Consistently good take out. Buffalo fingers are perfect– spicy without being overwhelming. White pizza is stellar. Regular pizza I just okay but they get 5 stars for consistency, portion size and variety.

Decent option for takeout in the Melrose area. I’ve found that the food is inconsistent however. One time I ordered a pizza that was fantastic and the next time the same order was undercooked and they were not as generous with the toppings as the first. The subs(I’ve had steak subs and various wraps) are good but again, can be great one time and not so good the next. I think this depends on who is cooking them. The owner takes great pride in preparation but it seems his workers do not. Overall Theos is better than the other takeout and delivery options in the area

Sadly, I’m downgrading my rating. For a while, Theo’s delivery has been the slowest of any place I’ve ordered from. I recently learned that they changed their delivery radius. They no longer deliver to my house 1.5 miles away from the shop. I’m taking this as an opportunity to order from one of Melrose’s 11 other pizza restaurants that do deliver to my house.

I’ve stopped at theos pizzeria a few times and was pleasantly surprised how great there slices were, a little garlicky for my taste preference but still a really really good slice of pizza. bright and clean, very friendly staff

Moving to Melrose I was quickly stunned and overwhelmed by the sheer number of pizza places crowded on and near Main Street. It’s really a bit disturbing. Does one town need a big Papa Gino’s and three, yes three independent pizza-and-sub joints within two blocks of each other? And there’s a Comella’s open here, and now there’s Wood+Fire over by the Shaw’s, basically another pizza place, and I’m not even past City Hall yet. Take my advice on this: ignore all the pizza joints on Main Street, turn down West Wyoming, cross the tracks and go to Theo’s. Yes, there is a Lisa’s Pizza almost right next to Theo’s, I mean, it is literally 3 doors down on the same side of the street. And it’s an OK place, but go to Theo’s. Why Theo’s? Here are a few reasons why: 1. The pizza is always good. Yes, it’s Greek crust. But it’s well done Greek crust. The dough & sauce are made in house. 2. The meatball parm is not just good, it’s good for you. When I have a miserable cold, this is the comfort food I go for, because the next morning I’m cured. 3. The steak bomb is awesome. 4. Their beef kabob dinner is good. Ask for a little feta sprinkled over the top. 5. Fresh baked pita bread with every salad or dinner. The only thing that keeps Theo’s from getting five stars is their delivery service, which is not up to the level of their food. I usually just go and pick up my order. Although I did order delivery last week and it arrived in 25 minutes just as they promised, everything was correct and they didn’t forget anything. So they may be fixing this weak spot in their business. Meantime I’m gonna go and ponder the whole pizza shop thing with Melrose. I mean, what does the zoning commission do all day? Who approves these places? And how does that Papa Gino’s stay open? There’s almost no one in there whenever I pass it. And why can’t the building across from West Wyoming Commuter Station keep a business afloat for more than 6 months(I’ve seen 2 really neat bakeries open & close in that spot), while Heavenly Licks with its nasty ice cream & dirty interior stayed open for years? This stuff is starting to keep me up at night. Anyway — just go to Theo’s for pizza. Ignore everything else.

Grilled chicken Greek salad is on point! Fresh, crunchy and flavorful. Their bread is pretty amazing too!

I ordered online through foodler paid by cc and tip i noticed the salad I had on my order wasn’t there anymore. I called theos to order the salad and I would pay cash for it since I already paid for the order online. An hour later the driver showed up with just the salad. When I asked him about the order he said I have no idea they just give me the food. He then called the restaurant and they told him he forgot it. When I called the restaurant to let them know the man apologized and promised the food wouldn’t be cold. When the driver got back a half he later the good was cold and old. Not to mention the sent mozzarella sticks instead of the broccoli bites I ordered because they ran out of them. So they just decided to send me whatever. I called again and spoke to a woman she said they were busy and overwhelmed and to come in tomorrow for a new order. I didn’t want to do that I wanted a refund and to take the good back. She told me they were to busy to come get the food just keep it and call foodler for s refund. when I called foodler they told me the owner refused to credit me back. He said the problem is online ordering??? I tried to talk to him myself and he just hung up on me. So I have cold old food I spent 27.00 for it I will never order from them ever again

Best pizza in Melrose. I’ve tried about 6 places now and Theo’s is king. Sauce is tasty, toppings plentiful and crust is light and doughy. Their small salad is enough to feed four people as a side salad and it comes with this awesome fresh-baked«pita» that rarely makes it home untouched. One knock is that we always pick up and it’s never been ready when they say it is. 90% of the time they say«twenty minutes» and it’s usually closer to thirty.

Just moved here a couple months ago from New York, and I go to Theo’s often. I’ve tried all of the pizza places nearby and personally like Theo’s the best. The Pizza is consistently good, the staff and owners are extremely friendly. The crust is thin(not too thin, just right) and crunchy, the cheese and sauce is rich and I always leave satisfied. That’s all I really have to say, just wanted to take the time to give 5 stars to a place that I frequent. Will definitely be back here at least once a week.

I won’t be ordering from you again. Just got the food and though accurately delivered it was $ 14.50 total with the delivery fee. The delivery guy said«all set right thanks» I said«actually that is a bit high and I paid a delivery do you have change?» He stood dumbfounded and took off. I said«really? OK that is rediculous» now I wish I had been more adamant but I have two sleeping babies and two kids hungry for lunch.

There are too many pizza joints in Melrose to choose from when first acclimating to suburban life out here. Of course you have to try them all. There are a few chains but mostly mom-and-pop shops, this being one of them. By far the best pizza in Melrose. Love their magherita and other vegetarian options, crust is on point, sauce is great. Price is a little higher than you would expect but pizzas are a bit bigger and a lot tastier. We got everyone we know in Melrose hooked on this place!

I’ve been to theos a few times now and am pretty pleased. The pizza is really yummy… much tastier than Lisa’s…which is a few doors down. The Tuscan and the Aegean are my two favorites. The mozzarella sticks are pretty good too.

Got a pizza and a sub last week. Both of which were really solid. The buffalo chicken sub was well made — good ratio of meat and sauce. The pizza wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was really good. Large pie is big too, no skimping on portions from them. The two guys working behind the counter knew what they were doing, efficient, knew how to treat a customer. I was impressed by them first and foremost. Would return.

Ordered from Theo’s for the first time after hearing some good things. For a Friday night the food was ready when they said it would be. We ordered through Foodler and arrived at the estimated time. We had the buffalo chicken pizza with a side of curly fries and enjoyed everything. We will be going back to Theo’s again soon.

The food is good. The service is not. I have ordered a few times and usually the mistakes are excusable — Coke instead of Diet Coke, onions when I asked for no onions, etc. Today however it took them 75 minutes to deliver 2 salads and a turkey wrap. I am 5 minutes from the restaurant. The delivery time was estimated at 45 minutes. When I called after an hour they blamed the online ordering site(Eat24) for not faxing the info over to them. I have never had an issue with EAT24 prior(here or other places) and I did not get anything resembling an apology from the restaurant. Just poor form all around and there are countless places in the area to get pizza, salads and steak bombs.

My boyfriend turned me on to the place and I like it a lot. Of course, I’ve had their ziti with broccoli and I loved it. The cream sauce was wonderful. I’ve also tried their broccoli and cheese calzone and it was great. Their was tons of cheese and flavor. My boyfriend has ordered their steak and egg calzone, pepperoni and cheese calzone, pizza, tuna subs and salads and he’s loved them all. Their salads are awesome. they’re filled with veggies… grape tomatoes, banana peppers, cucumbers, red onion and olives. They also make their own pita bread which is amazing. Thank you! See you soon!

We used to order from Theo’s all the time. I can confidently say we have placed our last order. We live less than a mile away, were told 30 minutes for ONE cheese pizza. It took 56 minutes for them to deliver. Unfortunately, the past three times we ordered it took at least 55 minutes. See ya never, Theo’s.

Food was ok but customer service was terrible. Called to ask a question about an order(that took an hour and a half to be delivered) and was greeted by attitude from the person that answered the phone. Basically telling me to eat the food or get off the phone. Meatball parm sub had no cheese on it Buffalo chicken pizza was missing ingredients. The man who answered the phone didn’t seem to care. Won’t be ordering from here again.

We ordered Theo’s through Grubhub. The food was all cold when it arrived. Very disappointing. The chicken fingers were good and had a great salad, however the cheese pizza was not good. I was surprised because it’s hard to screw up pizza, but it just was not very yummy. :-(

Worst pizza I have had in a very long time. I should have just ordered a pepperoni soup.
