Dental Fitness

We utilize a process in the New Patient Exam and at periodic hygiene exams called Dental Fitness. It starts with identifying your long-​term goals for your oral health. Once we know what you would like to accomplish we can tailor your treatment, coaching strategies, as well as identify what your role and ours is in helping you reach your goals. The Dental Fitness exam is a method of checking to see what type of progress you are making toward your goals.

We have always felt we are of better service to our patients if we can provide the information to help you make the best possible decisions for your long-​term health. Along with that, the decisions you make have to be consistent with the level of quality and cost that you value. Not what I value.

Being health focused means that we provide you with the information and coaching to help you along the way toward whatever goal you have for your oral health. Once you and I have identified that goal, we can focus our efforts toward reaching that level of health that you have chosen for yourself.

The Dental Fitness exams provide a visual aid to show you what your current level of health is. It serves, as a guide to recommend changes to your home care as well as how we can tailor your individual treatment needs based on the exam findings.

James Hasken A.

Business Owner

Dr James A Hasken is a graduate of Augustana College with a B.A. in Biology. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1985. Dr. Hasken then completed a post-​graduate General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. As a Resident Dentist at Mt. Sinai, Dr. Hasken gained valuable post-​graduate training in oral surgery, prosthodontics (dentures), periodontics, crown and bridge, and medical & dental emergency management.
