Miracle Method is not likely to be the least expensive refinisher around, but we pride ourselves on being the «preferred refinisher». Often times «You get what you pay for» holds true in this industry. We are the only refinisher in the area that uses a proprietary chemical bonding process to achieve superior adhesion of the new coating to the original surface. We don’t experience the terrible peeling problems that other refinishers do. All other refinishers will simply ‘rough-​up’ the tub surface using a strong corrosive & toxic acid or they try to create a bond by scratching the surface with sandpaper. They experience frequent peeling problems because water is able to work its way between their coating & the old surface. Nothing really holds their coating there… just a mechanical bond. Water will begin to lift their coating & start the chipping /​peeling process. Once this starts, it typically just gets worse & worse. In contrast, with our chemical bonding system, water cannot work its way under our coating because our new surface is molecularly bonded to your original surface. Even if our coating was accidentally damaged, water cannot work its way underneath to make the damaged area worse (and I do leave touch-​up bottles with my customers in case of minor accidental damage).
