Johnny Campisi opened late 2012 by opening his restaurant Johnny C’s in the McKinney area. His goal was to bring authentic Italian food and great homemade pizza to this area.

Johnny Campisi is a fourth generation Campisi and grew up working at the original Campisi’s dowtown on mockingbird lane. He Is a well seasoned chef who takes pride in making almost all of his food and dishes from scratch.

Chicken parm sandwich was inedible after a hour and twenty minute wait. Third time delivery was delayed or missing an item. Will not be ordering again from this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone at this point. A shame because the first few tries were not bad.

Disappointed. Tried for the first time and not good. Lasagna was like soup with pasta. Flavor was ok but it was very small and soupy. Salad was also bad. I will not be ordering from there ever again. I tried something new, wasted over $ 20, and learned a lesson. Life goes on without Johnny C.

For the last year I’ve been the biggest cheerleader for this reastaurant
and ate in and ordered delivery regularly. Today I ordered my favorite lasagna from your reastaurant and was deeply disappointed in what I found.
There was a large chunk of RAW meat in my lasagna. This is unsanitary and disgusting! Last time going there for sure. If I could give 0stars I would have done so.

Came here with a Groupon and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a hole in the wall with a definite home/​family feel. My daughter and I shared a small pizza and a salad. The pizza was excellent and the pasta looks amazing as there is a huge pot boiling with pasta in the back. Took home a delivery menu as I will definitely be eating this food again.

I stop by here every now and then for lunch. Usually get a small pizza, create my own and maker sure one of the toppings is meatball (Love ‘em!). Other Unilocalers here have complained about the pizza not exactly being visually appealing, but I tend not to judge a book by the cover and to believe the proof is in the pudding (see what I did there?). And is it there!!! Great blend of sauce, spices, and cheese to compliment the meatballs and what other toppings I add (usually jalapenos).
Johnny, Greg (?), and Misty all very friendly and attentive.
My only complaint, really, is the unsightly pile of to-​go menus and flyers at one of the booth tables. I assume it’s being used as a work station. It looks like the restaurant’s space is limited, I get it, but I hope a solution can be found to this problem.
Other than that, I will be back!

I’m not sure how you can walk into an Italian Restaurant place an order and it be completed within 5 minutes either it comes out of a can or it was prepared earlier in the day and it was reheated. Ordered the Manicotti and it was OK but nothing special. Garlic Bread was pretty good. Owner Johnny is a very friendly guy and greeted me when I entered the establishment. I walked out to my car to get my mobile phone and woman asked if the food was «homemade» and I said I don’t know it is my first time. I’ve eaten at much better Italian Restaurants in the area especially in Allen. If you need a quick Lunch in a pinch I’m sure it is fine but wouldn’t be my first choice.

I’ve dined in and had delivery from Johnny C’s and am never disappointed. I’ve had appetizers, pasta, and pizza… all delish! But that garlic bread! Omg! I can’t get enough of that garlic bread! I’ve noticed others complaining about prices — they seem comparable to other Italian restaurants to me. I agree with the other reviewers who say Johnny makes you feel at home. He was so friendly and talkative, it took me awhile to realize he was the owner. I will always come back!

Terrible pizza and salads. We order delivery and it took an hour to get it. Pizza was cold and dough was like cardboard!!! Our 2 year old took half a bite and spit it out. Seriously the worst pizza we have ever had! The salad was warm and wilted and the ranch was also awful. Sorry we wasted our time and money on this place. Never again

So, I was kind of disappointed by this place. My daughters pizza looked good, but my Alfredo was pretty tasteless. There as absolutely no seasoning in the sauce and the bread was really soggy. Then the cook was literally talking bad about their delivery man. He used profanity, which is not very professional. I’m sure everything would be better if they actually cared about what they’re cooking. The server was nice but was on her personal phone when serving some items. I honestly wanted to rewrite the ‘specials’ on the chalk board because it looked like a kid wrote it. And it was pretty dark, they had a lot of lights out. But I’m sure if I had gotten pizza it would have been better. They also need a bit of a deep cleaning. I’m note sure if we will be coming back to this place. But if we do it won’t be for the pasta.

Have eaten NYC Italian food my whole life. Bronx, Manhattan, Queens… etc. The bread is not Italian and the sauce is not even close. Was like watered down and fell to the bottom of the plate. Not the real deal and far off.

The only reason I’m giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because my combination pasta was mediocre as well as the salad was a bag mix.
Other than that their service was 5 star and made my family feel very welcome even though this was our first time dining in. Their homemade salad dressing was awesome (just wished the salad was made fresh). And my husbands pizza was phenomenal! He got the meat lovers and I’m not a huge meat eater but it was AMAZING! I love thin crust pizzas that are kinda crispy and that’s exactly what this was. I will definitely be back but this time for the pizza and more BYOB!

By far the best pizza around! Johnny C makes a great pie in a little hole in the wall spot. BYOB if you eat in. Wings were ok but the pizza is awesome. Thin crust with all the toppings you could dream up! He has a great coupon for a BOGO just ask when you call it in! Better than the Unilocal deal!

This place is horrible the food is fairly ok but the management and staff are really off. I bought the groupon. Took my sister there for a quiet lunch.
Got the lunch special 2 servings of pasta. We were charged 2.98 extra each for regular sauce on the pasta. The owner is rude.

This review is for their delivery through the Eat 24⁄7 app.
My delivery estimate was 35 – 45 minutes. In reality, it took 1 ½ hours. Shouldn’t they call if they are that far behind? I contacted Eat 24⁄7 twice during that time. At the 45 minute mark, I was told the restaurant was still preparing my food. At just over one hour, they said the driver was on another delivery, but mine was next. I should have received a better estimate on delivery time prior to purchase. Most of the items were lukewarm, and needed reheating. The pizza was room temperature. I’ve eaten at the restaurant a couple of times, and thought it was OK. However, their delivery service is poor. Johnny C’s has a better selection than Domino’s, Papa Johns, etc. However, those places deliver MUCH faster.

Tried this place for the first time today. Wife ordered spaghetti and added a meatball, I ordered the pasta sampler. Neither of us were impressed. Sauce was really sweet and pasta sampler was watery. Only positive thing was the delivery was fast and friendly. Doubt we will try this place again.

Horrible service. I ordered a meal for delivery and received the wrong meal. When I called, Johnny C answered the phone and said that he changed it because he «thought [I] would like this better» (never met him before). It was terrible. They came to bring me more food (still wrong). I finally said that they could take it back and to just give me my money back. I was told that this would happen and to call back. I called back and Johnny C demanded to know what was wrong with it and hung up in my face. I called back and he said he never gives money back so too bad. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND SLOPPY FOOD!!! (And I rarely complain about food!!)

Go in, sit down and within 5 minutes Johnny C. will make you feel like you have been coming here for years.
Order in any pizza but if you really want something tasty order any of Johnny’s dishes that he has on the menu or a special.

Wow was I surprised! We ordered pizza delivered. We were told delivery in 35 – 40 minutes. It arrived almost an hour and fifteen minutes later so I was a little skeptical when it arrived. The standard $ 4 salad was mostly lettuce core and the ranch dressing was average at best. THEN the pizza. Visually it was lackluster. Take a bite? Omg that is fantastic pizza! It was totally worth overlooking the sub-​par salad. Flavors were just right and the crust was better than I’ve had in a long time. The three stars are for the prices and sides that don’t partner well with the quality of the main event… the pizza!

My family and I went there on a night there just happened to be live entertainment. Turns out it was a once a month deal with Little Anthony from Dallas. Very fun show! On top of that the food was fantastic. They had some fantastic crab leggs (when in season) and my wife had the meat lovers pizza and I snagged a bite for myself. FANTASTIC! I will be going back for sure with my friends and extended family! Johnny is almost always there and is a super nice guy.

Saw Johnny C’s today when we pulled up to Smoothie King, both were closed until 11 but we decided we’d order from Johnny C’s for lunch since they delivered. Lr Pepperoni pizza since it seemed most of their good reviews included a pizza. Spaghetti and Lasagna for obvious reasons. And cheesecake. The spaghetti and lasagna came with side salads which was a nice touch. Hubs said pizza was pretty good, small girl said her spaghetti was ok. My lasagna however was mush, it felt like It had been pureed and poured into a styrofoam container. Sorry just no. We just tried our cheesecake and every piece taste freezer burnt. Too bad bc at $ 60 you offered decent pricing, however being 39 weeks pregnant and when I want lasagna and cheesecake and it taste like this we won’t be reordering to try it again.

My first time to try them was last weekend. My friend lives across the road and orders so much they know him by name. He has been dying to get me to try them. They sounded genuinely happy to take my order and perked up even more when I gave the address. The delivery guy was very quick and friendly… very cheerful. It was a holiday weekend, so I knew they would be running all night. I ordered the cheese ravioli with red sauce and added chicken along with a dinner salad with their dressing. Now… I’m a diehard Ranch girl. I LOVED their dressing. Their chicken tasted very good and most places it tastes microwaved. I was very pleased with the food, very homemade/​authentic tasting to me. I was a little sad that it wasn’t an unending bowl, but I’ll get over that.
Prices were pretty good considering it’s more homemade than the big italian chains.
I can’t wait to try their other dishes!

Horrible service! Order delivery have $ 107 worth of food, was told it would take 45 min. Called at 6:49, at 8:41 the order still wasn’t complete. An hour 1⁄5 after we called they brought the order missing the main course… The pizza. The poor driver had to go all the way back to get it because we were charged. Another 30 minutes went by and still no pizza. We had already paid $ 127 for this order, so we called. The RUDE manager offered no apology, and no atonement what so ever! All he could do is blame the driver. WORST customer service ever. Needless to say that’s the last time they will get $ 127 from us.

I’m only ordered delivery, but have had 100% amazing experience with that. Their pizza is fantastic, no comparison to chain pizza places: Johnny C’s wins, hands down. Their alfredo isn’t too impressive, but don’t get me wrong, it’s still good. They have great specials and their salad dressings are fantastic!
Great delivery guy (I’m only met one all the times I’ve ordered) and Johnny C himself is great and friendly. I’ve talked with Johnny C and you can tell he really cares about his customers.

I ordered a sausage and jalapeño pizza, side salad, and meatball sub to go. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I arrived it was ready to go. The salad had crisp, fresh greens. It was perfect. The meatball sub was superb. The meatballs tasted homemade and the sauce was perfect. Now, to the pizza. It was a little on the not done side. We will definitely try it again. I would rather eat here then some chain pizza joint.

Met Mr C himself. It is a very quaint and friendly place and they really want to make the customers happy. Not to be rude at all but grinding your teeth kills me and the waiter did it so much I could hear him do it away from our table. They had the door open so it was a bit muggy in the restaurant.
They offer a complementary glass of white or red wine, red is fantastic and its a basic Merlot. The food was good, could of had less onions, which hurt my stomach and more spices in the sauce. Yes I did ask for no onions and wasn’t told there was a lot in the sauce. The grilled chicken was not the bet piece of grills chicken I’ve ever had, but the spaghetti, sampler plate, cheese garlic bread and Hawaiian pizza were delicious. Thin crust pizza. Not sure if I would go back but definitely glad I tried it.
