History
Established in 2013.
A veteran of kitchens in some of America’s great food cities (San Francisco, New Orleans, and Boston) I moved to Memphis when my wife accepted a great job here. Cooking is both an art and a craft (hence our name) — by opening this business I have the flexibility to showcase these aspects while also doing something else I love — teaching others the culinary skills I feel so passionate about and that are useful for a lifetime.

As a veteran of kitchens in the San Francisco Bay area, New Orleans, and Boston, Chef Kelly Hartman has forged an individual and eclectic style of New American Cuisine by incorporating styles, ingredients and techniques from a broad array of culinary disciplines. He relocated from Boston to Memphis in early 2013.
In Boston Chef Hartman collected a few accolades: Best Casual Romantic Restaurant (Boston Magazine 2012), Best Comfort Food (Improper Bostonian 2012), Best Neighborhood Eats (Boston Magazine 2011), and «Best Thing I ever Ate» feature on chef’s signature house cured corned beef and cabbage (2011).
Chef Hartman currently aspires to share his passion for all things culinary in a more intimate setting. Whether it’s a cooking demo, catering event, menu consulting, or one-on-one training he is able to give you and your event the personal attention it deserves to make it a truly unforgettable experience.
