Dr Crantz is a native of Detroit, Michigan. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He then spent two years at Cambridge University in Cambridge, England, where he received his Masters Degree. Dr Crantz received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his internship and residency in Medicine at The New York Hospital, Cornell University Medical College in New York City. From 1978 – 1981 he was a Research Fellow in Endocrinology at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his Endocrine fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
