My husband was in town for an interview and was trying to make it back home which is out of state. The problem was since it was so cold outside and a truck driver whose tire popped on highway when he was on his way home. Well the debris from the semu trucks tire popping it flew back at him and the debris went under his car and shattered his brake pad. They fixed the car within a few hours for a really great price. Now my husband is back on the road on his way home. My husband said that their customer service was great and that he couldn’t have went anywhere else that would have been as good as they were to him. They even had puppy treats for our little furbaby. I am so thankful for their help and glad that my babies will be home very soon! Thank you so much Auto Tech for your help. We will definitely come back if we ever need any work done when we are in town! I would recommend anyone to come here!

I’ve been bringing my cars here for over 25 years — no challenge has been to big! They are responsive, caring, do great work and are nice people. The few times they could not do the repair (transmissions and drive train repairs) their recommendations were quality. Just had my car serviced here for the first time. Came recommended by a friend and I must say that I am totally ecstatic about the service! They were very thorough when explaining my options and competitive in price. I went to two other places before going to them for a price quote and they offered better prices by far! They worked on my car in a timely manner, I couldn’t be happier.
I finally feel like I’ve found a place that won’t rip me off, somewhere I can trust with my car. Gonna tell everyone I know about them. If you need a repair, check them out!

I’ve been taking my car to Auto Tech for years, and always had excellent communications and work done by them. I’m a female and I have never been talked down to or feel like I got ripped off because of my gender. I no longer work in Tyson’s corner, but still call for advice occasionally, and when I sense an auto issue is more then standard maintance I endure the effort of getting my car back to them from Ashburn.

Best place for honest service on older cars.

I took my old car (about 200k miles; yeah Chrysler!) in because it was running hot and dripping coolant. The guys scheduled the work quickly and spent a good amount of time going over it. All that they found, however, was a disconnected fan cable. They warned me that it could be the gasket (as I suspected) and sure enough it ran a little cooler after the tweak but still not normal. I took it to another mechanic about a week or two later (still suspecting the gasket) who said that the coolant system was visibly corroded in multiple places: reservoir, radiator, and lines. This mechanic said that it would go soon and wasn’t worth the repair. He was right on both counts.
I would give them a 2, but I was contacted by Ralph in response to this posting. He asked me to evaluate his shop on its cumulative service which would be at least a 4 and so I bumped him up. Overall, Auto Tech is prompt, courteous, honest, and fairly priced. Outside of this instance — where they clearly missed the call — they’ve been excellent. And nobody’s perfect. .. .

While I no longer drive a Toyota, when I did I took it to Auto Tech in its later years for all types of service. Reliable, reasonable prices. I recommend this place to my friends who drive Asian cars.

Trustworthy, reliable, honest, and accurate in their timing estimates what else could you as for in a mechanic?

My family started going to Auto Tech in 1982 — before I could even drive. They have seen our family grow as we have watched their business grow. You can’t find a friendlier, more honest, better priced shop anywhere!
I live in Arlington now and it is a trek to make my way to the Tysons shop. But really it is worth it — I know that when I bring my car here I am not going to be ripped off or taken advantage of. I can trust them to give me sound advice on what I need to do. When i was in college and funds were an issue, they were also good about helping me prioritize my repairs.
I never plan on taking my car anywhere else.

Family owned and operated. These guys are the best repairs you can get anywhere around NOVA… we used to live in Vienna and 14 years ago moved to MD and to this date we take our cars to them everytime. Great people, good honest answers and fantastic repairs every time…

Solid dudes here. They have reasonable prices, and actually give you options for maintaining your car instead of acting like you need the most expensive solution to every problem. They also have your car ready when they say they will.
If you’re really offended by Republicans, you might want to avoid having long conversations with a couple of the folks, but everyone here is really nice.
