I didn’t tour the cavern but my husband did and said it was GREAT. We arrived at 3pm on a Sunday, in time for the last tour at 4pm. The grounds were nicely kept with lots of seating on the porch. There are a dozen or so little out buildings surrounding the main building and in the summer and at other times of the year they are occupied by vendors. The entire feel is very 1700’s quaint and not commercial. The gift shop had the usual assortment of stuff you could live without but never do. The guides were really nice young men, one of whom was a student of the bat. Steve said the tour was a bit tough so I’m glad I skipped it. Both of us were impressed with with Squire Boone.
