Plaza Appliance Mart

On my first visits to this appliance store, there were myriad items available for selection including new and scratch & dent. The front room was full as was the back room. There was so much to choose from at various price ranges. On my most recent visit, there was just the front room. However, there was still a good variety of price ranges and items available for purchase. I plan to return to Plaza to purchase a replacement washing machine. The one I have works but I don’t like it. They even have the old manual kind which sometimes makes sense when you need to stop something mid-​cycle and resume elsewhere. The electronic models available are varied and are sure to suit any customer. I am grateful for a place to purchase appliances at a discount.

My husband and I compared prices with Lowes and Home Depot, and then bought all our new stainless steel kitchen appliances here. (Oven, fridge, dishwasher.) We were very pleased… UNTIL Plaza’s appliance installer destroyed our kitchen countertops! He cut out a long three-​inch strip of the countertop when he hooked up the new double oven, and then just left without saying a word about his mistake. When we called the woman who had sold us all the appliances, she assured us «Bobby» would return and make it right. That was nearly four months ago. Even though Plaza’s corporate offices assured us «Bobby» was being required to come back and do the repairs, all we have received are excuses and falsehoods. The store manager seems to have the attitude that once the sale is over, it’s not their problem. We would NEVER buy from this store again!

I was recently shopping around for a new gas range and in addition to all the big box retailers, decided to try out a few local dealers. I was very impressed with the guys at Plaza Appliance Mart, and they will match the price of any other store in town. All the salesmen knew their inventory inside and out, were able to answer any questions I have, and even recommended another store for a part I needed for another appliance. In the end, they gave me a great price and were even able to deliver the new stove the same day.
So, if you’re looking for any new appliance, give this place a shot. The location I went to is in an unassuming storefront on Independence, but they have stores all around town. They have a very large selection and really know their business. Plus, in my opinion, it’s always good to help out small local businesses.
