Great children’s area! A little play area with puzzles, books(obviously), and computers with kid’s games. Storytime every Tuesday & Thursday at 10am &11am for ages 2+. I brought my 2-year-old and he had fun! Storytime lasted about 45 minutes with a couple books, singing, dancing, and a craft. It was VERY crazy– at least 25 kids– but that may be because it was summertime? They also have a great summertime(June-July) reading program– track the minutes you read together at home, earn book bucks, redeem for toys.

The Suntree/Viera Public Library is 1 of 18 wonderful libraries in the Brevard County system. In area with a lot of families, they have a wide selection of children’s and young adult books in addition to thousands of music CDs, videos, dvds, newspapers, periodicals, magazines, and reference material. The children’s area has a few quiet toys which kept my niece and nephew entertained while my sister and I perused for some books. The Suntree/Viera library also has children’s programs, computers just for kids, services for the homebound and disabled, quiet study rooms, classes and community rooms, and free meeting room use. The building itself was clean, well organized, and had lots of comfortable seating. The service was friendly and I can see the library as a great asset to the community. The website also offers the standard service of placing holds on books making it even more easy to use.
