Friendly Toast Cafe 2

This is my favorite breakfast place for friendly fast service and amazing rye toast. I am never disappointed with my breakfast whether I get the two egg special, pancakes or eggs benie with avocado. They have a great selection of food and you can’t beat their prices for this area for what you get. I’ve gone to several other breakfast establishments that serve very similar items for more and the food isn’t as good. This family owned restaurant is the place to go.

This is without a question the best breakfast /​lunch restaurant in the area. My dad and I go there every Saturday and occasionally during the week. The prices are reasonable, service is great and the food is even better. I always leave full with leftovers. The corned beef hash, turkey club and omelettes are my favorites and their fried chicken may be some of the best that I have ever had.

My girlfriend and I had lunch here on a Saturday. I had a chicken caesar salad, she had a tuna melt. Both dishes were well portioned and prepared as you would expect for diner food. The real shining star though, was the soup. My girlfriend had the cheese soup, and I, the roasted red pepper. Both were fantastic.
The staff was friendly and responsive. The décor was adequate. One item that would increase my rating would be to remove the paper signs at every table that ask you to pay with cash instead of card. Like many consumers today, I do not carry much cash, and those signs make you feel awkward to present your card for payment. I’d prefer they remove the signs and absorb the few cents per item it costs to accept cards, into their pricing.

Friendly staff and good consistent breakfast and lunch diner fare. They have some interesting specials that don’t disappoint! Staff is friendly and patient even when I bring my preschooler along. We’ll continue to go back!

I recommend the vegetarian omelet and add asparagus! And I also love that the owner was willing to donate GC’s to the BOOTY RUN 5K for Colon Cancer Awareness to benefit our local charity (Cancer Care Foundation.) and I like to patronize these places that do give back to our community.
So when I decided to give this place a try and found it to be clean, waitress to be friendly and my service to fantastic. Food came out HOT and I enjoyed it! I think people who writes a novel for a review and nit-​picks to relax + calm down and realize your crappy review just makes you look like you have nothing to do but spew-​poo. IMO

I think they prefer their «known regulars» to outsiders. I knew something was off when the waitress deliberately wiped her smile off her face whenever she turned from her usuals to me.
The scrambles are puny. Definitely not 3 egg. I had about a teaspoon of ham on mine. It was really skimpy. Not sure if the owner is trying to cut corners or if they ran out at 10am. Scramble was about the volume of a deck of cards. Not okay at $ 9.
Turkey bacon was a joke, see pic. I couldn’t down it. First she told me it was included with the scramble then charged me for it.
They don’t have skim or 2%?? Really?
Definitely will not go back.

Worst customer service. To top it off I was sick to my stomach after eating here. I will definitely be going to the health department about my concerns.

I love to eat here! The girls that work at Friendly Toast are so nice and very efficient. Food comes out quickly no matter how busy and the prices are decent. It is good food for what you pay for. I am a fan!

Great breakfast at a good value. They have a really good set of non-​traditional breakfast specials to keep things interesting. The biscuits and gravy are quite yummy– not too flour laden, a lot of sausage in the gravy, and not overly spicy. Just right with a side of sausage.
We had an unfortunate tantrum with my disabled child. She threw her plate and silverware in frustration. They handled this so well and prepared her another breakfast without being asked. Kudos to the staff.

Service is fast and friendly. Portions are large, and prices are reasonable.
Husband and daughter both said that the pancakes were delicious. I’m not a big fan of pancakes, but I tried a bite, and I agree. My eggs florentine was very good as well.

Stopped by for lunch and it was great! I had the banana pancakes and hashbrowns and both were delicious — the pancake had banana chunks and the hashbrowns were thin shavings and nicely browned.
Definitely going back to try the Brazilian burger.

This is one nasty restaurant. They serve canned sausage gravy and don’t even bother heating it properly. Their sausages are purchased precooked and are of very poor quality. The cooks could not care less about sanitation as can be verified by reading their health inspections. Hand washing is non-​existent. I witnessed a cook sop grease off of fried eggs with a dirty towel that he used all morning for wiping any and everything. Please, if you love and care about somebody, do NOT take them to this dump. The owner, Laura, will no doubt respond and try to discredit me, when she should be taking her blinders off and clean up her act. She is a piece of work and should not be in the restaurant business. It’s a shame to me.

The food was pretty tasty and the servers were super nice my only complaint is that it just wasn’t very clean my kid touched a part of the wall And chunks of dust came off other than that it’s a nice little diamond in the rough

One of the best Egg Benedict that I’ve ever had was had here at Friendly Toast. When we were traveling on our way to south Florida the handy dandy Unilocal app helped us find this place; it’s a little bit off of I-​95, but worth it.
We walked in and were greeted by a friendly staff that told us to sit where would like, so we took a seat. Our server came up to take our drink orders, my wife ordered coffee and I ordered water; we both got coffee. While we were greeted with a smile, the server wasn’t all that friendly; but she was efficient at doing her job.
And one important thing to remember if you visit FTC2 is to bring cash with you; they don’t accept cards or checks, but they do have an ATM.

Poor food consistency. Meals are constantly inaccurate and poorly cooked. Really bad hash browns. Regularly short — handed in the dining room where rude female owner works. She is loud, belligerent and confrontational. Won’t be returning.

The staff is very friendly and the service is good. Coffee is obviously low quality grounds and seriously void of any taste. The orange juice was tropicana, come on people its florida, you can buy tropicana at Walmart. I ordered the hash omlette. The hash was out of the can which is a joke since making fresh hash takes little effort. The hash browns were frozen straight from the bag. You could taste the freezer in the hash browns. Awful!!!
Besides the food being of poor quality this place doesn’t take credit cards. Once I saw that we should have walked out. Its a sign of impending doom for a restaurant. Seriously what restaurant worth its salt doesnt accept credit cards???

This was our first time coming here. The food was average. The waitstaff was very friendly. I had bacon and eggs and French toast. The bacon was on the salty side and not the best quality. My husband had that cheeseburger. It was fresh however the meet was not very good quality so it was a little greasy.

I was skeptical about this place, I’ll admit it. The location is tucked away in a plaza off of Wickham Rd. We went on a Sunday morning and boy the place was packed! (Thats a goooood sign!!) When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by at least 2 servers. Even though they were obviously busy. One server had cleaned off our table and another sat us immediately.
There’s a menu you can order from but they also have a breakfast and lunch board with daily specials that aren’t on the menu. I decided to try the Eggs Benedict (of course!) And my husband tried the Pavo Benedict. (Eggs bene with turkey). We also ordered the coconut battered french toast on hawaiian bread that has a side of sliced ham and grilled pineapple ring. The food was GREAT! I loved my eggs benedict and my husband liked his also but I’m telling you the coconut french toast is a winner. It was SO good!
And to top it off, since my friends and followers on here know how picky I am about service, I’m just going to say that every restaurant in Brevard County should take notes from these servers. Service here was so good I cant even tell you the name of my server because they ALL came by the table to make sure we were prepared and happy. This place would be my #1 so far for best service.
My ONLY gripe. and I know a lot of people would rate low stars for this but the service and food was so good Im like who cares. BUT: My husband ordered coffee and I guess they were out of regular coffee cups so they gave him a mug that had brown bears on the front and read «dad, you’re the best!!» Or something to that nature. It was someones personal cup? To me, I was like send it back and get a regular cup but now my husband wants that cup every time because its bigger and he says «it feels like I’m at home with strangers. I like it.» He’s a weirdo! The other gripe I have is the servers carrying drinking straws in their back jean pockets. The servers don’t have aprons? I turned my lip and my nose up at the straws being in the back pocket but again. service was good, who cares. We’re definitely coming back! Its nice to have a breakfast place where servers and staff KNOW their customers. Great Job and I will recommmend you to all!

The best breakfast I have ever had! Reese’s pieces pancakes are the best!
