Our surgeon and Regional Medical Director TLC Laser Eye Centers Washington DC Metro area, Dr. Andrew Holzman, has dedicated his career to refractive surgery. Dr. Holzman is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and is also a Corneal Specialist. His background includes extensive surgical experience in cataract surgeries and corneal transplant surgeries. He has had training in all types of vision correction procedures, such as RK, AK, ALK, PRK, LASIK, and NearVision CK.

Dr Holzman is an expert in the field of Refractive Surgery. He has performed well over 55,000 refractive procedures and was named a Star Surgeon by VISX for his performance as a refractive surgeon. Dr. Holzman is a visiting Associate Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia. He has been instrumental in bringing new technologies to the Metro DC area, including Intralase/​bladeless LASIK and Conductive Keratoplasty. He serves as a National Trainer for AMO/​Intralase and is Regional Medical Director of 3 TLC Laser Eye Center locations. Dr Holzman is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an elected member and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. After graduating with honors from Emory University, Dr Holzman received his MD at the University of Miami School of Medicine, completed an Ophthalmology residency at GWU Medical Center and a Corneal Surgery Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
