The vegetarian roti here, with all of the fixings, is one of my favorite meals in the whole world! The staff is super friendly and you get huge portions for very little money. Make sure to try a banana soda, too!

Away from home looking a bit of it. Found it at Ali Roti. The food was plentiful and good. I recommend it to all who are searching for a bit of home.

Please don’t get fooled by the 4 stars. The food is very bland. It is also kinda stale. The only thing positive is the quantity. But what’s the point when it is so tasteless. Ambience is very very bad. It’s more like a take out place. But I strongly suggest not to try this place simple because the food tastes very bland and stale.

Food here is good & tasty. But the customer service here sucks. The ladies in the back of the glass are never friendly and kind of rude… everytime I go. But who cares… as long as the food is good.

Absolutely love the food at this place! My family & I drive all the way here(and usually nibble it on the way home) because it has us mesmerized! The chicken roti’s with everything are perfect– so hooked that we haven’t even tried too much else!

A true diamond in the ruff. Looks like a hole in the wall. The food is excellent. The line is always out the door. Very simple menu and either $ 9 or $ 10 plate or roti. Best curry around hands down.

The food is very, very good. The seasonings and flavors are delicious, and theres something really nice about the roti that I can’t describe. The only problem is that they sometimes run out of things, usually the goat, which is my favorite. Also one of the servers consistently seems angry, but they don’t lose points for that, it doesn’t affect the quality of the food, it just makes things uncomfortable for the few minutes you have to talk the them. Also keep in mind that this isn’t a nice sit down restaurant, its a bit of a hole in the wall. They don’t lose points for that either, because that’s not all that important to me(I have eaten here on dates, for the record). 4 stars for delicious food that sometimes runs out.

Came here on a Saturday at 3pm. There was a long line that wrapped around, maybe 8 people in front of me. It took 20 – 25 minutes for me to order and pay. Most of the lag seemed due to their payment system. Multiple people were making your order, but only one person was processing payments so it was congested at the register. This was my first time here so I thought the vibe was just slow, no worries, casual, but the regulars in the line around me said they’re normally slow, but not this slow! Everyone was really friendly though, even people in line with me. The girl making my food spoke really quietly and maybe really quickly? Literally no one in line could understand her. Someone in line told me she was new Think trinidad-inspired chipotle, where they have everything in front of you and you can pick and choose what you want. Even though things are in front of you, this doesn’t mean you know what they are! Eg, they have a lot of different types of rice and I had no idea what the difference was Ordered large goat roti(per enthusiastic Unilocal suggestion). Def 2 meals for anyone, maybe 3. I was asked what I wanted inside it and I said everything bc I didn’t know what the options were. It came with stewed potatoes, chickpeas and cabbage. The roti skin was made really well — think the spongey base of ethiopian food, but more yummy seasoning to it. The goat was good, but it comes with all the bones and was not the best to eat. It looked like they gave me a lot of goat which I was happy about, but most of it was bones /fat. I’d come back to try something else — like the fish roti looked SUPER good

The best roti in Boston. Hands down. No argument. Went here with co-workers after volunteer event and everyone loved it. Super filling, so a small is more than enough for one person. If you’re new to roti, try the chicken roti, and get a traditional Caribbean soda while your at it!

I don’t even know what to say about this place because I’m too busy stuffing my mouth with good food! This is true comfort food and after eating just a little will get you sleepy. Portions are huge and it takes me at least 2 days to finish the thing. Everybody has to try an Ali’s roti in their lifetime. It is that good.

At last! After being spoiled by abundant roti shops in NYC, I didn’t think I would find something that would come close. A friend told me about Ali’s Roti Shop, so I had to check it out for myself. I wasn’t prepared to be impressed. Ali’s had something else in mind. WOW. It was possibly the best roti I’ve ever had, the vegetable roti. It was full of potatoes, cabbage and carrots, garbanzo beans. The cabbage was the perfect texture. Everything went together perfectly. The hot sauce was the perfect accent. The roti’s texture was durable and soft. My food didn’t fall all over the place. A delicious roti, and I can’t wait to go back!
