Last I checked, they hadn’t been doing this for several years. This post should be taken down.

Today was the first time this Saturday farmers market was held in the rear parking lot of the Tysons Hilton. Amidst a light drizzle and a overcast sky, a few people eagerly came out to visit the first weekend TyCo farmers market. The Sweetbites Truck was there with their tasty cup cake offerings as well as a few other merchants. There was a produce stand with beautiful strawberries, fresh asparagus, lettuce, beets and radishes. Across the other end of the parking lot sat the Martin’s Angus Beef Company stand with a nice spread of tasty meat cuts that would make any meat eater say in a primal voice, «Tastee meeeat gooood, Napster baaaaad!». Next to them was a baked goods vendor called Panorama Bakers offering freshly baked bread, muffins and sweet treats. Although I had expected to see more vendors, the merchants in attendance had amazing products with prices that were reasonable and very sunny attitudes to brighten this poo poo rainy day. I ended ip leaving today’s market with a big French baguette, a bag filled with the most beautifully colored radishes and the cherry on top for my first visit; two cupcakes. Oh yeah! As a TyCo area fan, I really hope this weekend farmers market takes off and attracts not only more vendors, but a large crowd of TyCo patrons. Best of luck Lifestyle & Farmers market, I for one will continue to check in every other Saturday.
