My go to place for car repairs. I have had big and small repairs done here, and have always been treated with respect and consideration – and fairly.

I have been going to C & D Auto for 7+ years. Joe is awesome. I sometimes have to go to the big box chains when I am out of town and they are always trying to up sell me, they put the fear of God in you saying «if you continue to drive this vehicle like this Blah Blah.»
Today I took my truck into C & D thinking the worse. It ended up being two minor issues to the tune of $ 300 (and that included an oil change) C & D is quick, reasonably priced and they have always treated me with respect. I never feel like I have been swindled after getting my truck serviced there.

I don’t recall ever being so disappointed in a company when I was initially told by Joe C & D treated a single woman with the respect and honesty she deserved in servicing her vehicle. A few weeks ago my check engine light came on, I called to make an appointment to have an evaluation. At the time they reset the light but Joe told me if it happened again to bring it in and I may need a part replaced at a cost of approximately $ 200.00. This past week the light came on so I brought it in & was told again by Joe that the sensor appears to have been damaged and I would need to have the whole unit (canister, etc) replaced at a cost of $ 647.00. He also indicated that if the job wasn’t done soon I was taking the chance of being stuck at a gas station because I would not be able to pump gas into the tank. In addition to being on a fixed income I was shocked with the information because none it made sense.
One thing mechanics seem to forget when dealing with a single women with half a brain that we have access to so much information on the internet, etc. I did my research and found I was correct except for the possibility the sensor failed (cost appx. $ 20.00) all of the remaining diagnosis was BS. Just to be sure my research was correct I spoke to a couple of gentlemen in the automotive field and they were as shocked as I was that I would be taken advantage of in such a way.
Just to be clear I have never had a problem paying when there is a repair to done. Before moving to Florida I had a mechanic in NH for 13 years who knew how to treat all his clients with the utmost respect. C & D you have lost a client!

My wife brought the car in for tire installation, they gave a same morning appointment after another shop I had been using wouldn’t do the job because they didn’t want to swap in the new TPMS sensors, despite charging for TPMS service!
They did a good job, went above and beyond and when there was a small glitch they worked to rectify it. To me, this is where a business shows their true quality, how they handle a problem. They were courteous, professional, the tires and TPMS are now great and the price was reasonable.
Highly recommended!

I absolutely love this place! I had been living in Central Florida for nearly a year and was preparing to head back to my home in Illinois. Quite a far drive. It was in my last week of staying with a friend in Melbourne that I noticed the gas in my car depleting quite rapidly. After finding this place on Unilocal and giving them a call they were very warm and welcoming even over the phone. After telling them my situation these gentleman treated me almost as if I was their own daughter and made sure that my problem was taken care of and other services like rotating my tires and changing the oil were done so I wouldn’t have any problems during my long drive back. All of which cost me less than I was prepared to pay! I was thoroughly satisfied and if I ever move back to Central Florida I will definitely be taking my car here!

Crooked. Please stay away from this place. I had an issue with the AC in my Mazda flickering on and off. These guys initially diagnosed the issue as being the blower switch (a $ 150 fix). I waited a few months to get the work done… when I finally decided to pony up the cash to get this work done I brought my car in and they tried to tell me the original diagnosis was wrong and that my entire AC system had to be replaced for $ 1300. Luckily I decided to pull my car out off there and get a second opinion from Firestone on Palm Bay road. They determined that it was in fact the blower switch, replaced for about $ 150, and now my AC is working perfectly.
I’m not sure why C&D decided to try and rip me off but, they have lost my business forever. I only hope that I can save others from getting ripped off by writing this review.

I have had my cars here a bunch of times and they always seem very honest. I originally had my car towed by AAA to them and they changed the starter. I had another problem 8 months later had it towed to them. They told me it was a faulty starter under warranty, no charge.
Recently, I brought my car there for an oil change and engine service light on. They told me the service light was most likely gas cap issue, which was not a problem. These problems could have easily been written up for some other part or labor not needed and charged to me. I trust these guys and they treat you right.

Went in to a chain store for an oil change. When I went in an hour later to get my car, the manager at the chain store told me that my front and rear brake pads were worn down to the metal and that I needed to get a replacement right away — that I’d be causing damage to the rotors if I didn’t do this. They’d put the wheels back on so I couldn’t see the pads myself.
At the advice of a friend I took my car to C&D. The employee there took all four wheels off and told me that I had at least 20,000 miles left before I needed any brake service.
He showed me the brake pads and it was clear that there was a lot of wear left before I needed to get the brakes serviced.
After all this — no charge for the service despite the time they took to look at my car and go over the info with me.
So while I didn’t use them this time I’ll be a customer for life now.

I would highly recommend c&d they stand behind there work and the owner is the best and really cares about his employees and his customers. I have never felt so comfortable about anyone working on my car until we had them work on my car and really gave me a good price and stood behind the work. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

This shop is great. They are always honest and don’t try to haggle with you on costs or products.

Very friendly, reliable and honest. Steve and Bob treat you like family. As a woman, I appreciate them explaining things to me. They are patient and I won’t bring my car anywhere else!

Bob is great. I bought a used van in Orlando, drove to Melbourne and couldn’t start it the next morning. I wasn’t sure what was wrong with it, so I had AAA drop it off at C & D and for $ 40 they replaced the battery and electrical connectors. Back in business!

Highly recommended! Used for battery issues, starter, brake, and strut problems and they even helped with an engine issue that Sunshine Dodge denied. Always courteous and AAA approved. They’re in a great location, near downtown Eau Gallie, with plenty of restaurants and unique shops with in walking distance, while your vehicle is being serviced.
