Waited over a hour, worst service ever, not worth the wait at all, you can go to a fine dining and have a seven course meal that would take less time and be alot better

I vowed never to come back two years ago with Michael’s service(former owner). His service was deplorable, which was a shame because the food was outstanding. Earlier this week, I was told that the new owner is great and that they’re now open till dinner. My family and I ate dinner here yesterday. Dinner was tasty, service was great and we were satisfied. I went back tonight. There were three other people seated when we arrived. My appetizer was over salted — to the point of being inedible. I called our waitress(new owner?) and she was understanding. She came back and said she’d tasted it, and the batch was over salted(I noticed the lady at the table next to me was still served the soup). That was the last time we saw a waiter or waitress for 40 minutes. I watched food come and go at every table next to us. A couple who were seated after our us were half way thru their main course and we hadn’t been served a main course yet(and I had no appetizer as the soup was way too salty). I called the waiter and asked how much longer. He said 1 ½ minutes. Five minutes later I walked to the desk and explained what happened to the female waitress(owner?). I was starving and probably not super polite, but I was not impolite or irrational either. She told me that the order was put in 36 minutes prior and would be out soon. She was polite but I felt she was brushing off the fact that we had been sitting for 60 minutes at that point and that the order appeared to have been put in 15 minutes after the order was placed. She was very prompt to bring the food and wait on us after. However the experience felt reminiscent of Michael’s service. The dinner was tasty, with exception of the soup. I enjoyed both meals(yesterday and today). The atmosphere is nice. However service trumps food. If I’m starving, it helps to be given service and cared for(before the«meltdown»). I wish them luck, but wanted to give honest feedback.

A terrific place for breakfast! We had a caramelized banana pancake, ham and Swiss cheese crepes, and the special egg dish with bacon, mushrooms, asparagus and havarti. All of it was delicious. Served with a smile. What a wonderful find.

Incredible food. Great atmosphere. The help is amazing. I would give it 5 stars but the portions were small for the price. If you’re a big eater or on a budget avoid this place.

Enjoyed breakfast. Nice staff. Get there at 8, no wait. Everything was cooked perfectly. The cheese corn meal was good, they are not grits. I prefer grits.

I have to say the Crescent Café knows how to do breakfast. The chicken and biscuits with two eggs is just awesome, it’s breakfast comfort food. My wife had the daily special omelet with blue cheese, pears, bacon, caramelized onions and a balsamic reduction, in her words«it was the best egg dish I have ever tasted». It a must visit anytime in McMinnville.

Outstanding breakfast, had the fried cornmeal and it was excellent. All the breads and biscuits are made on site seating is a bit limited so get there early. I have no photos to post, the food was to good to wait for a pic :)

Pork Biscuits and Gravy, Molasses Toast and a great cup of coffee! That’s all it takes to make me a very happy man! My wife was quite happy as well with her Open Faced Avocado, Peppers and crispy Carlton Farms Bacon Omelette. Very generous portions! There was no scrimping on the avocado!

ASGOODASITGETS. As a student who attended Linfield College, I quickly found this amazing breakfast spot a home-away-from-home. My family and I are a total foodies and they quickly fell in love with the spot as well. The owner, Michael, is OUTSTANDING. So charming, funny, and welcoming. You may have to wait a long time to get seated, but trust me — THEFOODISWORTHIT. The coffee alone is amazing. The cinnamon rolls, the corn beef hash, the waffles, the bread… the homemade biscuits… TODIEFOR. So glad that this place is around, since moving back home to California after graduation I’ve missed it terribly! We love you Michael and all of the WONDERFUL staff at Crescent Café. Don’t miss this incredible eatery.

Cons: –Kind of a long wait to be seated –Another long wait to get the food Pros: –Very cute restaurant in the adorable McMinnville downtown –The coffee they use is rich and smooth, almost tastes like an americano –A menu small enough to be able to make a decision, big enough to suit a variety of tastes –A list of specials that you won’t be able to keep up with –Food is very good. I had the breakfast sandwich, which was tasty and well done. I would have preferred my eggs scrambled to fried, but the ratios of the sandwich fixings were perfect with good flavor

WOW this place is an absolute 10+. Five stars aren’t sufficient… Amazing food. Friendly staff. Large variety of menu options. Very clean. Explosion of flavors. I had an open faced chicle omelette and it was beyond delicious. An absolute must. I’ll be back. I can’t wait to try other menu items.

We were in town for a friend’s wedding and stayed at the Hotel Oregon across the street. I saw that this place had high ratings on Unilocal and decided to stop by here for breakfast. Fried Cornmeal — I totally won the jackpot with my order! The fried cornmeal was so delicious! It was basically fried polenta sliced up and topped with scallions. It was perfectly cooked that is soft on the inside and a nice crunchy crust outside. The scallions provided a small kick and chewiness to the dish. I can seriously eat this everyday. Corned Beef Hash — This was terrible, the corned beef was super salty and the hash was a bit tough. I took two bites of this dish and promptly handed it back to the bf for him to finish. The toasts that accompanied the dishes were good, although I couldn’t really taste the ingredients that were supposedly in them, i.e. molasses and oatmeal raisin. I can totally understand the mixed reviews for this place. I think it all depends on what you order. I would give the cornmeal dish a 5, and the beef hash dish a 1 or 2. I think the good coffee pushed my rating from 3 to 4.

This is one of my most favorite restaurants in all of Oregon. Their food is incredibly delicious, fresh, seasonal, and unique. Nearly everything is made in house(honey oatmeal raisin bread is my jam and I bring home a loaf almost every time I visit the state). I’ve never eaten anything here I didn’t love. If you’re a breakfast eater, or an eater in general, do yourself a favor and drive on out to downtown McMinnville for the best breakfast of your life. Today I ordered the fried cheese grits with eggs(over easy) and toast and shared a cinnamon roll and bowl of freshly picked strawberries with homemade whipped cream with my parents. It was bomb. It’s always busy, so expect a wait, but trust me when I say it’s worth it. Honey oatmeal raisin bread, guys.

I ordered the omelette special, and that day it had a Mexican flair. Chunks of pork with a chile verde sauce. Ok. It’s different. Not too crazy. I jumped for it. The waiter made the bold statement that ‘this will be the best breakfast I’ve EVER had.‘ Well shoot… Now I’m downright excited! Unfortunately when my omelette arrived it was swimming in a pool of pinto beans(not disclosed in the description of the special) smothered in a verde sauce and large chunks of inadequately seasoned pork. I am not a fan of eggs that are cooked to where a brown/burnt crisp/crust starts to appear on the eggs. Usually means the pan was too hot when the eggs were cooking. Some people love it, but to me, it’s a sign that someone doesn’t know what their doing, or they weren’t paying attention. Everything else was fine. Typical breakfast fare. I’m hoping I caught them on an off morning… I’d go back if I’m in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.
