John F. Heltzel AIA, A Professional Corporation, has grown steadily based primarily on the referrals of previous clients.

Our firm began as a one-​man office, providing services for a variety of projects including small office buildings, tenant layouts and residential projects. After establishing a solid reputation as a service-​oriented, knowledgeable and talented architect, the firm steadily grew in size and project range to the 8 person office it is today. The firm’s primary office has been in the City of Manassas since 1991, with secondary offices in McLean, Virginia, and Lynchburg, Virginia.

I began my career serving a four year internship at Karl E. Kohler Associates, a noted design firm specializing in commercial office buildings in Vienna, Virginia. I started the firm John F. Heltzel AIA in 1991, with a base clientele generated solely from referrals and my active participation in community projects.
