Specialties
Dominio IV Wines specializes in crafting unique and delicious wines from Syrah, Tempranillo, Viognier and Pinot Noir.
We planted Tempranillo, Syrah and Viognier at the Demeter certified Biodynamic Three Sleeps Estate Vineyard in the Columbia Gorge in 2002 In May 2012 we add small parcels of Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Our Pinot Noir comes from deft farmers in the Willamette Valley that see eye to eye with us on natural farming practices.
Our Tasting Room is located in the Granary District of downtown McMinnville and is open for visits Friday and Saturday from 12pm-5pm and by appointment. We look forward to meeting you and sharing more about our wines.
Cheers!
History
Established in 2002.
After living in Tokyo & Seattle, we moved to the smaller side of places: Chilean bodegas, New Zealand open skies, & the rocked walls of French vineyards. U.C. Davis set our clocks to the exact time, the international tick of the grape vine. But like anything else, you know something better after you have done it for your self. So we moved back to Oregon, looked at the ground, looked at each other, and said, «How about here?» Then came the maps, the soil surveys, & wild-eyed glee of hopping a fence with shovel in hand to see & smell the soil. After a few barbed-wire rips in the pant leg inseam, we found an east-facing slope in Mosier, Oregon & set out to plant what it wanted: Tempranillo, Syrah, and Viognier. We stayed where the wine jobs were in the Willamette Valley, moved Leigh’s parents into the vintage 1977 doublewide and gave it a go.
Cheers!

Manager
I am excited to describe and educate our tasters and people of interest about our wines and the overall philosophy of Dominio IV Wines. It is a privilege to work in a facility with such a diversity in wines and a focus to acknowledge where the final product comes from, the vineyard.
