Color Me Mine

I went in on a double date with my wife and one of her friends. We were sat down at our table, and aside from a short «pick what you want and write it down on the sheet,» not a single person on the staff explained anything to us after that. It wasn’t until we were all finished and looking around the place with confusion that one of the staff (who was sitting and painting, but not actually helping customers) told us what to do.
This place is NOT cheap. I painted an espresso cup and saucer, and my wife painted a bowl. The total was over $ 50! I certainly don’t feel like I got anywhere near that in the experience, and certainly not the service.

I love art. I love to draw. This is a great place for people like me to kill some time, do something creative, and leave with something to show for my time.
I have been here several times. Once with my husband. Once with my mom. Once with my friend (along with a bottle of wine) for a girl’s night out. One with my husband and kids. Etc. I’ve even done custom wedding presents, birthday gifts, and other one of a kind items.
Each time has been fun. It’s a little pricey so be sure to wait for specials.
You pick your item, you pick your colors, you paint the item. You pay the bill and can’t believe it cost you $ 30.00 for a single salad bowl (I’m kidding, but I’m probably not that far off).
If you take kids, go early and get a low table. If you go on one of the popular nights, be prepared to wait (sometimes a long time) for glazes or the blow dryers in order to dry your piece between coats/​layers. If you’re paying for the studio time by the hour, every minute waiting for some OCD person to dry every last little spec until it’s as arid as a desert will make you frustrated.
There are a lot of items to pick from. Nothing is cheap so don’t to into it thinking you’re going to save big bucks on custom items. Go for the fun, go for the creative outlet, go for the fun you have sitting with friends and/​or family and doing something different and talking for a while.
