I wanted to get a loan. Essentially give them business. I am guessing that they want my business because I just am an awesome borrower. First contacted Bart, and he said he would call. He did not. Instead he proceeded to send a generic email urging me to fill out a form. Since I have some patience, I started to fill it out. But wait. What’s up with Equal Opportunity lending?! As soon as I said that I was a permanent resident, the program told me that I had to proceed by contacting an agent at the lending company. So I contact Bart, and forward the message that stated that because I am a permanent resident, I have to continue with an agent in person. I guess he completely ignored that, since he just asked again that I complete the form. In essence, he did not even bother reading the email, and suggested that I call a number if I have any concerns. Because I believe in fourth (yes fourth) chances, I called the number and left a message… nothing back. IN SUM. I am choosing to write this post so that others don’t have to waste time in the same way I did. I just completed a form for another company, and it was much faster, and did not stop the process because I have a green card. Cheer’s y’all.

A VERY VERY SHADY LOCATION!
I would avoid BB&T at all costs due to the shadiness of this location and their new practices with basic savings/​checking accounts. I signed up for my account in 2008 and they decided to enroll me in a free «plus» service.
Not to my knowledge, this service became $ 2.95 and is now $ 4.95 and offers very minimal benefits. I approached Nadia at the Tyson’s location to see if I could be taken off of the service. She said I would be and that if I opened a credit card and savings account, they could take away the past year of charges. I decided not to do this, so SHE RE-​ENROLLED ME in the service a week later. What a scam! Please beware of these shady practices, this is not a place that I would bank at.

The bank manager here is the best. Leela is always available when I need her. There’s a real sense of personal service. The lines at the teller are always short. My one small gripe is the length of time that they sometimes hold your deposits, but I’m not a banking insider, so I don’t know if this a their policy, or just the way the banking system works.
If you want a banker you can actually talk to, email from time to time when you have issues, and you want to work with reasonable people who don’t throw the standard «employee handbook» answer at you, then come to the location of BB&T.
