I’m not really sure what makes this place fox and hound. I like this bar. It’s real«pinky out ish». We had fun, we drank Manhattans and sat by the fire place. The weirdest thing about this place was that curling was on the biggest tv. Not the basketball game or even the mma on spike. Just some very random curling. The bartenders were really nice too. This place was missing something tho. Music or even the sound of sports. I don’t know.

Had dinner there Friday night. Food was good. Service was quick. Good bartender. I would visit this place again. Nice place to start off the evening.

A «good but not great» chain sports restaurant. Decent place to grab a drink after work or lunch/dinner when ur already out and about, but probably not a dining destination for me. Whisky Wedsnesdays are god tho.

This is our favorite restaurant in the area, and there are plenty to choose from! The bartenders are knowledgeable and want to get to know you so they can serve you drinks the way you want them(little ice for the bourbon). The food is better than I can make at home(I’ve never been able to cook salmon) and prices are reasonable. Have to say that this location is the best of the Rusty Buckets we’ve been to, including better than Liberty Center.

Overall not bad however, service and quality are both a little lacking making the prices seem too high for what you get.

This was my first time coming here and was expecting something good considering it had a 4 star average. Boy was I disappointed. It was around 3pm on a Sunday and we were one of the only tables in the restaurant. The service wasn’t very good for the restaurant being basically empty. He was slacking on the drink refills and he was a little rude. I asked for my burger with no pickle or relish(because it comes with both pickles and pickle relish… EW!) and there was pickles on my bun. I asked for just a new top bun because pickle juice was soaked into the bun and he told me I didn’t say no pickles and acted like I was just asking for a new top bun for the heck of it. That sort of rubbed me the wrong way. The food was just ok. My family got the spinach and queso dip and enjoyed it. My boyfriend asked for his patty melt medium and it was the most well done patty melt I’ve ever seen. After my pickle debacle, the burger was good, but not great. Just a regular burger. To top it all off, all of our fries were ice cold. We didn’t even want to complain because of how he corrected me when I did. What happened to the customer is always right? This was definitely 2 stars. There are TONS of other good restaurants in the Mason Montgomery area. I would not put Rusty Bucket at the top of the list. I probably will never go back. On the bright side, it was pretty cheap.

Glad I went back for a second try! Had been to other locations and here when it first opened and was less than impressed. We came here to try one more time since they offered late dinner on a week night. We both got their Wednesday special of stroganoff and loved it! Nice portion and good flavor! I was also impressed by their craft beer selection. Good service and nice atmosphere. Will be back!

Probably the worst Sports bar I’ve been to in a long time. Food = C– Service = B Cleanliness = C Ambiance = C– Cost of drinks = C Cost of food = B This place is way over staffed which gets you decent service but it also hurts it because all the workers spend most of the time talking to each other in groups which is a big sign of poor management. Food was average in taste but a relatively decent price. Drinks are expensive with a very poor beer and wine selection. The restaurant can do a better job with its cleanliness. It wasn’t dirty but it wasn’t what I would call clean. Maybe management can put some of those unused servers to use… Just a thought. Will I go again? Probably not but if I’m in the area I might. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get there.

If anything is rusty, it’s the premise of this restaurant. It’s just kind of blah. The hamburger was like ground chuck, ordinary fries, and the tired old scene of «we’re a sports kind of restaurant»! When I got home, I farted into a bucket.

I met my family here after church and had a great experience. The server we had was absolutely wonderful. Friendly, fast, and kept my drink(diet Pepsi addition) filled. The food was very hot and fresh. My dad got their potstickers for an appetizer and they were some of the best I’ve had. I ordered one of their burgers and it was cooked perfectly and the onions rings although I could’ve had a few more than they gave me they were wonderful. The restaurant was very clean and you can tell the managers take pride in their work. I would def recommend this location of Rusty Bucket to anyone wanting fresh and very tasty food.

My parents highly recommended this so we came up and tried them again. The service was incredibly slow and they weren’t even that busy. The food took about 30 minutes to arrive and it took another like 15 minutes just to get someone to take our check. The food wasn’t the great. The chicken piccata portion was small and the pesto chicken was very oily. Not impressed.

I have been here several times before. Everything has been decent until today(7⁄29). I come at lunch since I work for a large company near by. The service was good. We sat near the bar in a booth and the bartender took care of us. She got some things wrong, drink and side to my meal, but was very responsive. I ordered a burger, medium, nothing crazy. I started eating when I realized the middle of the burger was raw, not rare, but raw. This would have made me sick. I sent it back. Manager came over and apologized. Server got me a side salad on the house while I waited. New burger came out. It was the exact same as what I sent back. HORRIBLE. I will let one slide but to serve raw meat 2 times to the same guest this is inexcusable. Manager bought my tea and offered me something else. 1 hour and 20 mins into a 1 hour lunch. I couldn’t stay for things to be wrong a third time. I will not be back. This is just embarrassing.

Went for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Great service, knowledgeable servers, great food and beer list. The fried pickles are amazing and you get a lot of them. The double bacon beef burger was incredible! We will definitely be back!

Good local place for South Mason. Food is good, drink specials are really good. Big bar to mingle. Kitchen can get a little slow at times, but overall this is our place to kick it on a regular basis.

First timer and had a great experience with my family. We have three kids and it’s a great family atmosphere(6p) and food was delicious! If you have dietary concerns like I do, gluten free choices are available and are GOOD! Our server was awesome and so was the Manager who stopped by when one of our menu choices was not available. Will definitely be back!

Always have very good service here. I’ve eaten lunch, dinner and had happy hour here probably a couple dozen times. They have a good atmosphere/aesthetics and a great craft brew selection. The food is always decent and even when there have been mistakes(onions when I asked for no onions or my burger over cooked when I asked for medium) they have always taken care of it the right way. This place is solid.

Friday night dinner here and it was great! I had the fish and chips and he had the meatloaf! Everything was delicious and came out hot. Our server Maggie was very attentive and friendly. She knew the menu inside and out as well! We had the sticky bun for dessert and let me tell you when I say YUM I mean it! Atmosphere is top notch here from the hostess at the door to the comfy booths and fireplace great spot for a yummy dinner! Highly recommended!

If you’re looking for a different take on American chain restaurants, this place gives out a little different vibe. Similar to places like Claim Jumper, TGIFridays, Ruby Tuesdays, Buffalo Wild Wings, etc., this has a very inclusive menu of American pub food while trying to provide a bit of a down-south, redneck-type feel and energy. The food was good and they have daily specials like Whiskey Wednesdays($ 6 for any whiskey they sell). I think of this as a staple establishment that you can count on being consistent and a default if you can’t decide on what to eat.
