Established in 1996.

Jen built her first successful restaurant located in Farmingdale, NY in 1996. Since then we have created six additional locations, including the Massapequa flagship restaurant which opened in 1998.

We thought this place was awesome! We are from Bethpage and have been trying new places every time we order Chinese because our usual spot changed owners and now sucks. We have been sorely disappointed repeatedly over the last couple of months and tonight, we were finally pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious! The portions were quite generous! The place was busy, tons of workers, tons of food being packed up, phones ringing off the hook, multiple people taking orders. Great sign. Nice, large place for a takeout Chinese joint, lots of seating. They threw in a free order of fried wontons with our order. We had sesame chicken ($ 1 extra for white meat only), chicken and broccoli, sweet & sour chicken, egg rolls, fried dumplings, fried wontons pork fried rice & white rice. The order was $ 53, we picked up. The sesame chicken was amazingly crispy even with the yummy sauce all over it. The chicken and broccoli was nice, thin slices of white meat chicken and crisp broccoli with a delicious sauce. The sweet and sour chicken was nice, large chunks of white meat crispy chicken. The egg rolls were crisp and not greasy at all. The fried dumplings were huge and stuffed perfectly. The fried rice was a bright orangey color (like a Spanish rice) which scared me at first but it was absolutely delicious! We are so happy to have finally found a good Chinese food spot again!

The go to place for quality Chinese Food in Massapequa. It is a take out restaurant, but the food is better than most if not all of the local sit down restaurants. I really like the House Special Soup, and the Shrimp with Cashew Nuts. The Pork Home Style is a must!

You can always tell the go-​to spots for Chinese food when there’s a lot of people cooking and a lot of customers in and out. That means quick turnover and a great chance the food is fresh.
Jen’s is one of those places. Solid fresh food and good generous portions for the money. They always adjust my order to how I like it, too, and their homemade duck sauce is a nice touch that not many places have.
My one major complaint… the egg rolls. They never taste fresh, as if they’re fried earlier and then heated up to order. Too chewy and just not good. I’ve eaten here many, many times and I can count on one hand the number of times the egg rolls have been on point. If they can fix the egg roll situation, they’re the best around.

Very good food. Very friendly service. We tried a variety of items across the menu (8+) and all were tasty and served nice and hot.
Both the person who took the order and Jen herself came by to ensure everything was OK. Which it was.
We ordered the General Tso’s with sliced chicken rather than breaded and they took the special order happily and the dish came out as ordered.
The crunchy noodles they often have out (free) are excellent.

DONT WASTE UR MONEY OR TIME. Ordered take out a few times. Long wait. Oily… greasy… bland. Very rude when I politely and quietly told them the scallion pancakes were so greasy and soggy that they were inedible. They did nothing to make the order right. Will NOT go back. JJ BEST CHINESE up the block is far superior in all aspects. Go there instead.

When you order delivery from Jen’s it never ever comes on time. They say 20 minutes and it takes an hour. Tonight is the last time I will ever order from this place. They told my wife 40 minutes and it took over an hour and a half. The food arrived ice cold and the guy on the phone who I spoke to only wanted to argue with me. What a poorly run business. I have been ordering from this place since they opened. Good customer service is the key to staying in business. I have asked for a call from the owner multiple times and have not once gotten a call back. Stay away from this place!!! There are plenty of other places in the area that will actually appreciate your business and do the right thing. On top of that the guy who I spoke to didn’t seem to care when I told him I was calling American Express to dispute the charge and was going to leave a bad review on Unilocal.Good business practice!

With a place named «Jen’s», you know you’re in for some authentic Chinese… (lol…)
Meh. That’s really it. This is definitely not 5 stars. Yet again, people on the island haven’t got a clue what good food is apparantly, so apply the –3 stars conversion here for actual rating.
We ordered General Tso’s, fried rice, soup and boneless spare ribs. All pretty basic stuff. Yet somehow the quality let us down. The chicken was hard as a rock! Same with the boneless spare ribs which were overly sweetened to the point of losing palatability.
I will say the broccoli was good. But that should give you a clue of how hard I’m trying to be positive.
Bottom line, this is a quick lunch stop at best. Definitely not something I’d confuse for «dinner».
Two stars. Just being honest. The 5-​starrers are nuts.

This is a wonderful place to get Chinese food from. Best quality I have ever had and leanest place I have ever been. Jen’s is probably the best Chinese food around! The service is awesome, the food fantastic, and always fresh! If u want the average greasy Chinese food, don’t go to Jen’s. But if u want yummy, tasty, and fresh Chinese food, this is the place!
Still amazing! Had the best food on snow day! Left overs are still amazing… I almost look forward to the left overs cause it’s still better than the food that’s made to order from other places. :)

Another place where the owners are non chalant about the quality of their food due to the zombies of Long Island who continue to frequent here even has quality declines.
5 years ago this place was good. Food was solid.
Now, its kinda like Chinese food slop. Yeah it tastes okay, but its made in haste with no special attention paid to any dish. Jani blows this place out of the water.

Just moved to the area. My husband is obsessed with divey Chinese take out. We got delivery but it was too his liking. I was trying to be healthy and got steamed chicken and vegetables. Can’t mess that up. He got sesame chicken and really enjoyed it.
The real test of these places is the egg roll. I find egg rolls are either too dry or too greasy. These ones were very good! Not dry or dripping in oil.
So far impressed by Jen’s.

Got pickup with a friend the other night. She got a combo plate with fried rice and I ordered shrimp and eggplant in garlic sauce.
The portions were fairly large, the prices were standard for Chinese food and the taste was good overall.
If you need take out I would recommend it, and the overhaul of the restaurant looks pretty nice too. They really spruced the place up!

Attention all restaurants complaining of slow times. Go to Jens. This is really an example of … build it they will come…
Jen is a savy lady who really knows how to come into a location, and make it the busiest place in town. She can take a sleepy old place and make it THE take out place to go. She comes in to a larger than average takeout place, redoes the whole place, hires extra help before there is a need to. and soon she is the busiest place.
Food is above average takeout. Soup maybe here and there. Shrimp and lobster sauce is not as traditional with a slight change that is not for me. But their Mango shrimp or mango shrimp/​chicken combo should be world famous :). Yum! Love all the extra large fresh mango slices and odd sauce. Sort of sweet perhaps a dab of unseen ketchup? who knows. its got its secrets. Yeah its a smidge gelled but they all are. Yum Yum and I mean Yum! seriously this is her thing.
Back to Jen the incredible… Please go see this place on a Friday night. yeah there is a mad wait then. but they are so popular. Plenty of help but alas there is only so much room in one kitchen. Also, I saw a few people working the phones and taking orders, not of chinese descent. Jen’s just cool and doesn’t discriminate! lol.
She opened, became number one in a few towns and maintained that, and if anything is busier now. It hasn’t worn off. They are just well liked.
