My #1 sit-down pizza place. Awesome pizza! Generous toppings and good music! The kitchen sink is my favorite and the cheesy bread w/pepperoni added is a staple for the kids!

It’s a good concept for sure. I like being able to get a fresh pizza or salad made to order. But the location is extremely small and I personally don’t think that’s good for children.

Been meaning to stop by here many times. Had some time for lunch and was glad to have made it in. The place is clean(see my review about paradise bakery), got the small pizza with the kitchen sink toppings and a small Greek salad. The salad was nice and fresh, and the pizza was great. Thick crust and a good portion of toppings came on it. Will definitely come back.

Durkin’s Pizza in McKinney is a great little spot to hide and eat with the family. It’s located on the outside of the Target shopping center next to a few shops. As soon as you walk into this location, it feels right. There’s usually music playing and it smells yummy from the time you walk in. My family and I come here often and always love taking our time and sitting together for mealtime. I usually order more pizza than I can eat when I come here, but we take leftovers home for lunch the next day. My pizza is the meat pizza. It has pepperoni, hamburger, Italian sausage and bacon. There are lots of places that can bring a pizza to your house, but sometimes it’s good to go someplace with yummy pizza fresh out of the over and just sit and enjoy the ambiance. That’s what we do here. My kids love the spaghetti here, they can split one since the portions are awesome. The staff is always friendly and ready to answer any questions you may have. The kids feel relaxed here and we can easily put them at their own table so Mommy and Daddy can have talk time. Back to the food. I’m also a fan of the Greek salad and the Calzone here as well. I don’t typically stray from pizza since I love it so much, but every once and a while I venture out. I’ve only lived in Texas for around 10 years or so, so it’s nice to find a few spots that I can call my own and bring family to. Durkin’s is one of them and I will stay a regular here since everytime I dine at this lcoation, I feel like I am appreciated.

I have been to Durkin’s a few times for lunch since it is right by my work. All three times have been exceptional! The pizza is amazing! The crust is what sets this pizza apart from anywhere else. I have also gotten the Arugula salad. I was amazed at how fresh and tasty the salad ingredients were! What keeps me coming back is the service. The day time cashier(may be the manager) is awesome. I hate that I forgot his name. He remembered our faces and orders just from going there once. He is super friendly and really makes you feel special as a guest. I would defiantly recommend this place!

This pizza place is a gem! Delicious pizza! Crust was so tasty, sort of thin. Toppings were very good(hamburger, sausage, pepperoni, and roasted red peppers. Even the ranch on my salad was good(love ranch too) Overall, 1st experience was awesome! Please try the cheese bread… my only complaint is that the marinara it comes with comes cold but besides that. I will SO be coming back to this place!!!

Fast service and friendly service is what I look for other than the irreducible minimum of good food. The meat pizza was a little too salty for my liking but otherwise I enjoyed the To-Go experience at this Pizza joint.

Delicious crispy and gooey crust with delicious toppings. We ordered take out and we’re very pleased timing met expectations and the pizza was hot and warm out of the oven, freshly boxed for pick up.

I love pizza. There I said it. I have had pizza from all over the world and I must say, this place is top on my list. It makes the chain pizza places taste like the cardboard box they are delivered to you in. I usually order carry out at its ready super fast. I’ve never had to wait longer than 20 minutes. The staff is super friendly and upbeat, which is nice. Especially on a bad day when I’m stuffing my face full of pizza. Let me break down the pizza and why it’s fabulous. First the crust. It’s like this magical buttery garlicky flavor that melts in your mouth. The cheese is awesome. They do not skimp on the cheese, which is important to me because I love cheese. I hate ordering a pizza with just cheese and all I see is pizza sauce and some cheese. Anyways, the sauce is major yum. I can’t describe the flavor but if you put it all together, it’s like heaven in your mouth. Oh and of course I’ve had the cheesy bread. It’s fabulous as well. Seriously, you cannot go wrong with anything you order from here.

What a great pizza place with a rock and roll touch. If you’re getting a pizza for yourself, I warn you– get the small. No way you’ll finish a medium. I struggle with finishing the small and I consider myself a big eater. The thing I love about Durkins is that they LOAD their pizzas with toppings. They don’t go cheap on you here. The crust is a huge, bubbly, airy, heaven cloud that you will fall in love with. Service could be better, I love the atmosphere here– nice and cozy with rock memorabilia everywhere. I would highly recommend getting the cheese bread to start too– it’s one of the best cheese breads you’ll have– it is loaded with tons and tons of cheese. Pulling this thing apart makes for a nice food porn scene. Durkin’s rocks! My go to pizza place in the Allen/McKinney area.

I wish there was one closer to home, but when I am close by, a stop into Durkin’s is always a treat. The crisp yet chewy and buttery crust is just right. You know they are tossing your pizza after you order as this is not super fast place. It is worth the wait.

I went here due to a Unilocal friend’s review. :-) the service was good and timely. They weren’t very crowded though. Tried the supreme style pizza and it had ample toppings on it. Almost too much. The onions weren’t really cooked but boy oh boy the crust is yu-mm-oo! Note to self: get the cheesy bread instead with toppings. It’s an offer on the menu. The manager served us and he did recommend the cheesy bread but it would have been too much. The prices were not too bad either. Would go back again.

I’ve had Durkin’s Pizza bookmarked for quite some time but too lazy to ever venture out. I stumbled upon it when visiting Marble Slab next door. Although I wasn’t hungry, I stopped in for a small sausage pizza to see if the reviews were true. My pizza came out in less than 15 minutes. Since there was no one in the small restaurant, I quickly decided to try one slice. My goodness, it was the best pizza I’ve tasted in a while. My one slice quickly turned into three slices. The buttery, garlic crust and thick marinara sauce were amazing. I usually do not eat the crust but with the good flavor, I was force to leave no traces of it behind. I will definitely return to Durkin’s Pizza soon.

Probably one of the best pizza places I have been to in Dallas. Very clean. Extremely good service and wonderful pizza.

I must admit that I’m suspicious of any pizza place with a 4.5 star average. After all, my entire Unilocal existence owes itself to a place called ROSARIOS in Carson, California which boasted a 5-star average and was one of the most miserable pizza experiences of my life. So when my family was looking at homes in the Richwoods area, I did a quick Unilocal and found Durkin’s nearby with its ‘Gold Standard’ of reviews(100+ Reviews of 4.5 star average) and BOOM, it was on. We walked in and found the place clean. And empty. Devoid of customers. And employees. There was a guy in the back unloading a truck, but no one in the kitchen. Or behind the cashier counter. An inauspicious debut to be sure. I snapped a few pics and posted them up with captions like ‘Anyone home?’ and waited. And waited. Finally, some indifferent college-aged dude appears and I tell him we’ve been hanging out for ten minutes. He doesn’t seem to GAF. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza, a personal meat-lover’s pizza and an order of cheesy bread. The cheesy bread was a huge hit with my son and it was so good, I wound up sharing it with him. The pizzas were just okay. Yes, they’re a good deal, especially for lunch and if you’re hungry. But the sauce is a bit on the spicy side and the crust is very thick — great if you love that sort of thing or come from Chicago — but not to our New York pizza tastes. I’m not gonna dog the place because it certainly wasn’t terrible and we generally like thin-crust pizza, but between the inept service and our mixed emotions on the food, three stars seems pretty forgiving. You’re welcome.

10⁄2014 Took my son there to try out the pizza. It was really good. Loved the crust! 7÷4÷2015 Went there to get a quick lunch. Was almost nobody there. Bad sign! I Ordered the PTS Piza Topped Sandwich. You get to choose up to 4 toppings. I thought Woo Hoo! I ordered pepperoni, italian sausage, mushrooms, and jalapenos. Sandwich came out and it was nearly cold. Barely melted the cheese. The pizza sauce in the little cup was just out of the refrigerator, COLD!. The sandwich flavor was Not bad, not great either! Would I go back for it, hell no! Concept is good, execution was piss poor! The pizza I got here before was really good. This lunch special was not good enough to order again.

Went during lunch and loved it. For $ 4.95 you get a small cheese pizza(you can add toppings for an additional charge). The small is 10 inches I think but definitely 6 slices. My brother is big dude(6’3 and 225lbs) and he was full off of 5 slices. The crust is like a hand toss crust with a nice folded over rim that is yummy. Garlic butter goodness. The arugula salad I had to start was good with sliced strawberries, almonds, and mozzarella.

Cheap, fast, and pretty good. Tried the hawaiin and I was pleased with how it turned out. The core is thin but surrounded with a thick crust which kept me pretty full. Shared a small size with my gf and we were both content. If I was really hungry I would think the medium(8 slices) would be plenty. Bonus: two tvs on each side and they had the games playing
