growing awesome at home. Lunch there is always amazing. I recommend this hidden gem to everyone.

I’ve eaten here upwards of 10 times now, since it’s both a Mother’s Day tradition and a favorite day trip. I was trying to explain it to a friend recently, and found it difficult– it’s a very unique dining experience. First you drive uphill so far on unpaved roads, you start to worry you’ll be eaten by horror-movie hill folk.(Start your GPS at the beginning of the drive; once you’re near Mason you won’t have good enough reception to get it going.) Finally you arrive at this adorable cluster of old buildings surrounded by herb gardens. We make sure we’re there early enough to browse the gift shop, where they sell herbs, teas, dip mixes and assorted tchotchkes. Seating is at specific times, so a reservation is generally recommended– there can’t be more than 15 or 20 tables in there. They ring a bell to announce the seating(and draw everyone up from the gardens. I suppose), and the meal is rustic, simple and delicious. There’s just one menu– you choose only your entrée and your drink.(Bring your own alcohol; they have only an assortment of sweetened and unsweetened teas.) Every time we go, someone in our party looks at the monthly menu and declares that they don’t like something on it and wish they could choose a substitute.(Ew, I hate coconut desserts. Oh man, I don’t like broccoli soup. I wonder if I can get something other than polenta.) EVERY time, they try the thing and end up loving it. It’s very simple, unpretentious food, but delicate and thoughtfully prepared. I think the $ 22/person price is a bargain.

Pickity Place is a bit out of the way(about an hours ride from where I am), but well worth the journey. It’s offers a monthly, 5 course, prixe fixed menu, and is surrounded by beautiful gardens and two great shops. Whether you’re looking for spices and herbs, teas, gift items, or plants and garden accessories to bring back to your own home, it’s a wonderful place to visit! The food is always, ALWAYS delicious. The only problem I have ever had is wishing I could get BOTH entrée items(which is why going with a friend, each getting one and then sharing is a fantastic option!)! I haven’t gone recently because I’ve realized I have a gluten sensitivity(which I think, HOPE can be reversed), and passing on the homemade bread would be torture, but I hope to one day, as soon as I can, go back enjoy this wonderful little restaurant again! The restaurant is actually housed in the little red cottage that inspired Elizabeth Orton Jones’ illustrations for«Little Red Riding Hood.» It really does feel like stepping out of the modern world and into a book about a simpler time. Delicious and delightful. Check it out! And definitely make reservations or you may miss out! Sittings fill up quickly!

Imagine being transported to a blissful place away from chaos and noise to a place of peace and tranquility. That is the just definition of Pickity Place. My mom was told about this place from someone she knows and was going to save it for my birthday bit I am glad she didn’t. We made reservations for the 12:45 sitting for lunch and arrived a but earlier do we walked the grounds, took pictures and visited the gift shop. The sell all their herbs they grow spice mixes, loose leaf teas as well as other cool and nifty things. The bell rang and we were seated instantly and sat down to a table with a pitcher if lemon and mint water which is our fave. The soup was then served immediately followed by ever course in order. Everything was fresh and beautiful. The plates were beautifully set up and service pristine. I tried the lavender Lemonade. Yum then had the spice tea to have with desert. Yum! The thing that blew me out of the water was the desert… Key lime piece it rum soaked plantain. So delightful We were pleased and full at the end of it. I am already planning three more trips! Thank you Pickity Place for somewhere to go when you need complete relaxation.

I was here for a bachelorette party and oh my, this is probably one of the best places I have ever eaten. Everything is so fresh and flavorful, the portion sizes are perfect, and the dining room and property are adorable! For $ 21 per person, you get a delicious five-course meal. The menu changes every month and offers one meat dish and one vegetarian option, but for the most part, everyone in the dining room is eating the same meal. Fussy eaters need not apply! Aside from the restaurant, they have some nice gardens to walk through, a greenhouse, and a gift shop that sells herbs and other knick-knacks. There’s also two really cute, friendly cats roaming the property. I would love to come back again, and everyone in our party was very pleased. The only complaint was from my friend who accidentally ate the entire mint leaf off her key lime pie in one bite and was overwhelmed, but really, whose fault is that? :)

I loved this place! It is in the middle of a residential area way out in the middle of nowhere in Greenville, NH. This place is adorable. There is a small book store(where you check in for lunch), a cute little gift store where they have all kinds of dried herbs, coffee’s and kitschy little knick knacks. We bought a bunch of herbs and some, lemonade, and tea and a coffee Mix. The lunch. They have a five course luncheon with seatings at 11:30, 12:45 and 2:00pm. The food is amazing and the menu changes monthly. I highly recommend this place if you are in northern Mass or southern New Hampshire.
