Legends Comix and Games is the local hangout for geeks and comic aficionado’s for Maynard MA and the Metro-​west area. Since 2003 we have been the superstore for all things comic-​related or just plain nerdy. We’ve got an array of comics, a pretty sweet subscription service that scores you 10% off your books (plus, no more hassle looking everywhere for an upcoming issue, WE practically shop for you) toys, board games, apparel, collectible card games (Pokemon, Yu-​Gi-​Oh, L5R and Magic the Gathering) and events for just about anything! Can’t find something in store? We have a huge ever changing inventory which is perfect for finding just the thing. Join us for tournaments or special events, or just come in and visit!

History

Established in 2003.

Begun as a partnership between two brothers, Jason and Matt (known as Motor and Geno) opened the business together in Oct of 2003 in the Maynard Mall.

The shop moved twice due to the mall being sold to CVS and disagreements between the manager and the landlord at the second location. In 2008 the business became a sole-​proprietorship when Geno left to join the army and be a medic later going to medical school.

Motor ran the company 7 days a week 365 days a year during this time until he left to go back to teaching in July of 2011. Returning in May of 2014.

At 42, Jason (known around the shop as Motor) is a graphic designer and art teacher. With multiple degrees from various colleges and business experience that ranges from entrepreneur, marketing manager, art teacher, martial arts instructor, cartoonist, paralegal, the list goes on.
