We frequent liberty Forge Sand Trap and have done so for years. We live nearby and so do 100’s of other in all the surrounding developments. Altland house food is good. During the season we frequent the wing special night. Prices are reasonable, service is great, food is good. If you live in Hedgerow, iron forge, highlands, give it a try. You won’t be disappointed and yes you can bring your kids. We enjoyed the Mothers Day Brunch equally!!!

We had an excellent brunch experience at Liberty Forge this past Mother’s Day. As someone with event experience, I appreciated the presentation and variety of the food, the way it was kept hot and trays were refreshed until well after brunch was scheduled to end. As far as everyone else in my party, they were impressed because everything we tried was absolutely delicious!(To name a few highlights: prime rib station, smoked salmon tortellini, potato crusted haddock and cream of crab soup. And the«19th Hole» cocktail!) The view of the greens from the patio are idyllic, very photogenic. Last but not least to mention, Sam went above and beyond to take care of us. He’s completely accommodating and hilarious; Liberty Forge is lucky to have him. We can’t wait to stop by again!

So I came here 2 years ago on my birthday since I had a Clipper coupon… and it was good! Was impressed with the food and the service. Food was all fresh and prices were right even though you’d assume they would be overpriced since the restaurant is at a golf course. So… I came back this year for my birthday. It was bad. I came with my mom and daughter, all excited to try their new menu. The place was completely empty on a Monday night, so I was surprised that we were ignored when we came in. We sat ourselves and ordered French onion soup to start off. The cheese on the soup was barely melted, and the soup was all watered down. Tasted like beef broth. Which, yes I know, is the base of French onion soup… but no other layered flavors. I ordered a bacon grilled cheese quesadilla for my daughter since the kids meals consisted of a burger, chicken fingers, or regular grilled cheese for $ 6.95! The quesadilla was the same price, and it was huge. My mom ordered the burger and I ordered the buffalo chicken flatbread pizza which was only $ 5(Monday special). My mom said burger was ok, typical frozen patty. My daughter’s quesadilla had unchewable bits of bacon, which makes me think they were bacon bits. The quesadilla came with a tiny little sauce cup of tomato bisque for dipping which was really good. My pizza was a joke. The chicken was from a bag of refrigerated chicken shortcuts… the kind that is already cooked but chewy. There were maybe 5 pieces. The bleu cheese chunks and sauce was only located in the middle, didn’t even come up to ¾ of the crust. A completely disappointment of a meal. We will never go back. The server made us feel like our presence was keeping her from something, even though we were the only table the entire time. None of the food was good, service was blah… it’s obvious people have caught on since the place was so empty.
