Someone in the very long line at Sweetgreen said the Piazza’s lease was up. They are quite closed, whatever the reason.

I really have mixed feelings about this place. True, it is quite classy and upscale for a mall food court, but this is Tysons Galleria, so what else would you expect? I stopped in here the Saturday before Christmas for a lunch break while doing some last-​minute shopping, thinking it would be quick and easy. I was wrong. I walked up to the counter and ordered a black and blue burger – simple enough, right? Apparently not. The employee who took my order had a hard enough time simply understanding what I had requested. Evidently, stipulating «BLACK AND BLUE BURGER» in a clear, enunciated voice does not suffice at this establishment. I finally called over one of the other employees who I could tell was far more competent. She somehow managed to convey my order to him, and finally, I thought, I was going to get my lunch. I was wrong again. I watched the employee proceed to botch several attempts at making the burger, and ultimately several patties had to be thrown out. Cognizant of my building frustration, the other employee once again came over and attempted to remedy the situation. She practically had to watch over his every move before my burger finally turned out correctly. This had to have been a 20 minute ordeal – at a minimum. During this time, I also observed him attempt to serve a fellow customer’s burrito COLD. After that, to my delight, the other employee gave him a talking-​to he wouldn’t soon forget. My burger was served, and I could finally get on my way. I returned once again the following Saturday (¹²⁄₂₇), and to my manifest disappointment, the same staff were on duty. The service was slightly more expeditious this time, but still not satisfactorily quick as one expects in a food court. I am a busy person – I simply don’t have time to sit around watching a new-​hiree receive on-​the-​job training at a mall food court. I haven’t given up on this place – it is convenient and the food it decent enough, but I may do so soon if things don’t change fast.

Where else can you get all of this food under one roof? Fits a wide variety of tastes. However, there are a few issues that need to be addressed. Layout– I get its cafeteria style, but there is no rhyme or reason to moving around within the different stations. Food Quality– meh… Some stations seemed to offer fresh options, but my pasta dish was loaded with oil and pesto. Enough to create a pool within the plate. Lastly, cleanliness. There needs to be a consistent effort on keeping everything clean.
P. s.- the menu boards and layout of the menu boards are horrible.

I came to this restaurant after a day of shopping. I love everything about this location. Great food, friendly staff, shorter wait time, and awesome service.

I used to come here almost every day for lunch and really enjoyed their salads. However, the quality has dropped significantly of the last 6 months, and the price has increased. I used to pay around $ 7.50 for the greek salad; now, it’s over $ 9.00. The salad makers are no longer careful or consistent with the salad, and 3 times out of 5, I get a salad that is either small, has few ingredients or, most commonly, is over dressed. About 1 out of ever 5 times I go, I get an amazing, fresh, tasty salad.
If the quality was consistent and the price was a bit lower, I would probably still be coming here several times a week. as it is, there are better places you can get this type of food in the Tyson’s area for lunch.

Piazza is a great option when you have a large or picky group of people looking for a casual meal in Tysons. There is a wide selection of food and most of it, in my experience, is fresh and well prepared.
However, wow, it is not cheap, particularly for what it is.
A friend and I stopped here for lunch one afternoon. Both of us headed toward the salad bar. In fact, the ability to have an entrée salad for lunch here was the main reason we picked Piazza di Giorgio. I ordered my salad, which included chicken, avocado, bacon, lettuce, and maybe three other veggies as well as dressing. I passed on the roll, but it was complementary. I grabbed a 1L bottle of water and headed to the cash register…
… where I was told my total was EIGHTEEN DOLLARS. Yes, American dollars. Eighteen of them. What the… Seriously?
The salad was pretty good. It wasn’t $ 18.00 good. It was maybe half a star down from Chop’t. (And didn’t provide the awesome show or selection of fantastic add-​ins Chop’t does.) While I had a nice lunch, it should have been a lot closer to, say, 12 $.
It’s also sort of disgusting that there are all these birds flying around above you while you eat. Galleria should probably do something about that; it can’t be sanitary.

You gotta try their pasta. They cook it right front of you! Unbelievable taste! Molto bene!

If you don’t spend a lot of time on the third floor, you may not even know this place is here (at least I didn’t). It’s a food court, but you know it’s a pretty high-​end food court when you don’t have to bus your own table. In fact, we looked around for a trash can to throw away our pizza box and napkins, and were told to just leave our trash at the table.
We had the sausage pizza. They have some uncooked pizza on display, and when my husband asked for a fresh one, the guy behind the counter said that it’s only been sitting there for 10 minutes. Upon inspection, my husband said that he would prefer a fresh one, and was apparently met with a dramatic eye-​roll. He went to pay, and by the time he came back, the pizza was already made and being put into the oven. I understand that, especially when it’s late in the afternoon they would prefer to get rid of the displays, but hey, I don’t think it was a completely unreasonable request.
Anyway, the pizza, to its credit, tasted «home-​made.» Kind of in the way that a you would expect a pizza project made by a mother and a young child would taste if you used above-​average ingredients. There wasn’t a whole lot of flavor, especially in the crust. But it is a fresh-​baked pizza, and high-​end or not, it is a food court. At $ 8 for a small pizza, not a bad option if you’re just looking for something to satisfy general hunger.
The place is kept clean, the displays are tasteful and modern, and you get a fairly good variety to choose from. All in all, not bad if you’re fueling up for a day of shopping and don’t want to resort to Maggiano’s or Cheesecake Factory.

Need a quick and tastey bite? Great place.

I work in the black hole called Tyson’s Corner. There are not any fast food restaurants I can walk to so this place gets quite a bit of business from me. I also like burritos the size of a fucking baby’s head, so I return to the Mexican section a lot. Chinese is so-​so at best and salads are by the pound… so a salad could cost you $ 25 if you’re not careful about what you have added. The Galleria Mall itself is features so much overpriced bullshit that it is amazing that they have a fair priced «food court», but they do. Food is better than most food courts, but nothing phenomenal. Corner Bakery in the same mall features better food at similar prices so that is the place to be if picking between the two.

This is a hidden gem in Tysons II and is the Galleria’s slightly classier equivalent to a typical mall food court. I would never have known about this place if my coworker and I hadn’t perused the online mall directory the other day while looking for a new place to lunch. Until now, we had been confined to PF Chang’s or Corner Bakery for a quick bite, but this is easily my new favorite spot… too bad this is my last week of internship.
There are SO many options here that it will really make your head spin. A custom salad station, a wraps/​sandwiches station, cheesesteaks, pasta, udon noodles, gyros, freshly baked thin crust pizzas, Asian fare, sushi, a whole wall of drinks, chips around every corner… the list goes on. Everything here is extremely reasonably priced; I don’t think I spotted a single entrée over $ 10. After my indecisive self finally ordered the chicken kebab platter, I was shocked at how much food I got for $ 9… it was quite literally a platter of rice, salad, and 2 generous skewers of grilled chicken and grilled vegetables. The chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned well, though my rice was a little soggy and my pita was too chewy.
I love the fact that everything here is made fresh, right in front of you. I was in awe when I saw someone making each pizza order on site (I will be ordering this on Friday… yes I’m planning Friday’s meal already…)
From the other reviews, I can definitely relate when they say that, while everything is affordable, it adds up fast. If you want a drink and chips, you can easily spend about $ 15 here. I opted for a chocolate chip cookie which I’m nibbling on right now and I must say it’s one of the most delicious choco-​chip cookies I have ever had… yummm!
I will definitely be back later this week and am sad I didn’t discover this place sooner. The service can be a little slower than desired, and seating space goes quickly due to all the offices nearby, but the selection and food here is certainly worth the trip.

I was upstairs at Tyson’s Galleria and stumbled across this place. At first I thought it was a restaurant but it’s more of a food court because it has not only Italian food but also Asian, Mexican, and sandwiches. I decided to order the linguini which comes with marinara sauce, sundried tomatoes, basil leaves, and chicken. However, when I received my meal it was cooked in Marsala sauce not marinara. I felt bad asking for them to cook me another one since they were closing up, but the manager gave me a discount. That made the experience a little more positive.
The linguini was not very good. The Marsala sauce hardly had flavor and was too bland. I couldn’t really taste the basil leaves even though I saw them in the dish and the noodles were a little overlooked. Also, some of the chicken was cold.
The food was a D– but the manager was friendly. With that being said I would go back to try some of the other items on the menus to give it a second shot.

A nice place to have a quick lunch in Tysons. It’s about the only place in the Tysons II mall proper that’s busy.
I tried the gyro salad, and although a little bit greasy, it was fine. Although, the meat was somehow a little bit «salty, yet «bland» at the same time. There’s potential to be much better with more Greek spices.
The flavoured ice teas were a nice touch. However, they were also a little bit «bland.» I got the peach tea and perhaps it could use a little more peach.

I love this place. It has amazing variety of fresh healthy foods. I ordered one of the less healthy options, pizza. It was delicious. It lost a star for price. However, it is in the Tyson’s Galleria Mall so that comes with the territory.

The food is great here! I’ve had the soup… and I’ve also had the salads here… but the service is HORRIBLE! I would think being in Tysons II they would have better manners towards customers…

As far as food courts go this is pretty nice. The food is good and seems nice and fresh, and for a fairly small place they have a really wide selection of food. That said, sometimes the portions can be a bit small. If I worked nearby I would probably eat here more often, but if I’m driving to Tysons for food, I’m probably going somewhere else.

I love the idea of this place. Reminds me of the Piazza di Giorgio at Caesars in Atlantic City. Lots of variety here in terms of food. Sandwiches, wraps, pitas, pastas, salads, Asian, grilled stuff, drinks, desserts, etc.

Food was good and reasonably priced depending on what you get I guess. My only beef was with a sign that said pick any 2 out of 4 items.

If you work in the Tyson’s Corner area, you surely must already know of Piazza di Giorgio. What sounds like a fancy Italian restaurant is actually the name given to the food court, of sorts, that is more like a cafeteria located on the top floor of the Tyson’s Corner II mall. Like many corporate cafes, Piazza features a bunch of different varieties of foods including grilled items such as sandwiches and roasted chicken, pizza, asian soups and rice dishes, salad, pasta, soup, and deli sandwiches.
Once you’ve collected all the food you want to eat, you check out at the cashier, cafeteria style and can dine at the tables located in the convenient seating area. And once you’re all done, leave everything on the table and the staff comes through to bust your table for you.
Overall, I love this place. My coworkers and I probably come here once a week, or once every couple weeks. The only bad thing about this cafeteria is that the menu doesn’t really change much so once you’ve visited this cafeteria a handful of times, you’ve probably had most of the best items there. That’s not to say the food isn’t good though, you’ll definitely come back for multiple lunches once you’ve had delicious items such as the Thai Chicken Salad.
But because of the invarying menu, this place doesn’t get a perfect rating from me. But it’s definitely a great place to go for lunch!

You’re getting what you expect here — this is one of those cafeteria-​like Food Courts where they don’t put any chain restaurants (no Charlie Chiangs or Five Guys) but try and offer food that appeals to every possible taste. There’s Mexican, Italian, American, Asian, a Smoothie Stand, a Coffee Barista, and all of that. Compared with the Tyson’s Corner Food Court, I think the general quality of the food is better. It’s a decent lunch spot meant to do the job of feeding you quickly.
The real star of this place is also the place with the longest line — the salad station. They offer a nice variety of salad options or you can make your own customized solution. The list of toppings is pretty extensive; I usually get the Chicken Caesar or Cobb and am always satisfied with the results. It’s big enough, filling enough, and freshly prepared. Can’t beat that for a salad bar.
The rest of the food is hit or miss and seems to vary by both the day and TIME of day (come here after 1 and they’ll be sold out of most things).

3.5 stars for the large Italian basil leaves — used them to grab noodles and beef w/​chopsticks. Hearty greens.
Been here many times. But this review will be for the Udon section of this upper level dining area.
The charming gentleman preparing my choice had more flavor than the udon.
To be fair, udon normally is prepared with a mildly flavored broth. But imagine my expectations when I saw one of the soup options was «Phở broth». Reaction after tasting — um… no. It’s broth. Gripes — solution, squeeze a load of Sriracha!
The protein I chose was beef. I eat cow a lot but I am terrible w/​the body part names so I’m gonna say it was the eye of round? These were thinly sliced and had a good amount of fat on the ends and oh so soft.
There were other goodies to add to the soup in the end of the process. After he placed the udon and simmering soup in the bowl, the beef slices were laid on top. Then included were the lovable large Italian basil leaves, bean sprouts, circle-​cut jalapeño slices and chives. The finale, of course, was the Sriracha hot sauce once the soup tray was on my hands.

Cost of udon «Phở broth» soup — around $ 7.50-$ 9.00. The receipt only had the total $ 11.29 and I also got water. How much does water cost here??? What’s the sales tax in Va.
In the end, it was a subtle nose-​clearing dish w/​some heat thanks to the jalapeño slices and the Sriracha.
As far as this dining area goes, as other reviews mention, it is a cafeteria-​style stop. Pick your eats, pay the cashier before exiting and sit down to enjoy. Leave your tray at the table — the good peeps will take those away.
Good place to sit and shoot the breeze after consuming. Seriously, how much did that bottled water cost o_​O???
