This place is consistently good. The manager comes by once in awhile to check on you. The pizza is always good. I say try it soon if you haven’t mellowed out, yet!

Really great pizza, with unusual topping choices but still very good. My favorite was the«Kosmic Karma» pizza. Such a lovely location in the Mckinney square, and a great interior. Would recommend to a pizza lover!

Gave it a try on a Saturday for a late lunch. Was not crowded so got a seat right away. Server was nice. Atmosphere was nice since it was not to crowded or loud. But all in all I don’t think we will be back. Food was very pricey for the small potions you receive and a long wait time to receive the food on a day that was not busy. Not even a half full restaurant. Food is average and overpriced compared to other places like this. Meatball submarine. Comes in half or full. I order the full, Not real big, about 2.5 meatballs total cut in half on the whole sub but did not have to worry about it spilling over for sure lol. NO sides come with any of the sandwiches but potato chips where a $ 1 more if you wanted. I ordered some thinking maybe there where those type that where made in house type. Nope, Just a bag of chips. Second item Vegetable calzone. Small, had decent veggies but light on cheese and a small amount of sauce on the side. About a ¼ a cup. 2 kids meals, Pricey and small also. Did not hate the place just found it not a good value and lacking in taste, quality, and quantity compared to other places like this. Family of 4 with little kids and water for drinks was about $ 50 after tip.

Usually get pretty slow service every time I’ve gone, wait times just for beer 15 minutes plus seemed our waitress forgot about us at times, we spoke to the manager and her attitude changed near the end of us leaving which is why I didn’t give it a star less rating, but 15 minutes + wait time on a beer on a Wednesday… common. There was maybe a total of 20 people there eating at the time.

Great atmosphere and great pizza(albeit slightly overpriced). Our server was really sweet, but not enough to make me forget the hour long wait we had: x There was an issue that day, I believe they said one of the ovens had broke or something so I’m sure the wait isn’t always that bad. Experience was also tainted by the fact that I was swatting bees for 2 hours, we were seated at the front opening and it was super annoying but not their fault, of course; I just wish we were able to move but the place was packed.

We showed up on a Sunday thinking there would be a shorter wait time. Not necessarily the case. Don’t get me wrong, the food o Is delicious but the hostess staff was clearly not thrilled to be at work. I’ve been there before and the place is always packed. That is a testament to the food.

I had no idea this place was tucked into downtown McKinney(or that it was a chain with several locations in Dallas), so I came in blind. In addition to a nice variety of pizzas, they also serve salads, calzones, and standard bar food. I initially intended to order the Magical Mystery Tour, but then I saw a picture of the Kosmic Karma — a vegetarian pizza with a pretty pesto swirl on top — and I was sold. The sauce was spicier and more prevalent than what I prefer(I like a pizza with less sauce and a ton of cheese, and their configuration was exactly the opposite). However, the flavor was good and they didn’t skimp on the toppings. The crust was the real star of the show. Perfect balance between doughy and crusty, and when I ate my leftovers the next day, it stood up unbelievably well to the microwave. Next time, I’ll try one of their pesto pizzas. I dined here with a big group and one person’s order unfortunately got lost along the way. The manager came over to personally apologize and to say the meal would be comped. They got his food out to him about ten minutes later, so kudos to them for making good on it.

I use Unilocal to avoid places like this… but my son wanted to meet me there and against my better judgement, I went. I had a vegie burger and it was a small, not very flavorful(it looked pre-made/frozen), I tried my daughters steak sandwich and thought it was not very interesting. I passed on my son’s pizza, but I could see the grease dripping off the crust and it was clearly a big doughy consistency that I had no interest in. To top it off, they had a number of kids parties there so we waited an HOUR for our food. No complementary apps as we waited or discount at the end, just a meek«yours will be soon» every now and again. The place is not cheep and the food is not great so I don’t see a need to go back when there are great options like Cavalli’s in town.

Amazing pizza, and best happy hour on the square. ½ off all beers under 7%, house wines, liquor, specialty drinks, and all appetizers except for wings. Monday — Friday from 3pm — 6pm!

Next to being a budding beer cicerone(think wine sommelier) I consider myself an expert on pizza. I’ve had my fair share and have developed a certain palette for this particular carb loaded delicacy. I just don’t get it. Why Mellow Mushroom folks? What’s so great about it? The crust? This definitely isn’t delivery. Hell, this isn’t even DiGiorno’s! The flavor? This place definitely goes the route of quantity over quality. On a separate note, what do you think of when you hear pretzel? If you said soft and doughy, you’re a normal human being… and should avoid ordering the pretzels here. They have a great beer selection… but so do most places now. You know what also doesn’t help? Fruit flies harassing you during the entirety of your dinner. I mean, they liked the food. Then again, they are fruit flies. You’re in downtown McKinney. Why aren’t you at Cadillac Pizza pub?

Funny, we had to come all the way to McKinney to experience what has been in Austin all along. Great Beer, great Pizza selections and great place to just hang out and have a cocktail with your buddies, or kids. I saw a few families in there for lunch and it felt very welcoming for my 2 girls. Will be back again.

MM is the place to be if you love a great vibe, great people, and great food! The place has its own touch of uniqueness! I had a philosopher’s pie pizza with loads of fresh ingredients: artichoke, olive, big @$$ mushroom, steak, and lots of cheese. Every bite was pack with flavorful taste: savory, a hint of sourness from the artichoke, lightly crispy crust, and melting mozzarella! Overall, this place is great for group party or just a causal bite! I would recommend to friends and everyone else! FOOD: 5⁄5 SERVICE: 5⁄5 AMBIANCE: 5⁄5

This isn’t my favorite type of pizza because I prefer thin crust, but it was good & greasy if that is what you like! We got wings for appetizer which were pretty good but their ranch isn’t the best. I did appreciate that the menu had more than just pizza for families like mine who can never agree on where to go! Service was good, too. No complaints but just not my favorite!

I’ve never ever gone to a mellow mushroom for service but the food and atmosphere generally trumps that. Not this time. We were sat and waited 10 minutes for service while approximately(not really approximately, exactly… because i had plenty of time to count) SIX employees(including our supposed waitress) stood and chatted at the hostess stand. We asked for a table further from the front row seat to the live band. We ordered a drink(a vodka Gimlet and a beer). A bartender comes over and asks which vermouth we want. We explain that we weren’t aware of a recipe with vermouth but thatvodka, lime juice and simple syrup is fine. She says ok and walks away. THEN. Another bartender comes over to argue over it. He was rude. If they didn’t come over in the first place whatever they made would have been fine I’m sure of it. Every time we order it, it’s slightly different… we’re not that picky but if you ASK then don’t come back and tell us we’re wrong. Two things could have happened and there would be no issue. 1. Don’t ask is how we want the drink or 2. Make it how we said when you asked if you have all ingredients. So, in the end, we ordered a glass of water to avoid any confusion. This also probably explains why Cadillac pizza had an hour and a half wait and mellow mushroom is half empty.

Some friends and employees raved about this place, so we thought we would give it a try. First, we were going here primarily for pizza and second, we did not know it was a chain. We usually go to Cadillac Pizza just down the street and that is the standard by which we judged this place. Service was very typical of the name of the restaurant. The staff was so mellow that service was pretty sloooow and casual. Interesting attire on the staff. However, everyone was very friendly and the place is very clean. Huge restrooms! Pizza was thick crust and done in a regular restaurant pizza oven. No wood fired, thin crust here. The pizza was very expensive and reminded us of the stuff they serve at Costco for $ 1.50 a slice. There were two of us with one large pizza, a salad, one glass of wine and iced tea and a small pizza to take home to our son. $ 80 seemed on the high side? It looked to us that this place might be all about the bar scene and food was secondary to the business plan. I may be wrong, but that is the feeling we got. So, I know pizza is a very subjective thing but for our taste we will continue to prefer the wood roasted thin crust version that is not available here.

This place was ok. It’s very small with a live band and I enjoyed the salad. I had the enlighten spinach salad with applewood bacon and extra dressing. Because we had such a big group with us the manager awarded us with some cheese bread with marinara sauce
