Barnes and Noble is one of the best places you can go to not only to purchase a book but also relax with a cup of coffee and a sweet. They have free Wi Fi and you can take a book anywhere in the store to browse it. They have a great customer service section to help you find what you are looking for. If not available they can order it in for you or send it to your home. In addition they sell downloadable books and magazines for their device called NOOK where you can purchase at a fraction of the cost. If you are an avid reader then be sure to check out their website. I have found that some of the same books they carry in the store are available online at a reduced price. They also carry DVDs, music, calendars, and items of local interest. Since they are a chain you can return your purchase to any store if not completely satisfied. The store is laid out well with a special section devoted to children. They do offer a membership program for $ 25.00 per year which will save you 10% on your purchases and provide free expedited shipping if you order online. The program enables you to send items to your friends and family under your membership. My latest hobby is adult coloring books and I was fortunate to find the sought after«Enchanted Forest» coloring book there on this visit. It is very laid back and makes a great opportunity to unwind when visiting Settler’s Ridge.

Just called and they held my Aarti Party Indian cookbook! I stopped going to B&N in Cranberry. They never have the books I’m looking for including my cookbook. So Settlers Ridge it is, longer hours, bigger store and the books I want, it’s great!

An ok bookstore, so-called café. I just ordered a vomit inducing bbq chicken pizza. After one bite I gave it back… molten strange cheese, soft spongy crust, weird smell. They just took it and said sorry. Yeah, me too.

I have to say that this location made me actually not mind a Barnes and Noble experience. I am used to going to the Waterfront which seems more clustered/messy/unorganized. I had stopped in to see if they had a decent cookbook selection and whoa, I was amazed at how many choices I had and they were easy to navigate around too(as they had them broken up into sections so I did not waste time looking at books that were not healthier eating ones). The staff was friendly here and eager to help. They get an A+!

This is one of B&N’s newest locations in Pittsburgh. You can park on either side of the major parking lots in Settlers Ridge Shopping complex, and it isn’t hard to miss. The sales floor is both spacious but compact. There’s plenty of seating spaces but at the same time the whole thing feels cozy. Sales staff is friendly and for the most part the clientele present doesn’t get in the way of reading on-site. There is a Starbucks slash bakery but it doesn’t accept SBUX branded Gold Cards, which is a big bummer.
