There is no sense of urgency. We had to yell over the counter after 15 minutes of waiting to get any service. The store is filthy and the service horrible. Save yourself the trouble and go to Chili’s or any of the other places to eat on this street. I mean really this place is just going to make you mad, and just for half melted ice cream.

Nasty. Touched the inside and outside of my cone. She didn’t even care to wash her hands after touching the counter and machines and dealing with other customers. She forgot my flavor after I nicely repeated four times. The other co workers stood around starring and giggling. Won’t be returning.

Nasty my Sisters ice cream had another flavor mix in with it it didn’t taste like what it was to be. Mine was also like this. Rude teenagers working at this location stinks when you enter too like old toilet water …

Normal Braum’s selection. Easy in and out either to the frontage road or out the back through other parking lots. Pretty empty of customers and employees.

Can’t figure out why so many Unilocalers are hatin’ on Braums. I usually get a single scoop or a mix and always a limeade. The scoops are huge, it’s half the price of the other ice cream shops in McKinney, and the ice cream is awesome. I would know — I come here several times a week … Leading me to work out more … but well worth it. I drive here from stonebridge. It’s farther than other ice cream shops but well worth it. Also adding — this one doesn’t smell funky like the Plano location. It’s clean.

Good ice cream, don’t get me wrong. Childish behavior, inconsistent orders, and flakiness tho is nothing new in these reviews. We usually pick up ice cream cartons from the store and take it home. Tonight we went in and got 6 special sundaes to go and it was like a circus. It was a short line in front of us, but by the time we were finished it was to the door. And I think I got rude looks from the people behind us… not our fault. The girls were flicking water at each other off their scoops, uniting each other’s aprons, talking to other employees. We get home and 2 sundaes are half of what a sundae is… sad…2 tiny scoops. 2 sundaes were so overcrowded they exploded once the lid was off and other 2 were just about right. No napkins, no spoons, lucky they had a sack that wasn’t the plastic one they tried giving us. With this service I wouldn’t want to eat there knowing they probably don’t take cleaning seriously. I won’t be getting anything made there again, either. I felt very uncomfortable seeing a long line of people waiting behind us. I will stick with buying cartons and probably support another local chain location. These problems should be addressed already.

Two star only because the drive though service. When you ask for a minute to decide if there was anything else you wanted and they respond okay what else 4 times its freaking rude. There’s no one behind me either and it’s slow inside. Food is fine as fast food gets.

This was my first visit to this location. I dropped by for a quick lunch with a craving for their chicken strip meal and double dip sundae. My strip meal came with no sauce or gravy, which made for a very dry meal and my sundae order wasn’t correct. The service was friendly, which is why I’m giving this review three stars.

The ice cream may be great, but I was turned off. I went in recently to try the Birthday Cake sundae when the person waiting on me let out a sneeze all over hands and forearms. Then there was this awkward Seinfeld moment. Surely, she was going to apologize, wash her hands, or at least let the assistant she was training handle my ice cream order, right? Wrong. She barely missed a beat and started scooping no doubt infecting Birthday Cake and all the other ice cream flavors under the hood/counter. I turned around and walked out while she was looking for the almond toppings. Maybe, I’m naïve, and these are the perils of Braum’s and fast food in general. But jeepers! No customer wants to SEE a fast food preparer sneeze all over themselves as they prepare your food live and in living color. I’ll be steering clear of this one. Drive thru patrons beware.

Real ice cream shakes. My favorites are chocolate chip and peppermint!

I try not to eat in a Braum’s store. It always creeps me out that there is a bug zapper inside of each one.

Ok! So having grown up in Dallas I am no stranger to Braums dairy. For the past decade I have really only visited for one thing… frozen yogurt twist(chocolate/vanilla) in a waffle cone. And that’s exactly what I got this time. It seems to never fail at quenching my hankering for a sweet, low-cal dessert. I’m not much of a sweets eater but Braums definitely maintains its place at the top of ice cream shops. The reason for the 4-star is that when I’ve been inside(which is rare) they seem to have some issues with cleanliness. And this is speaking to all Braums’ locations in general. It’s very hit or miss. But who am I kidding? I’m a true American who adores the convenience of drive-thru. So I guess I’ll stick with that ;-)

June 7, 2012 Assistant manager, Judy, made a serious error in judgement tonight. Customer service is a MUST. A family of six had eaten there and were finishing off with cones. Their one year old baby was having her first ice cream, as it was her birthday. The baby did not like the flavor they got for her, but she enjoyed her Daddy’s. The mother ask, Judy, if she would please give them another single scoop. Long story short NO replacement, and several customers were alienated. If a general manager had been present there would have been a different outcome.

Braum’s is like that home town diner that somehow was able to pull off a chain store. Their ice cream bar always reminds me of an old school ice cream shop because the employees are always dosing out gigantic scoops of ice cream that I’m sure are above normal standards. I also love their tiny grocery section, especially their dairy products. Their butter, milk, cream and ice cream all come from their own dairy farms and it really does taste better than most! The staff is also pretty friendly, and although it’s not the most upscale(or even shiny and new) it’s a good place, with good home-style food.
