If I could give less than one star, then I would. This was the most unprofessional experience I have had in some time. I ordered a basketball hoop and this place told me they could have it done in 7 – 10 days, and they of course took a 50% downpayment. The staff was initially very polite. I went with them because they said they can get it done just a short time and everybody else in the city was about 4 weeks out. They told me that the city would need to come out in mark the ground and then 2 days later they would be out to dig the hole. They never did this and nobody ever got in contact with me. I had to keep calling and both parites were getting annoyed by my calling. I was polite each time. The ladies who answered the phone (Yvonne and Stephanie, I think. There were others) became increasingly rude. I eventually told them that I wanted a refund. The contractor eventually called me and promised that he would be out 2 days from when we spoke. That time came and went and he never showed up. I called back and he did not answer his phone. I then called back to the facility and they called him and have him call me back. He started to tell me that he had a flat tire. At this point, I was not accepting anymore excuses. I wanted to process a refund but they said that the owner needed to do this. He eventually called me back and proceeded to tell me that I could not get this job done from anyone in the city because they all use the same contractor and that everybody is 4 – 5 weeks out. I let him know that I did not care how long it took as long as I did not have to do business here. After thinking about this, I believe everyone in the city at this busy time of year is 4 – 5 weeks out. If this owner would’ve just told me that from the beginning, I could’ve accepted this, but I think what he is doing is a front loading his business with people’s money so he can pay bills, knowing full well that they will not get out there in the promised amount of time. I think honesty would’ve been the best policy. I eventually went with Recreations Outlet and they were very professional and honest. They also don’t use Don, the contractor with the «flat tire». We have taken our kids to Run, Jump, and Play/​Swings n Things numerous times in the past. We have had parties here and I was looking to continue business with them, but this has changed my opinion. I will never set foot back in this place and I encourage the public to avoid it. I have heard from others that this owner has bad business practice. The public can speak with their dollars. There are plenty of other places in town that offe the same service and have better business étiquette.

We ordered a swing set September 2014 from Swings N Things and everything went well in terms of ordering it and having it installed but we were told the binocular accessory was on back order at the time. No big deal at first until we had to call every 3 – 4 weeks to remind them we hadn’t received them time and time again. The response we got each time we called was, «They are sitting here on the shelf and we will send them to you.» It NEVER happened!
Here we are almost 7 months later waiting and getting empty promises. Not sure if I’ll receive my credit I asked for. The owner has a very difficult time returning your call. I wish I would’ve just ordered a swing set from Sam’s Club.
