Sorry but for all the shortcomings about this place such as the outdated décor, staff thats overwhelmed sometimes… but I’ve been eating here for at least 25 years! And I still Love the food, yea over the years I e gotten a few bad ones but I can’t name a place that can serve a perfect meal 100% of the time. Combo #6 sweet and sour chicken is the best Ive ever had, so all things considered I thinks it’s the best Chinese take out anywhere!

Very unfriendly counter service ! Burt crab Rangoon’s, dried out and burnt boneless spareribs, disgusting vegetable fried rice which was almost black and Szechuan beef and broccoli which was watery and no flavor with overdone beef and broccoli! All in the trash can!

Food is disgusting and not even worth the low prices. Even worse is the horrible rude unfriendly staff that has no idea what customer service is. I rather eat dirt off of the ground.

I can’t think of one thing to push it above a one star. Very grumpy staff. They stood in the kitchen while I waited at the desk until I said«I’m ready to order» I also said«I hear Szewan is the most spice of Chinese food” – no answer. I ordered«spicy» S shrimp and small hot and sour soup. Neither was spicy. Both tasted bland. The hot and sour had chicken in it – though it most places it’s without meat. I through most of it away. This place is neither worth my time, nor my money.

I have always enjoyed Mei Lings in the past. But tonight I was terribly disappointed. I ordered lots of food and all the appetizers were burnt. I am a regular there and when I called to see if they would fix this I was told they were«too busy» to redo my order. Unfortunately they have just lost one loyal customer and the many referrals that usually come from me.

Was in the area today so I decided to stop by for lunch and wow, I forgot how good their food is. Got a combo plate with lobster sauce, chx fingers, eggroll and rice and everything was great! There was a ton of food and the prices are great also!

standard American Chinese food. definitely your standard fare more of a take out or delivery place. hasn’t been updated in forever. but you get what you expect. however im close to giving it 4 stars just because of the beef teriyaki and the crab Rangoon. two of the best around.

The food here sucks! If you still want to order from here, make sure you have a functioning toilet. The lo mein was flat, the hot and sour soup was not even hot and looks like sewer water. Everything we ordered was disappointing. They didn’t even put fortune cookies in the bag.

I recently moved out of Medford, and this place is what I miss the most. The longevity of this business shows one how good it must be. The BEST crab Rangoon of anywhere I’ve had!

I absolutely love this place! It’s the only place I get my Chinese food from, and the owner and his wife are ALWAYS great to deal with!

Completely standard, Americanized Chinese food takeout joint. And that’s ok, they aren’t trying to be anything fancy and that is why I’ve been so loyal over the years. There are few places that offer combo plates for dinner that are still under $ 7 for a massive amount of food. I’ve been somewhat bad and I’m almost always drawn to them because of the value they offer here. A cold, winter night and you don’t want to venture out but have food for the next three days? Mei-Lings is on speed dial for that. Because there isn’t really anything special here, it’s tough to give them more than 3 stars. Three little polygons shouldn’t be looked down upon because they are doing almost everything decently. Occasionally, the fried batter on your shrimp is limp or the pork fried rice tastes a bit on the burnt side(they must use some of the darkest soy sauce possible because the batches are almost black-looking). There isn’t a ton of ginger/garlic flavor in the rice and they skimp on the egg… but it’s adequate. The teriyaki beef on a stick is a go to here and should be added to any meal you order. Succulent and always cooked to perfection, rarely dried out. The soups I am a little disappointed by, the broths are flavorless and no discerning qualities between all of the offerings, meaning they pretty much all taste the same no matter what you buy. As mentioned before, fried goodies can be hit or miss. I need to try some of the chef specialties but some of those are almost double the price of the combo plates. There may be two or three booths here but I’ve never actually sat, always take out or delivery. For two people looking to have a quiet, movie night at home can easily walk out of here with a bill less than $ 20 and about that when tip is included if you had it brought to your door. Orders are ready in just 10 minutes and delivery has never once been an issue in terms of timeliness and service. Plus they take credit cards which is a huge bonus in my book. I know I can’t give a place 3.5 stars but that’s really what it is and it is a great and quick takeout place in my local hood with pretty easy parking on Salem St. right out front.

I’ve been going to Mei Ling’s for over 20 years. This is the best Chinese food ever. The old fashion Chinese that you had when you were a kid. The owners really are friendly. When I want Chinese this is the place hands down.

I’ve been going here for many years and they are my favorite for Chinese food. I have tried many others in the area and are not anywhere near as good as them. Always friendly and excellent.

Overall, the food is not very good. If you have seen the place it is disgusting and dirty. They have forgot my order before and made me wait 45 min after all the deliveries were out. All that aside, it is a chinese spot open late night and there are not many in Medford. I am going to pass on it going forward

Decent if you want something late night and you’re in Medford. The nice thing is they will make you a custom combo plate if you don’t see what you want on the menu. I ordered chicken fingers, chicken fried rice, and beef teriyaki. It came with 4 fingers, 2 teriyaki, and a lot of rice with a small amount of chicken. The total price was $ 8.70. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough duck sauce. I asked for extra, but they won’t just give it to you. It costs $ 0.75. REALLY? Extra charge for duck sauce? That’s like a burger joint charging extra for ketchup. Plus, they don’t fill the original container. That’s why I didn’t have enough to begin with. Anyway, this place get 2.5 stars. If they weren’t so cheap with the duck sauce, and if the beef teriyaki wasn’t so small and thin, I would have given them 3 stars.

I have tried many Chinese places and this is one of my favorites. The owners are always here working and are very nice. The food has always been fresh and well cooked, never had a problem. The prices are average and the variety is the same as any other place.

As my first time customer there, I was not happy with the service. I don’t know about the food because I ordered it for my wife but didn’t have a chance to taste the food. but the food was very small for the money. When it comes to customer service it’s the worst. The guy with his broken English is very rude just because I asked him to give me more time to order. It was my first and last experience there. Don’t encourage anyone to go there.

Average Chinese food. Better than panda palace. Honestly, it’s not the best I’ve ever had but it really isn’t that bad either. It’s nothing special and is a little pricey. Portions can be very small(ex. General gau meal comes with 5 small pieces of chicken). It will do in a pinch. I recommend pick up. Derivery not so good. Sei bar on main st is way better. Spend the extra cash and go get good Chinese food.
