P.J. Whelihan’s Pub & Restaurant

Atmosphere is overcrowded and not family friendly when busy. The food is extremely inconsistent and often burnt. Make sure you get your money back if unsatisfied. The PJs in Haddonfield is above and beyond. Perhaps a major management issue. I’ve had great food in Medford but mostly over cooked terrible food. I will not be returning.

The waitress look at you like a paycheck and treat everybody else like the help. Don’t be fooled by a tight body, they are pigs. They throw garbage on the floor on purpose to watch others submit and pick it up. Don’t ever give more than 20 percent which is usually my minimum, just don’t EVER!

When I went here the food was decent but the service was slow. The wings are always great but it takes awhile to get drinks unless you are at the bar.

This place is the «Cheers» of Medford. Great interior and atmosphere. Food is decent, not spectacular. More like solid bar food. French onion soup is a mainstay here. The chili is hearty and spicy. Burgers are not bad. Sunday’s during football season are usually packed with fans. Good neighborhood hang out spot.

My Friends and I have enjoyed an amazing night out until me and two others received a cramp in our right thighs. During that time the awful politian Jeb Bush was talking. This explains why ⁹⁄₁₁ happened. Jeb Bush was on TV while we got cramps, explaining that PJ Whelihans directly did ⁹⁄₁₁. There is also too many Unilocalers in this restaurant and I feel too intimidated to create the best review I can make. The Waitress was also very mean when it came to my ethnicity. She knew I was Italian and didn’t even ask me what I wanted to order… she just brought a bowl of some damn pasta. The waitresses are also all white which makes me uncomfortable for me to walk in because they did ⁹⁄₁₁ and there are three letter in ⁹⁄₁₁ and there are three sides on a triangle. Therefore Illuminati confirmed. Beware PJ Whelihans is part of the Illuminati. At the end of our meal they had charged too much for our meal and we denied to pay for it and that moment they only kicked out my black friend. that’s pretty
conclusion, you should not go to this restaurant because they are racist and because a waitress stabbed me on the way out and because of my ethnicity of being an Italian Buddhist, in which the restaurant disrespected and segregated me from everyone else, I was able to reincarnate so I can give this review and help others. Also this place is very sexist. This is the reason why Donald trump should be in office. So places like PJ Whelihans do not exist anymore.

Had lunch here on Superbowl Sunday with a friend.
Both our burgers were cold and greasy (tasted like they had been microwaved).
No lettuce and tomato — had to jog waitress for that «delicacy».
This place is Consistent — — — — — — –Consistently «hit» or «miss»
I think the only thing keeping them in business is the booze (cause it ain’t the cuisine!)

The food isn’t great, typical bar food. On Tuesday they have a balloon guy come in so it’s family friendly, they also have half price wings. The wings are good, but rest of the food is average. And when it’s busy, the service is iffy.

Sitting at the bar, the waitress ignores me. It take a long time to order any food, or to get a check. Unfortunately I always get the same girl, after going 3 or 4 times. She acts sullen and sulks. Check says Alyssa. What a nasty attitude.

We have been to this PJ’s many times but over the past year the food and service has drastically declined. My husband and I both ordered soup his was warm, mine was cold which is the second time in a couple months. I ordered salmon that looked less than appetizing when it arrived. It had burnt bay leaf and rosemary on top, it was overcooked and very dry and cold. We like to support our local businesses but we will not be returning. On a positive note my husbands wings were good.

We went here because the Pop Shop was packed (45 minute wait). Because it was the closest «family» place nearby, we decided to give it a try. Whoa, what a disappointment. The portions were small, plain looking and the chicken nachos were dry and looked like a 3 year old assembled it. We ordered the kid pasta with butter and it was literally a plate of overcooked ziti with a cheap, airplane sized butter packet — my kid almost choked on the packaging. This place is a joke — it seems the only reason people come here is for the eye candy (waitresses), who by the way, looked barely 18. Pathetic dining option — I’ve had better food from a drive-​thru.

Ugh if they weren’t one of the only games in town! THREE cheesesteak wontons for $ 10 Drink specials are a joke! Over $ 30 per person for lunch!!! Nice service but seats were filthy & way too loud

It’s no secret that I love PJ’s. What born-​and-​bred South Jersian doesn’t? My family decided to check out the Medford Lakes location on Saturday night for a change of scenery from the Moorestown and Cherry Hill locations that we frequent. We were given a 25 – 30 minute wait time but it was more like 15 minutes which was great. Alysa was our server and she was fantastic — always swinging by to check on us and making sure we had everything we needed.
We started with the cheesesteak nachos which are awesome. Possibly better than the regular nachos because the distribution of toppings was on point. We also had wings, of course. I normally love PJ’s wings but they missed the mark for me on this visit. Their wings are usually pretty sizable which is why we always ask for them extra crispy, but these wings were almost too big so they didn’t reach the desired crispiness (I realize how ridiculous this sentence sounds, but I’m picky about my wings). My mom and I shared the Sriracha chicken tacos special but they weren’t very special. I tasted no trace of Sriracha and we both thought the dish was sort of lame. Should have went with my usual, the buffalo chicken salad, which my sister said was delish.
Menu misses on this visit aside, this PJs was running like a well oiled machine and that definitely counts for something. I’m sure we’ll be back soon since this location isn’t far from my sister’s house.

Great wings on Tuesday nights with ½ price special offered for dinning in! Good atmosphere

Solid pub food with a good craft beer list. Service is inconsistent, but never terrible. Food is good.

Seated ourselves.
Waitress arrives, asks about our party, is told we’re waiting on two (total of four), can we get waters for the table in the meantime. Arrives with two waters — disappears for 20 minutes. Friends arrive, no water, no waitress, no nothing.
Reappears…asks nothing about water — «know what you want?»
We order just drinks, get them about 10 minutes later, thrown together (chocolate on the martini rim running down the glass side) & heavily iced (worthy of sinking the Titanic)…don’t see waitress for another 15 minutes. Drinks gone — thoughts for ordering dessert are gone — urge to Unilocal about poor service rising…
Realize finally when friend points it out, that waitress has been at a nearby table most of the night talking with other servers and folks seated there.
Guess ya gotta be a local?

Menu is fine, place is local to us so very convenient. Great place for beers, wings and the patio. We go often, so I must like it.

Worst experience at a restaurant I’ve ever had. After we sat down 40 minutes went by without anyone coming to our table and ask us if we even want drinks. I had to say something to the host in order to get service. After ordering our drinks their was a cockroach crawling on the wall right next to me. I brought it up to the managers attention and he blew me off and walked away. Didn’t even bother to take off one thing from the order as a comp. I was there to talk about renting out the whole restaurant for our high school reunion but that is definitely not happening. Good job PJ’s for having horrible management

Service was lacking. Always had to look for the waitress when we needed something. Wings were good. Rest of the food was served cold. Decent atmosphere. Kids liked it.

I didn’t believe the bad reviews when I saw them. I thought a large business like PJs would correct issues with regard to staff… Boy I was wrong.
The server was very bad. I was served like I was a second class citizen. My order was messed up. She was very slow. At one point I saw her chilling at the bar eating the cocktail oranges from the bar!
Don’t go here!
