Landscape Designs Nursery

Though it’s off the beaten path, the Landscape Designs Nursery in McFarland is one of my favorite places to purchase trees and shrubs. The nursery is tucked into a forest, protecting the plants from hot sun in the summer and the icy winds in the winter, so the tree and shrubs I purchase are always in premo condition. The selection of plants is excellent as well (see the website for in-​stock inventory) and if they don’t have a tree or shrub that I am looking for, they will order it for me. Kristine, the nursery manager, is über-​helpful and always is able to answer my questions about how to care for a particular cultivar.
One word of caution, if the weather is bad, call ahead to make sure the nursery is open. They often close in inclement conditions.
