Specialties
Located just west of Harrisburg, we’re a senior living home providing specialized assisted living services to residents in our apartments/suites. While caring for all of our residents’ needs, we help residents live an independent lifestyle as much as possible. Our specially-trained staff provides three levels of memory care, from early stages of dementia to those living with advancing Alzheimer’s.
We follow a person-centered care philosophy, meaning that each individual receives assisted living care at their exact level of need. For those living in our traditional personal care setting who benefit from having a structured day, we provide therapeutic adult day care 7 days/week.
A full program of enjoyable and educational recreational opportunities is available to residents, including trips, clubs, and more.
To provide the highest quality of care, an LPN is on-site 24⁄7 and we use a computerized medication distribution system.

History
Established in 2001.
Founded by Bob Basile, The Bridges at Bent Creek opened in 2001 to serve metropolitan Harrisburg. Bob has more than 40 years of experience in managing residential real estate in eastern PA.
The Bridges is a rental community without entrance fees. It provides a 24⁄7 home that is suited to the needs of our residents. Services available to each resident include social and personal care.
In early 2003, we expanded services to our residents to include on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapy. We’ve also introduced a program of restorative care for when a resident completes a rehabilitation program. This is intended to reinforce the process of rehab training with each resident, extending the benefits of their rehabilitation.
Since the beginning, we’ve put our residents first. Friends and family are welcome at The Bridges, and are encouraged to visit their loved ones. We host monthly and special events, including a monthly Sunday brunch that is open to family and friends.
Meet the Manager
Susan S.
Manager
As a professional, I am passionate about serving older adults. As the General Manager of The Bridges, I take pride in overseeing the daily operations of the community, including the secure memory care residence. And I help implement the programs and strategies that bring our mission and operating philosophy to life for our residents, family members, and team members. I am certified to manage licensed personal care communities in PA. Though I’ve been at The Bridges since 2006, my career serving older adults spans more than 35 years.
I found the field of Music Therapy while studying at West Chester University, ultimately earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Therapy from Montclair University. This field became my avenue to use my talents and passion to work with older adults, and it provided a way to commit my career to this incredible group of men and women. As a community, we help our residents to celebrate life each and every day.
