My cuts have been nice but the first time getting color was a bad experience. I walked in with virgin hair asking for blonde and red peek a boo highlights. Walked away with brown «highlights» and a shade of red you couldn’t even see in my hair. $ 160 dollars and my hair looked almost the same as when I walked in.
You could see a few «streaks». I was sobbing from the disappointment.
Price was crazy expensive. They did offer to fix it. Honestly I’m still not super happy. I was there from 11:30 to almost 6:30…I’m still unhappy. It’s not what I asked for and not an almost $ 200 job. Their nice but it wasn’t worth it.

My mother gets her hair done here every week and she just loves the experience. Can not thank them enough for all the extras with a smile. Makes my life so much easier. Her hairdresser is Lindsey and I know she has the kindest soul for all she does!

I am real picky about my stylist. So I read the reviews I chose carefully. I went with Lindsay and I did not regret it. I wanted something easy and different and she gave it to me. Everybody loved it. I kept asking her if I should do certain things with my hair and she gave me honest opinion. No! It would not be flattering for you! Lol thank you! I will be back! Next is color! !!

Reanna has been cutting me and my wife’s hair for many years now. She does a great job and the salon is well run. I am glad I found Reanna and Shear Image!

Cindi did a bang trim for me and was quick, efficient and did an awesome job with them I was in and out in about 10 mins no wait at all for my appointment will definitely be going back when it’s time for my haircut

I went here to get my haircut from a stylist I haven’t had a haircut with before. I was apprehensive when I called for an appointment but the lady on the call assured me that the stylist would do a good job (my stylist was a guy). I went in and described what I wanted, not too short and for the style to take the shape of my face. He didn’t talk much or ask any questions when cutting my hair. After he cut, and styled my hair, it looks fine. But he had cut off a lot of hair and volume from my hair and made it too short. I walked out thinking it would be fine but after the first wash, it turns out that it’s really short and also not at all feminine. I am thoroughly disappoint d with it. It makes me look like a teenage boy. I wouldn’t return to this salon again.

Go see Heather Shada immediately! She is AMAZING! Not only is she professional and friendly, but she has a style intelligence that is on point! I love her style and she definitely has a gift in what she does. I am very picky about my hair and who gets their hands in it, but Heather is really an artist and I will go back to her again and again and again!
If you want the best, go see the best. And Heather is THE BEST.

Lindsay at Shear Image did an awesome job with my hair! I didn’t really know what I wanted, but she helped me find a style that really suited me. Very friendly and professional. Loved the interior of the salon as well — very clean and organized. Highly recommend… I will be back.

Richelle is my hairstylist and she always does an exceptionally great job on my hair. She is very friendly and patient. Everyone in the salon is friendly and it’s evident they thoroughly enjoy hair-​styling and working with their clients. I highly recommend Shear Image By Rene’ Salon and Spa.

This was my first attempt at finding a McKinney hair salon. This particular salon is easy to find (directly off a main road) and provides ample parking. The interior of the building however is dated and in desperate need of a makeover. There is no cohesive design to make the salon feel modern and vibrant. The one thing that really, really bothered me were the dust balls attached to the painted black ceiling. When you are laying at a shampoo bowl, cobwebs are the last thing you want to see. Additionally there wasn’t any music playing (that I recall) which added to the lack of appeal for me. The hairstylist was friendly and very accommodating so that was a plus. She never yanked on my hair or whacked me in the head with a blow dryer so for that I am thankful. Unfortunately, my cut didn’t look nearly like the picture which I brought in. I have had the cut numerous times and know that it can be achieved as it is a basic textured cut. The color also appeared drab and though my hair looked much better than when it went in, I expect a little more for $ 150 (not including tip). One last thing, the receptionist need not walk over while I’m having my hair done to push my stylist to ask me to join you on facebook.

I had my hair cut here and walked out happy :) Customer service was friendly but not too chatty which I prefer.

After moving to McKinney, I drove to Dallas for haircuts for over a year before I decided to try this salon I kept seeing driving up and down El Dorado. Fast-​forward a few more years and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Reanna’s amazing for a great cut (I don’t color, so can’t review that).
It’s a comfortable environment, never much of a wait, and I never feel pressured to buy salon products (something that used to really bother me at other salons).
…just a really quality haircut for a great price!

I went to Ashley Wood for a cut and color and she did an awesome job on both. Her assistant, also Ashley, gave me the best shampoo I have ever had. I couldn’t be happier. I have finally found someone who can look at pictures of what I like and give me a cut that not only reflects what she sees in the picture but tailor it to look good on me. Ashley said she also does kids’ cuts, so I will be taking my daughter to her.

On impulse I wanted a lot of my dry, damaged hair cut off but was also worried because most stylists would leave me with a flat, lifeless cut that did not suit my face shape. Renes was one of the few salons open and I am so glad I decided I get my hair cut here! Got my hair cut by Lana Cruz — this is hands down the best cut I’ve ever gotten, and I’ve gotten a lot of different cuts/​styles. She knew exactly what she was doing, I honestly didn’t even have to bring a picture or try to explain a style. She took one look at my hair and knew the best style for me. Another plus is the reasonable price. It was only $ 34! I love my new haircut and will definitely be coming back here!!!

So, I am on the fence about my experience. All of the ladies were super nice. She took her time coloring my hair. However, in the end my hair is about 2 – 3 inches shorter in front than I asked for (which is a significant amount) The color was done beautifully, but… she didn’t style it. She blow dried my naturally curly hair and it looked like a Poof when I left. I went home to straighten it myself even though I requested styling. It looks good. Not really what I asked for but it looks good so I’m not going to complain to much on that… but when I saw the customer waiting up front for my stylist I kinda felt like she rushed through the cut and style to get to the regular client waiting. The price was good for what I had done. So I am just not thrilled but not terribly upset. I will go back in a couple of months… hopefully I will be wow’ed so I can update adding stars.

I went to Rene’s due to proximity but found it to be more than I could have hoped for. I had to have my hair cut fixed due to a horrible cut at another place. I called when they opened and received an appointment an hour later with Reanna Nix. She was amazing! Not only did she show me the uneven cut I received but also listed to what I wanted. She used an amazing product (called Enjoy) but didn’t push it on me. I liked it so much I bought it. She explained how to use it effectively. I relocated here 6 months ago and am happy to have found the place for me from here on out.

I was happy that when I looked for a salon close to my house (and found the great reviews for this place) that they were actually able to get me in on the same day! I saw Sebrina and she was super sweet and helped me make some decisions about hair color since I had never used the brand they have at the salon. I appreciated that she didn’t just take my best guess on what color I’d like but really took the time to talk it through with me, bring out a sample book, and make sure I was comfortable with the decision.
The haircut took a little longer than I was used to, but I really think thats because they put so much care and effort into your hair! When I mentioned that I really had liked the last hair cut I got and was hoping to just do some maintenance, I didn’t get any argument or «suggestions» on how to change it, Sebrina did exactly what I asked. I ended up loving my hair so much that my husband went there the very next day and he loves his hair too!
They don’t just do hair though, they have a mini nail salon in the back and I also heard a customer talk about eyebrow waxing. Much more than just a hair salon and I’m looking forward to going back! I must say I’m partial to Sebrina, but it seemed like all the stylists were amazing.

This salon is an amazing place to get professionally pampered!
If you want the best cut and the most amazing color of your life, call and ask for Ashley. My hair has never been so healthy and the color looks better than natural. Ashley is very laid back but completely on top of the latest in hair trends. She is a the best stylist I’ve been to in many years and I will follow her wherever she goes if she ever leaves here!
For a facial that rivals a religious experience, please, please call and ask for Karen. I have had many facials done by many people but never have I met anyone for whom it is a true calling like it is for Karen. Not only do you get a wonderful facial (I guarantee you will look and feel 10 years younger!) but she massages your shoulders, arms and hands… my skin has never looked better since I started getting regular facials with Karen.

There were 5 appointments for wedding hair at 12:30pm on a Saturday. By 1:50pm no one was done and one of the bridesmaids had not even been started. They were supposed to be finished 2:30pm but didn’t end up leaving until 3:30pm.
WHOEVER MADE THE SCHEDULE, SCHEDULED OTHER CLIENTS IN BETWEEN THE WEDDING PARTY!
The woman doing a bridesmaid’s hair took a man’s haircut while she sat around for 30 minutes unfinished. The woman doing the bride’s hair stopped and took another apointment for highlights. One of the bridesmaids did not even get started until close to 2:00pm!
At the very last minute around 3:00pm, a manager came into the salon and tried to help the situation by doing the bridesmaids’ make up free of charge and giving a discount on the hair which was very nice. However, by that time, the damage had already been done.

Well went to TX to visit with my sister, who informed me she hadn’t gotten a decent haircut in over 10 years. Of course I Unilocaled a local hair salon since neither of us were familiar with any hair salons in the area. I called Lagniappe Hair Design and requested 2 hair appointments at the same time. They weren’t too sure if they could fit us both in, but they worked us in there to have 2 consecutive appointments.
When we arrived the next day, they were able to get us both in at the same time. We had 2 great stylists working away on us. Forgive me, I cannot remember their names. They were very friendly and talented. Both my sister and I were very satisfied with the customer service and their work. May I also mention affordable? For 2 shampoos, cuts and styles it was only $ 95.00. Thought it was going to be more as I was quoted $ 50 per person, so it was a steal if a deal.
