History

Established in 1975.

Velocity Cycles was started as Honda Sport Cycles in 1975 when Louis Cuomo moved his family here from New Jersey. In 1977 we moved from Camp Hill to our current location on the Carlisle Pike. Thanks to our customers we have been able to continue to grow, adding additional franchises and expanding our buliding several times

Business Owner

I started working for my dad in 1975 when the dealership was names Honda Sport Cycles. I was cashier and worked in the Parts Dept. I spent most of my years with the dealership in the Parts Dept. I also worked as the Service Manager for a few years before becoming the General Manger until the year 2000 when I became the owner of Velocity Cycles.

I have been riding motorcycles since I was 6 years old. I have ridden 3 & 4 wheeled ATV’s and done a lot of trail riding at Tower City when it was open to ride for free. I road raced for about 10 years, making it to the pro series where I competed on tracks like Daytona and Pocono raceway. My current stable of bikes includes a BMW R1200Rt with sidecar, BMW HP2 Enduro, Aprilia SXV5.5, Honda CRF250X, Honda RVF400. I ride as often as possible commuting to and from work most of the year and riding off-​road with my boys Joey and Sam.
