Applegate Soils

Applegate Soil sold me a $ 4000.00 order of SUPER HOT soil! We were so disappointed when the soil they showed us in the yard was not what was delivered to our property. Even after 24 hours of letting it sit, 6 inches under the surface you could cook an egg. (AKA fry my plant’s rootballs!) and it has a smell of pneumonia. Acidic and hot! Not premium ready to use soil like we asked for and they told us we were getting! At the time of purchase Roach (the manager) told us it was his blend that he designed and mixed– FALSE! Not even mixed in Southern Oregon. Rather than telling us the soil wasn’t completely broken down and very hot, they sold it to us, knowing that we were trying to use it immediately. Not only was the soil HOT, costed more than the competitor, the delivery cost was double the price than other companies because they only have a small two yard loader so it took an extra 45 mins to load the soil on my dime! To top it off they didn’t even write in our total on the receipt. When we called to resolve the misleading purchase of HOT soil, they admitted that it was HOT and ACIDIC and did absolutely nothing but tell us to wait for it to decompose!!! If we wanted to buy compost we would have went to the green waste and bought it for a third of the price! Unprofessional, poor poor business practices, and untruthful!!! Never again will we order from them.

These guys are very unprofessional. They carry some unique products but are rude and unreliable. Don’t depend on them, you’ll be disappointed.
