First and foremost, where the hell did this thing come from? It’s incredibly new, or meticulously maintained. First encountered it when chatting with the Boston Whitecaps, and have been back once for a game. Uncovered, bench seating hearkens back to Any Given Friday of high school gridiron, and rightfully so — it’s the official field for Medford High’s football games and track meets. That said, Medford High is pretty generous with loaning out the space to outside orgs, like the aforementioned Major League Ultimate kids. Couple the spectrum of covered events with a dirt cheap, beer-stocked concession stand, ample parking and the blinding brilliance of three kajillion watts in fresh bulbage, and you’ve got a easy, low-cost way to kill a few hours. Or run a few laps. Whichever.

Nice stadium. The field looks great. Seats are aluminum bench seats. The concession were good — not too expensive.(including pizza from a local shop called Lisa’s) I saw a Boston Whitecaps game here, which is a Major League Ultimate team. I would go back. It was fun.
