J & D Haircutter

I am giving this establishment one star because unfortunately you cannot give 0 stars! This place is the absolute worst! I went in the other day for some balayage highlights and a trim and left with hair that looked like it came from the 80s! The streaks were very obvious, not gradated like balayage are supposed to be. Some started right at the root while others were 2 inches away from the root. There were orange spots and the bleach bled through to the rest of my hair giving me a multitude of different tones (not in a good way.) The top was highlight heavy while the ends had no highlights (the exact opposite of what balayage is supposed to look like!) I even showed the stylist a photo! The aftermath was not apparent at the salon (perhaps due to the way ot was styled.) When I got home OMG. I saw it all and freaked the f*&k out! The haircut was even bad, uneven and choppy. I did not want to return there so I had to shell out another $ 200 bucks and go to a different salon and get it fixed. They informed me that due to the extent of damage done and being that my hair was literally breaking and falling off, that they could not achieve the look I originally wanted. So now I have dark one toned hair that had to be cut a significant amount in order to make it look somewhat decent. I am beyond pissed off and the quality of work at J & D is not even sub-​par is below sub-​par!!! I asked for my money back and the owner Robert refused. He kept asking me to come in so they can see it and fix it. I explained about 50 billion times that there was nothing to see being that I had it fixed and regardless I would never have anyone from that establishment touch my hair ever again. They are shady as they are a cash only business. I am almost positive they do this so they can cook their books. Also, I am pretty sure no one is licensed at this dump. I have already contacted Help me Howard to see if can bring some resolve to this conundrum of s*%t!
FYI they prices are astronomically expensive!

The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodate my needs promptly when I call to make an appointment.

This salon is truly a hidden treasure. Robert is a real professional and the staff are all fun and friendly. My experience is always pleasant and my two year old son loves to get his haircut here. J&d has been in business long enough to know their customers and expectations and offer services at reasonable prices.
