We have two large dogs, one is a rescue prone to anxiety when we are gone so we are always nervous leaving them with someone new. Amy was absolutely wonderful. She has a calm, kind demeanor that put us all at ease right away. She was very thorough in gathering information about our pets’ needs, as well as, our expectations. My husband and I had crazy travel schedules for a while and we could always count on Amy to take wonderful care of our dogs, communicating with us when appropriate. We came to rely on her a great deal and although we have moved away from the area, I still wanted to give Pet Care at Home my highest recommendation.

We have a 15 ½ year old senior dog who is at a point in his life where he requires a lot of special care. Although we were anxious to leave him this summer for a vacation, after we met with Amy we felt much better so we decided to go. Amy really came through for us, and was a fantastic sitter — she’s very professional, but also caring! She is someone you can trust. We are so grateful for Amy’s excellent care and attention for our old guy. We will definitely call her again.

I moved to the area a few months ago and had a last-​minute need for a cat sitter after a friend cancelled the day before I was scheduled to go out of town. Amy answered my desperate call at 9 p.m. And showed up the following morning at 7:30 a.m. to meet my cat and get the keys! I was so impressed that she made herself available on such short notice, and she did a wonderful job! She sent me texts each morning when she came over to let me know that Koko was doing okay. She also left me a note with details on each of her visits. I’m so glad Amy was available for my trip and I plan to use her for all my future travel!

Amy was absolutely fantastic. I called on what I thought was short notice and was able to get things worked out for her to look after my two cats while we took a short trip out of town. She made a great first impression by introducing herself to the cats, even though one of them was in absolutely no mood to make friends. She sent me updates via text, including pictures. I was very happy and will definitely be giving her a call again!

I had recently moved to McLean and was in need of pet sitting for some business travel I was doing. I was really nervous because my dog, Lucy, is a rescue and does not take to strangers easily. Amy was great and took excellent care of Lucy and my home. I received updates on Lucy’s progress, her appetite and behavior.

I have hired Amy to care for my 10-​year-​old Ragdoll twice so far, and the care and attention has been excellent. She keeps a diary of her visits with day/​time/​activities and adds comments about the animal’s behavior, etc. I used a different pet sitter in the past and came home to find the food dish empty, the litter box dirty, and my TV on! You won’t have this kind of trouble with Amy — she is 100% professional and 100% reliable — you will NOT be disappointed.
