History
Established in 2010.
Third Street Flats opened Memorial Day weekend of 2010 and represents a new kind of lodging option in wine country – the chance to rent your own historic apartment by the night or by the week.
Owners Travis, Erin, Brian and Dianne are avid travelers and have stayed in just about every type of accommodations while traveling abroad, but have always preferred renting an apartment by the night, a common and easily available option throughout Europe. They love the freedom of having your own apartment when visiting somewhere else, as well as the ability to ‘live like a local’ rather than being surrounded by other tourists, so decided to bring the idea to their hometown of McMinnville.

Inspired By Our Travels
As avid travelers, we’ve had great adventures over the years. Like anything else, travel is a skill, and having spent many months on the road in Europe, we’ve learned most lessons the hard way. But as a result, we know a lot about what we like, and what we don’t like, when we’re trying to absorb the culture of a new place. And those experiences have given birth to 3rd Street Flats.
Because we believe travel should be on YOUR terms, not on ours, we want you to feel hosted, but without a host – so you’ll find local wine and chocolates waiting for you when you arrive, next to a guidebook covering the area. We’ll point you in the right direction if you’re interested, but it’s up to you. If you’d like to explore on your own, ignore the books. You don’t have to talk with anyone if you don’t want to, and we won’t tell you what you have to eat for breakfast. This is your experience, and we think you’ll enjoy having the chance to choose your own adventure.. .
